The swank environs with a dress code with top tier service and prime cuts with delicious ingredients are a recipe for why this brand is long-standing and lives up to its name. On the Morton's Steakhouse Matchstick Fries: I need to order them, next time. They look like the frites you always wanted. Expertly thin-cut, fried crispy and fanned-out in a monumental, theatrical proportion. How do I know? Waiters kept walking by with them. Also, don't miss the Morton's Steakhouse Bar 12-21. They have a Power Hour: Sunday thru Friday from 4-6pm: menu items which caught my eye: petite filet mignon sandwiches, mini-Morton crab cakes and the Morton's Wagyu Smash Burger. Morton's started in Chicago in 1973 with the lore of a "Million Dollar Hamburger." There is no burger on the menu at Morton's unless you dine at the bar. We've always had a great experience at this location. Although we don't live in Reston, we're happy to make the drive because our local Morton's can be a bit more hit or miss. When we dine in the main dining room, we usually request Eddie as our server--he's truly top-notch! Yesterday, we stopped by and sat in the bar area, where Carlos and Mobin were incredibly attentive. We ordered the filet mignon sandwiches, short rib tacos, truffle fries, and Caesar salad to share, and everything was delicious!Carlos noticed that the kitchen had made a very minor mistake and had included something we had asked them not to. He went above and beyond by offering us dessert as an apology. We thought this was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and of course, we happily took him up on the offer! We ordered the sticky bread pudding, and it was absolutely delicious. It's officially my new favorite Morton's dessert! Since we had a good meal here last Christmas, we decided to go again this year. My husband made a reservation for 3:45 as it was about the only time available. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated in a room that was meant for private gatherings. They had crammed in far too many tables in this room We were given a very small 2-top table. Meanwhile, we noticed three empty 4-top tables. During our time there, no one was seated at those tables. We started with our drinks. I had a ginger ale while my husband ordered a beer. Service, throughout the whole meal, was very slow. My drink arrived, and the server told my husband they were out of the beer he wanted. So, my husband ordered a different beer, but it took quite a while to get it to him. For appetizers, I got the onion soup while my husband ordered a shrimp cocktail. When the appetizers finally arrived, no spoon was given for my soup. Good thing there was a teaspoon at the table because our server wasn't easy to find. Instead of getting the shrimp cocktail he ordered, my husband ended up with "Calabrian shrimp," which was nothing like a chilled shrimp cocktail. Instead, it was served in a hot soup-like sauce with crackers and was spicy. When the server came by to ask how things were, my husband told him about the mix-up. The server blamed it all on the kitchen and never offered to correct the mistake -- no offer to bring the right order and no offer to take the mistake off the bill. Finally, the 8-oz. filets we ordered plus the loaded baked potato and asparagus arrived. There was hardly any room to put all this food on such a tiny table. As for the food, we also got the onion bread, which wasn't served hot and wasn't anything to write home about. The onion soup was okay. The shrimp, as noted above, was a fail. The filets were cooked correctly but lacked flavor and were dry. The asparagus appeared not to have been trimmed, as the woody stems were still attached. The loaded baked potato was fine as it arrived piping hot. We didn't order any dessert. When it was time to pay the bill, we had to flag down our server. All in all, a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We both agree, we won't be back. read more

