Celebrated Mother's Day, May 10th, with Mom and family. We chose to dine during their Brunch time. The menu items were many and lots to enjoy. Our waitperson Antoine was wonderful and very attentive. Although there were many diners, we had a wonderful experience and I look forward to dining there again. We came here for a nice steak dinner and overall had an enjoyable experience. It is definitely on the pricey side but the service was good. We started with the crab cakes which were great. They were not dry and very moist. I hadn't had crab cakes in a while so these were a great way to start the meal. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip with pita chips and it was flavorful and satisfying. For my drink, I had the Berry White martini. It surprisingly tasted like those red, white, and blue popsicles but not in a bad way! I also really loved the complimentary bread they served. It was warm, soft, and hard to stop eating. For my entree, I ordered the Trio of Medallions. The steak itself was cooked well but I only really enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. This one was rich and flavorful. The Oscar-style was a bit too much for my taste and the bacon gorgonzola was too salty. It all overpowered the steak. We also had the garlic roasted mashed potatoes on the side. They were fine but nothing particularly memorable.

Great ambience, service and food! Glad there's one in my neighborhood! We came for dinner and it did not disappoint. I love the lobster bisque and my chef's plate. There were 4 of us and each one ordered a different entree and appetizer, and they were all well-presented and flavorful! The cocktails were also really good, i.e., old fashioned, and good selections of wines. The ones we ordered were very good! Will definitely come back either for HHR or dinner.

We had a great experience at Eddie Merlot's last night. Nice relaxing environment where they don't rush you (at all)! Our server, Eric D, was wonderful and gave great recommendations. The meal was so well timed - we started with their calamari with 3 dipping sauces - the wasabi aioli was amazing. Calamari was perfectly cooked - no chew!! I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the bourbon ribeye and we both loved our meals. We chose truffle Parmesan fries and tempura green beans for our sides (family style) and felt they were great accompaniments. We will definitely go back!

so I wanna add a review of Eddie Merlot's. I've been here a couple times for social events, but the wife and I came here last Friday night, when my daughter was at a friends house. The two of us had a very nice meal. We sat at a high top at adjacent the bar area, and our server was wonderful. She was attentive and informative. The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend this place. If you're in the Loudoun One area, the ambience is very conservative and nice in the Bararea. They have a bunch of TVs where you can see current sporting events and the Restaurant area is white linens and high class. check it out. You may enjoy it. I wish I had pictures, but may add later.

Came by for a quick dinner and was promptly seated. The service was good, the food was tasty and the place was not at all very loud thus I could have a decent conversation over dinner with my friend.

    Caesar Salad - nothing special

My company hosted their 2025 holiday party at Eddie Merlot's. They were packed on a Saturday evening but we were in one of their private dining rooms. Pre-dinner drinks took forever, over 20+ minutes. For appetizers I tried the filet mignon potstickers, too sweet and not enough meat; miniature ahi tuna wontons, edible but nothing special; miniature beef Wellington, nothing special. For our salad course, I opted for the Caesar salad, standard, and SO had the king crab and corn bisque, smooth, touch of sweetness but no crab or corn was to be seen. Would have been nice to have crab and corn on top. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon with a side of mushrooms for my entree. My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. A little fattier than what I like but it was seasoned perfectly and the mushrooms were the perfect accompaniment. SO had the 16 oz. ribeye, he thoroughly enjoyed but would have liked A1 Bold and Spicy. He also said his steak was cooked a perfect medium. The table shared mashed potatoes with roasted garlic, just ok; sweet potato casserole, way too sweet; and Brussels sprouts with bacon, good but too charred. For dessert the chocolate cake was preferred over the carrot cake which was dry. The staff was professional, courteous, apologetic for the slow drink service and for me, besides the filet mignon, the highlight of my EM experience. I would not opt to return unless it was for a corporate event.

We love Eddie's Appetizers , can't go wrong with anything you get. I was never a fan of tuna but this got my attention. The flavors work and it's get you craving for more. We love to just come and enjoy with friends. Best servers are jo and joe.

Chilean Sea Bass with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Prime Ribeye

This was my first time going to Eddie Merlot's and I had an enjoyable experience. We were able to get a last minute reservation 2 hours before and the person that we spoke with on the phone was accommodating. When we arrived to the restaurant, our waitress was very attentive and we appreciated all her recommendations and took her up on a few of them. We started out with 2 appetizers, the crab cakes and tuna wontons. My favorite was the wontons, they were delicious. The crab cakes were not worth it for me because it was more stuffing and less crab. For the entree, I chose the Chilean sea bass with a portion of the mash potatoes. The sea bass was amazing. It was so soft and melted in your mouth. I also appreciated the fact that in the area we were seated there was a certain dress code. The decor was also unexpected but it gave the restaurant a nice touch.

