We had a wonderful experience last night at Founding Farmers at Reston Station. We were greeted warmly when we arrived for our dinner reservation and were seated promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room was eclectic, beautiful and comfortable, and the servers were attentive and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was delicious. I ordered the Classic Chicken Milanese. The cucumber lemon vinaigrette gave the chicken cutlets amazing flavor. The arugula salad was a perfect accompaniment. I would absolutely recommend it. My wife ordered the Hot Honey Fried Chicken, and she said she enjoyed her meal as well. (The grits were not quite warm enough, though.) This is the second time we've been to Founding Farmers, we we enjoyed it both times. Will definitely be back. P.S. They validate for parking, too.

Hubby and I dined here for breakfast and our experience was pleasant. The food was delicious. Our palettes were pleased by the scrambled eggs and French toast. My fruit bowl was fresh and sweet. Our server accommodated us very well as we came after breakfast serving time. They were gracious and still prepared this lovely meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was quiet as we we were the only ones there at the time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Shoutout to Gomez for their amazing service today!! Even on thanksgiving, they were smiling and super kind. Attentive service and quick to get out the separate courses for thanksgiving! Last year was a little slow but it looks like they made some changes. Food was delicious and I loved that we could still order a coffee and a cocktail off the regular menu. I got the turkey, while hubby got the fried chicken as our main courses. I was super full and they kindly got me boxes. I had the refreshing apple cider sorbet & hubby got apple pie. This is our go to thanksgiving spot now! Beautiful ambiance and setting as well. I love all the things you can look at while you're eating.

Had a great time having beers and apps here. There is a really good tap list. We had fried green tomatoes, wings and hummus. The hummus was the standout. Have to give a shout out to Gomez our waiter. He was phenomenal.

Founding farmers has a good brunch buffet option with a good variety of breakfast and non-breakfast options. Their French toast cubes are stand out with the banana foster! Make sure to set aside space on your plate for some! The spicy fried chicken is nice and crispy, I also recommend the sliced beef, and there is a good spread of "appetizers" including tuna wonton cups and (surprisingly) good guacamole. Make sure to save some room for dessert too because the key lime pie cubes and snickerdoodle cookies were really good!

Such BEAUTIFUL interior design!!! The ambiance is unmatched. It feels like home or camp. The server was wonderful. The ceviche isn't great to ceviche lovers, but it's tasty for beginner palate. The cornbread wasn't my type; it has a lot of corn kernels and it's moist more than I prefer for cornbread but it tastes good. The chicken dish here was BOMB! So delicious with the honey thyme sauce. The meat platter was apparently NOT FLAVORFUL so a big disappointment. Overall, love the concept of the restaurant and its fresh farm ingredients. In the Google plaza...inspirational. Free parking garage. Go, enjoy!

Ahi tuna bites, yummmm...

Came here for a late lunch today. The restaurant is spacious and beautiful, with an industrial-chic aesthetic. Margarita 2019 - though mostly ice, it was tart and refreshing. Coconut Old Fashioned - boozy but offered no complexity. Ahi Tuna bites - flavorful and delicious. Devilish eggs - I don't know who came up with this recipe but they should walk the plank. No. Absolutely not. The yolk portion seemed to consist of chopped up egg whites and mustard. Crab Cobb - now This was a tasty dish. My bartender, Aidan, couldn't have been better.

So all I wanted for Father's Day was a good, loaded, succulent dish of hot bread pudding. The best I've had is in the heart of DC, which I was not making the 100 minute drive for (I really would have but my kids wouldn't enjoy the car ride). All the places around us serve cold bread pudding. And for some reason, almost every restaurant in northern VA serves the same, or similar, white chocolate bread pudding. I wanted something big, buttery, and hot. Luckily, Founding Farmers offered something remotely different than what other restaurants did. Luckily, they have four seats at the bar my family could sit at (instead of waiting 90 mins). I enjoy Founding Farmers and their food is good. But I just wanted bread pudding. And theirs hit the spot. It was a decent portion too. Couldn't have used a scoop of ice cream a la mode? Of course but did I need it? No. Their croissant donuts were well balanced too. What shocked me the most was that my family and I were able to sit at the bar. The kids thought they were treated special and considered this experience as something as if they were eating at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. We won't eat here often (it's a 60 mins drive for us). But if we are in the area, and have the money, this would be a place we'd love to explore some more. But I encourage to call ahead to make reservations.

My favorite crab cakes!

Great lunch spot right off the metro! Shoutout to Celeste for amazing service. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait for a table during brunch hours.

I liked the place a lot. We had a brunch at 11:00 am, 4 people. The food was great, I got just a regular coffee and Apple Pie (goes with the scoop of ice cream). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also like their rustic vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place for a business lunch and dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

How are they with allergies? Is cross contamination an issue, or do they prepare properly so there's no issues for their customers?

I dined with someone who required a gluten free diet -- and our server was HIGHLY familiar with what on the menu was appropriate for her.

Do you offer a discount for military or veterans?

Hi Angela! Thank you for reaching out! We absolutely do offer a discount on Veteran's Day (for example, this year we offered 50% off all food). -Amy

What time do you switch from lunch service to dinner service? I know the menu is the same for the two, bus asking specifically in reference to the restaurant week menu (different prices).

Hi Alexa! We switch to the Restaurant Week Dinner Menu at 4pm. Thank you!

The space is unique and cozy, filled with romantic decor that makes it feel like home. The food and pastries are just as amazing as the atmosphere. I've also tried their pesto poulet sandwich (baguette, pesto chicken, tomato, green pepper, and mozzarella cheese) and it was super yum! The chocolate hazelnut pastry is a perfect companion for the coffee, and you can ask for your pastry to be warmed up, which is even better. The one blip was when we first entered, the young-ish man at the host desk looked at us with a "What are you doing here?" grimace. I was stunned since the hosts are usually very happy to see patrons come in. Beyond that, though, we had a lovely time. Our server was quite friendly and got hubs customized Cuban order just right. I had the killer tomato basil soup and tasty grilled cheese. I also got an order to go of the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It was yummy the next day for lunch. We hadn't been to NYAJ's in years. Side note: don't go here thinking you're about to get some traditional Filipino dishes. Come with an open mind and an empty tummy! You'll be pleasantly surprised. The space is spotless, easy on the eyes, and perfectly cozy - minimalist décor with just enough charm to make you want to stay awhile. There's plenty of seating for the whole fam (yes, even all your titos and titas). Only one kind gentleman was running the show during my visit, and let me tell you - he handled everything like a pro. Even with our big order, everything came out quickly and with a smile. Bonus points for the snacks, ready-to-eat treats, and vending machines to hold you over while you wait. But honestly, the food is worth every second. Now let's talk about some of the eats: * Ube waffle: light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet - the powdered sugar and ube syrup complemented the flavor instead of stealing the spotlight. The chicken tenders were well-seasoned and paired well with the waffle. Whole plate was aesthetically pleasing and delish! * Lumpia: absolute fire. My only regret? Not ordering a mountain of them. * Longanisa breakfast sandwich: solid and yummy, but I wouldn't write my lola about it. Egg cooked to perfection though! * Silog breakfast bowl: oh. my. GAWD. Flavor bomb! The garlic fried rice, tender pork, egg, and peppers all danced together like they were meant to be. I'd come back just for that bowl - and the lumpia, of course.