Our entire experience was superb, from excellent service to the great tasting foods! We started with the bacon steak and waygu dumplings, both perfectly seasoned. We got the tomahawk steak and Maine lobster raviolis to share and the steak came out perfectly grilled to medium and charred. We ordered a couple sides which were delicious as well. We order pickup from here quite a bit when we can. The service is always top notch and they always make sure to include all the extras. When you go inside the ambiance is classy and what you would expect from a high end restaurant. I've been going to Morton's restaurants for years with my family and Reston's Fairfax stands out. I usually get their 8 oz filet mignon steak with au jus, and their black truffle butter. The steak is always tender and melts in your mouth like butter. The flavor on its own is unmatched and is perfectly seasoned. The au jus is rich and savory and the truffle butter is generous in the actual truffles that they include. I also order their egg and onion loaf, a giant round loaf of bread with crispy onions on top. It is lightly crunchy on the outside and incredibly soft and warm on the inside. I always make sure to order a family side (all of their sides are family sized) of creamed spinach. It is freshly cooked spinach with a rich super creamy sauce and parmesan cheese. This isn't just your every day creamed spinach. Next we order their sour cream mashed potatoes. Incredibly creamy, flavorful and whipped to perfection. I never miss the chance to order these. Lastly we get their macaroni shells and cheese. These are medium pasta shells with a five-cheese cream sauce, smoked bacon (which I never get in mine), onion, and toasted panko breadcrumbs. Even my husband who normally doesn't enjoy Mac and cheese fights me for leftovers. It's so cheesy, but in a creamy pasta sauce kind of way. The breadcrumbs add the perfect crunch to the already amazing tasting sauce. They also never forget to leave out the bacon for me (a lot of places will forget). I will always choose Morton's over any other steakhouse when wanting to treat ourselves. It's not too expensive and worth the price for the quality you get, and the unbeatable service. They truly know what they are doing here. TLDR: I highly recommend the Reston Morton's steakhouse for their delicious upscale quality food, especially their melt in your mouth steaks. I continue, unsuccessfully, to find fault with anything/anyone in Morton's bar. The service is ALWAYS exceptional. The food and drinks are excellent and the Happy Hour has good selections and prices. It is not on the menu, but if you like Tofu, or want to try an incredible Tofu dish, just ask any of the waiters for it. Absolutely mouthwatering on a bed of sautéed spinach. Even folks that do not care for Tofu have found this a great dish. The Bourbon Old Fashioned is a fav but beware - it is so smooth and goes down easily. Enjoy! We visit Morton's in Reston regularly for happy hour with friends. We are always happy to see Oscar and Mobin working the bar because we know we are going to get great service with a smile. They know our usual drink and food orders and sometimes have them started before we even have to ask. Very attentive without imposing. The food on the happy hour menu is always delicious and there's a good selection to choose from. We often start with the hand-cut potato chips with blue cheese and French onion dipping sauces. Parking was a breeze as they have various options due to the location; there is onsite valet for $11, paid street parking via the RTC app and a parking garage down the block. I had the Chicken Christopher with a side of asparagus and it was delicious and extremely moist. The oysters Rockefeller were also very good, and since we had a large party we splurged and tried all the appetizers. You wouldn't expect a steakhouse food chain like Morton's to give a father and 3 yr old much personal attention. My daughter's favorite meal is a ribeye steak. I'm not even kidding lol. The Cajun Ribeye OMG BEST IN THE COUNTRY! The Mashed potatoes: whipped a perfection. She won't eat vegetables at home, but she eats the sautéed spinach from Morton's. Not only do they show her the attention they would show an adult patron but from the server to the hostess to the Manager, they always make us feel special. The manager even gave my daughter autumn decorations that belong to the restaurant just because he noticed she liked them. What Manager is paying attention to a three-year-old? The manager at Morton's :) One more thing, the waitress went to her car on her break and brought back a keychain that resembled what my daughter was wearing. My husband and I came here tonight because we were invited to a dinner. The truffle Cream Spinach in Phyllo was delicious and definitely was my favorite thing. While the food was great, the service could've been better. I'm not sure why, but my husband was their "target". We don't eat much, so we do ask for some of our food to go. For example, the salad my husband asked for it to go when he placed the order. The waiter said yes that's fine. When our entree came out, we didn't finish it either so we asked for boxes. As we were packing our entree, desserts came out. At our table we had 5 people. The waiter came from the side door and then slammed down 4 plates. My husband gave his plate to the person next to him since he can wait. After all the tables got their desserts, they still didn't bring his out yet. So he told the waiter that he never got his then they went to the back. He came back with the dessert in his hand, made eye contact, and then walked away. The whole table thought it was weird. We asked a different waitress. Her response was "my manager saw you packing the desserts so we won't bring any out". The togo boxes in front of us was mine and my husband entree. She basically made him open all the boxes to see. After confirming that there's no dessert, she goes and brings it out, but slam it on the table and walked away. At this point we were getting ready to leave, and they still didn't bring out his salad. Besides that, our soda didn't get refilled. We were given flat cokes. it was so flat that the color wasn't even correct and the taste was off. We were told that coffee and tea would be available during dessert however our waiter didn't take our order. And when asked, he walked away and disregarded what we wanted. This is our first time coming here, and maybe because our table was at a weird angle that the service was bad. It definitely left a sour taste for us and we will have to reconsider coming back. read more

He even bumped my phone when setting down my cappuccino and didn't apologize - guess he didn't approve of my looking at phone during dinner. Asked if we wanted bread? Duh! Morton's bread was terrific and not to be missed. Their Cajun ribeye was cooked perfectly and tasted great. We weren't that impressed with the Chilean sea bass so next time stick to steaks. Absolute joke of a "steak house." Enjoy spending almost $80 for a thin hockey puck piece of meat that's literally burnt to a char in areas and overcooked internally. Only 1/6 of our table's steaks were cooked to temp. How does a "medium" steak even leave a kitchen looking like that? Some of the sides were ok, but our Brussels sprouts were just barely beyond raw. That kitchen needs a serious overhaul. Experience was nowhere worth the cost of a $1,000 night out. read more

The sides were quite large and we didn't finish any of them... in fact, they could have marketed them as "shareable plates" or "tapas".
