We stopped in at Mo's on Friday night. It was not busy at all and we were seated immediately by the friendly staff. I ordered a frozen Margarita which looked beautiful but tasted horrible-they quickly replaced it with a drink of my choice-I had the Raspberry Spritzer and it was much better. We had cheese curds as an appetizer and they were really good-hot and crispy. For dinner, I tried the Triple Grilled cheese, which was cheese, avocado and bacon on sourdough-served with a bowl of tomato soup that they served with the cutest clover design that I hated to mess up! My husband had the Shepherd's Pie, which is a family favorite. Both our meals were excellent. The manager even stopped in to check on us. Came here to watch the Final Four Houston basketball game, (Go Coogs!) and it was a lively full house. It was a great vibe all around with plenty of seating options to accommodate guests. Lots of TVs for games. Our server was friendly and checked up on us often. They had a $1 wing deal going which had a minimum of 20 wings per order. We decided to split those 20 between 3 people. It came with 4 flavor choices and 4 dipping sauce cups. We went with the Blarney Buffalo Beast, Kilkenny Kicker, Mo-iyaki, and Garlic Parm. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but these wings blew it out of the water. Dare I say best wings I've had in a long time. They were juicy and saucy and all of the flavors were an absolute hit. I will for sure be back for these. We ended the meal with a shared cookie skillet. Huge portion, however a tad too sweet for my liking. Pregnant bartender is not a great touch. She is MISERABLE. Don't feel comfortable being served that way.

I have read the reviews and as always, you can't please everyone but we ate there last night and it was awesome! The manager came and spoke with us and was extremely nice and informative. We had a great first visit to Mo's as a party of 5 with children. The service was fast and very friendly. Food was good. Favorite app was the pretzel. Astros game on the TV screens. The manager hid a tiny leprechaun and engaged the kids in finding him in the restaurant. This made for a unique and memorable experience! We will definitely be back. read more

This was our very first experience at Mo's on 290. We actually planned to eat at Gringo's, but ended up here after finding out Gringo's had an hour wait. We were pleasantly surprised by how great the service, food, and ambience all was! And we all had kids with us, so initially, we wondered about that, too (as it is a pub), but it turned out, it was the PERFECT place for families/kids, as Joe (the Manager) was literally PERFECT at keeping the kiddos entertained! This was the first time I had seen a restaurant manager interact with the patrons' kids, let alone, play games with them! He would hide this little stuffed leprechaun in different spots around our area, and the kids would then try to find it. He managed to hide in some great spots, which kept all 5 of these kids entertained until the food came out! And bc they did end up finding it in the last (tricky) spot, he let them all share a dessert at the end of the meal. What service!! Also, seems like a great guy, overall. The food itself was very good. Shepherds pie, glazed salmon, Philly cheesesteak sandwich, fish &chips, and the Shaylalee Burger were all hits. Kids chicken tenders were very good (and really good fries). The coleslaw was the only thing was a bit lacking (still good though) - like it needed a hint of tang, but other than that, we were all very satisfied and full. The bill was reasonable, too! Service was great and the place was clean and had an upbeat vibe. Not too loud like a lot of other places. Large outdoor dining patio with play space for cornhole and giant jenga, and although it faces a parking lot, it is enclosed (making it safer for little ones). Such a great atmosphere to watch Texas A&M sports! our server was adorable and extremely attentive. you MUST order the pretzel when you come here, it comes out steaming hot with a side of buttery cheese dip and mustard as well, the perfect amount of salt on top as well. the burger is moist and delicious and a great portion to share since there is 2 Pattie's and plenty of fries, they will even split it for you! I didn't even have a Yelp account before I came here, but I had such a great experience that I had to create the account and leave a review! Everything from the fish and chips to the $1 dollar wing special they had going on and the great bar staff made my date night amazing. Brianna, the bartender really went out of her way to make my fiancé and I feel right at home. A very nice gentleman named John Bird came by and introduced as the new General Manager. I found another place to watch football games! Ever since living in Houston I've been on a quest to watch the games at different sports bars around the city. However, I happened to find this place on a random day during the week, and I loved it! They have both a spacious outdoor and indoor dining area, which makes it perfect for the bipolar weather that we, Houstonians experience. We had an amazing waitress (I wish I could remember her name), who checked in with us frequently and was extremely friendly. She offered great drinks and food suggestions, so I ended up ordering the Mo-garita and their salmon. I usually don't expect too much from a bar, but I was pleasantly surprised that their food was DELICIOUS. To this day I still don't regret my decision, and I look forward to visiting again in the future. We had the best waitress ever--Patrice--and two delicious sandwiches. I had the Rachel sandwich; definitely a top 5 favorite sandwich from anywhere ever. First and foremost, our server, Kathryn T, absolutely made this an incredible experience. I had eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Nothing special but what made it special was the extremely friendly and respectful Kathryn as she took care of us. We are the guests guest with the name butter that gave you a laugh. She was fun, engaging, helpful with choices, and incredibly respectful of her guests. What I mean by that is 2 people in my party bowed their heads in prayer prior to eating. She noticed this as she was approaching our table, stopped, and waited until they were finished. I don't participate in prayer but always wait for my friends to finish before I eat, as well as I don't do anything to disturb them at the time. It really stood out to me that she did this and made a HUGE impression on me that she stopped and waited to not interrupt as well. Besides the service being ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, the food was great, atmosphere was fun, and price was right. I will definitely be back in the future! I really don't understand how hard it is to not put a pickle on my plate. Every single time I come here, I order a French dip and emphasize that I don't want a pickle on my plate at all. It always comes with one & the juice is soaked into my bread & I have to waste half the bread. If it was once, I wouldn't write a review, it's literally every time though. I ordered a Sherpard's Pie to go and was highly disappointed. The Shepard's pie you get when ordering in the restaurant is not huge but it is enough for a decent meal. When I received my to go order the Shepard's Pie was put into a 12oz to go container. The container was 80% mashed potatoes and had around 3-4 pieces of meat. The Shepard's pie is $15 + tax. I essentially paid $17 for mashed potatoes and gravy. I will not be ordering takeout from here again. read more

I am discussed. We came up for the delicious wings. I cannot believe the shady fee that ensued with our food bill. Out with the family on Good Friday and we were charged $30.00 x 3 separate checks. Total of $90.00 for the Elvis impersonator singing. No one even mentioned when we were sat outside on the non- reserved side, that they are charging this fee, nor was it posted on any signage. This is shady and if you cannot afford to have live bands without sneaking hidden fees into checks then perhaps nix the live music or charge at the door so folks can make an informed decision on whether to accept this or not. Food is good with a variety of selections, the establishment is very nice with bands playing outdoors and fire pits. This location is always busy, so the service can be slow at times, but like I said they get a big crowd. I prefer this location over the Katy and Vintage park locations though. Lauren is the best bartender at Mo's! My wife and I come here every weekend to see her. She always has our beers ready within 30 seconds of us walking in the door and is always very enthusiastic and welcoming. The food here is always on point, especially the $1 wings.