Our son was visiting us this Xmas week and as he has visited at Eddie before, we decided for Friday's meal to visit. We requested a table and were seated promptly. Cassandra was our server and she gets a 5 star for being attentive, great suggestions and just excellent. Patrick was not around as he usually stops by for me to personally thank Cassandra. Stated with barbecue shrimp (excellent) and crab cakes (ordered 1 extra) for appetizers (excellent) For the main course Cassandra suggested The island Cedar Salmon and it was a superb choice (it's a big fish). My son decided for the first time to Prime NY strip. He has had other choices. Here he was disappointed as he felt it had little to no flavor. We passed on our comments to our server. For dessert we had our usual Vanilla Cognac Brownie. An excellent visit except for the steak.

We made reservations since we were a group of 6 including 2 infants, and these were warranted as the restaurant progressively filled up as we got closer to peak brunch hours. We were offered a large booth, which was appreciated as we needed space for the babies. The food here tasted quite good. My wife ordered the Pork Belly Benedict, which offered tender-crisp, thick slices of braised pork belly atop soft, buttery focaccia and coated with well poached eggs and creamy hollandaise. We both highly enjoyed my Broadlands Breakfast Sandwich, a clever take on a standard bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich swapping crispy, perfectly sweet French toast for standard bread. The breakfast potatoes served alongside were crispy on the outside with fluffy interiors and good seasoning. Our friends enjoyed their sandwiches as well. As the name alludes, the drink program is strong and offers something for everyone. In addition to wine and whisky, a solid selection of both cocktails and draft beers are available. Prices for both food and drinks were quite reasonable given the quality of what we received. I do dock a star for just so-so service. Our waitress was a bit MIA during the first part of our meal when we were trying to order, and then kept checking in on us every 5 minutes once our food arrived. We also had to remind her a few times to get a high chair for our little one. Fortunately, the food and drinks all arrived accurately and within a timely manner once ordered. Service woes aside, the creative fare satisfied our taste buds and we look forward to returning soon for to sample more of the brunch menu and libations.

The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. It was very romantic and yet comfortable enough that dining alone wasnt awkward. I'd happily return.

They gave my friend her choice of any dessert for her birthday so she got the souffle with a fancy presentation. I splurged on the entremet which was gorgeous and yummy and not overly sweet despite being a million different chocolate things. I stuck to the sweet prosecco and my friend enjoyed several different wines - liking one red blend so much she bought a bottle. We capped the night with Carmel cappuccinos - smooth and creamy. We were here for a birthday meal for my husband, which we noted on the reservation. The good: Service, while not great, was ok. She asked if we were here for anything in particular and I mentioned his birthday (which in many places, they would have known from the notation on the reservation, but again, this was not something that bothered me in particular.) The rest: First, the food. Our appetizers were on the "specials": a watermelon salad and crab stuffed squash blossoms. The watermelon was good overall, but with the current issue of cyclospora outbreak, we probably would have picked something else if the menu had noted that one of the ingredients was arugula. I realize that this is just us being overly cautious but it would have been good to know in advance. The squash blossom stuffing tasted more like tuna than crabmeat. Edible but not that good. It got worse with entrees. Husband ordered the ribeye and I had the short rib. I was actually shocked to see that steak: it was SO thin. Wish I had thought to take a picture of it. Due to this, it was overcooked - almost impossible not to do so for such a thin piece of meat. A ribeye at Texas Roadhouse would have been superior to this, and probably half the price (it was criminal to charge $58 for this.) Also nowhere on the menu did it say that the seasoning in the steak was spicy. Again - would have ordered something else had he known that. Short rib was dry and the reduction sauce was overly salty. The goat cheese potato puree that accompanied both tasted good but there was so little of it that it was more of a suggestion of a side than an actual side. We skipped dessert and asked for the check, which took a long time to arrive. Eventually the waitress arrived, apologized for the wait, and set down an empty plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate syrup with a birthday candle. Huh??? Either give some kind of dessert or don't bother! We would have rather had no acknowledgement than this waste of time and dirtying a plate. To be clear - we weren't looking for a free dessert; we were ready to go and would have ordered something if we wanted it. But this is just weird. I'm sorry to see this place go downhill. It is overpriced and lacking in the quality that it had in past years.
