Perfect for watching Astros Game at the bar. Bartender was nice and gave recommendations for me with my drink. The regulars are fun and great people. We both got wraps and loved the sweet potato fries. Both wraps were perfect. We are going to be back to check out the Steak Night on Thursday with the 15oz Ribeye. Place is new and very nice inside. It's definitely a day time place. I went here Saturday night and they were preparing to close at 10pm. Wasnt too happy with service as they didn't know what they were serving and gave me a wrong price which ended in a big tab. This kind of burned me and will probably take me a while to get over before I come back. Other than that I can only say place was ok. Beer selection was kind of weak. We were here around 4pm for a bite to eat and a drink before going to the horse races. We were warmly greeted and Carrie, the bartender, was very attentive and made suggestions. They have an AMI jukebox, which is getting harder and harder to find. I asked for an amended sampler appetizer platter and they accomodated my weirdness. The mini corndogs, eggrolls, fried pickles, and mozzarella bites were good. The mozzarella bites had more cheese in them than any fried cheese thing I've encountered in a while. They have Yuengling, which is a bonus for us. We were staying at the Fairfield Inn very close, which made it very convenient. If we go to Sam Houston Park again, we would return. one note... Yelp showed it really close to our hotel at first, but on my phone and my mom's phone, when we clicked for directions, it took both of our phones to different locations much farther away... it really is very close, same side of the freeway as the hotel across the street, but you have to go do a U turn. read more

Second time here! Last time was on a Thursday and now a Saturday night. Both times we had great service! The bartenders were friendly and attentive. When we went on the patio we were served out there and were given menu recommendations which was nice! The Pool table is a little expensive it's like $1.50 to play but the outside patio is super comfortable and covered so it feels like you aren't even outside. The food we had both times was really good! This bar is a more nice than other sports bars around the tables, chairs, booths and granite counter top at the bar sets it apart from the others. read more

Terribly slow service. Messed up the food order. Food sat under heat lamp for 20 mins. Waiter didnt apologize or offer money back for food he forgot to serve. Waiter never brought my change and receipt back. Waiter could care less. Obviously not trained well, mis-managed. All of the above would explain why there was only five people there. Got to Brewskis at 830 Thursday night, with just 2 on my party. No open seats at the bar so we looked around for open table. There were 4 different tables empty, but all hadn't been bussed. I moved the empty glasses and bottle from one table and we sat down. Sat there for almost 10 minutes and no one came to check on us or even acknowledged us. Since a couple of seats opened at the bar we moved to them. Waited another 5 minutes while bartenders walked by twice and never said hi or even looked at us. We were at the end of bar, so the bartender had to go around us to get to tables. This was terrible service, or NON service so we left as they walked by us again. read more

They had Halloween specials $1.50 domestics pints and some well shots at that same price! Dropped in for a cold one after a long day. This spot is pretty new, so there were only a handful of folks there which was PERFECT considering the mood I was in. It's your typical sports bar set up; darts, pool, etc., but it's not grungy looking. Think your darker woods & dark reds. Since they're new, the place was pretty spotless; I hope they can keep it up because the place looks great! Oh before I forget, IDK where the heck they got those bar stools, but man they're so freakin comfy! Tall & well cushioned on the seat & back of chair, plus armrest. Haven't sat in a bar stool like that in a long time. Good prices & good draft selection. The guys working the bar were really cool & service was awesome! We thought we would stop by and have a couple beers before heading to the race track. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar and waited for 10min with out being acknowledged after 3 separate bartenders continuously walked by and worked on the register right in front of us and didn't ask if we needed any help. Walked over from our hotel Friday night. Husband and I thought we would have a couple of drinks and go to bed. Small, dark, neighborhood bar and we LOVED it! Stayed until 1:30 talking with various patrons and the bartenders. We even had the chance to see a jealous man try to confront those we were talking to, only to notice the rather large bald man with them, my husband. He begrudgingly put his rear end back in his chair and opted to stare them down instead. It was quite comical. A jukebox for music was our ambiance, which is great! My husband has a playlist of songs saved on the app, and he plays them at each...and every...chance he gets. ;) We snacked on tator tots, which were too salty for me, so I decided to stick with the vodka and limes for nourishment, besides, we weren't driving, simply walking next door to the hotel. Needless to say, the construction at our hotel the next morning was not pleasant. Can you say hammers and drills at 8 am..... Will be back! read more

The food is good/decent. We had the nacho's and club sandwich. Nothing to rave about, but also nothing to rant about. Okay meal. My main gripe was service, only 1 waitress at the time so considering how slow/empty it was, I expected our service to be a little better, prompt. We were here tonight as a pre-drink/meal for the Black Light Run. The decor is typical pub, reminded me of Cheers! The staff are truly friendly & attentive. The drinks came quickly & the food was a short wait considering we were 9 people. Good selection of beers on tap & bottle. I had the cajun chicken wrap & it was spicy & filling, it came with a side of potatoes (tots, waffle or regular fries). I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but I wouldn't be opposed to go if I was in the neighborhood. read more

Was disappointed in the chicken noodle soup.. but more importantly annoyed with the fact that we paid to play songs in the restaurant on their machine and they let 3 country songs play and turned the machine off to play rap music ... we paid for 20 credits which we should have been able to use. So they shouldn't have a machine to play music if they don't want to listen to what people pay for. Additionally, we were brought the check extremely earlier than we projected to leave because I assume the server was ready to stop taking care of us since she was behind the bar and not paying attention anyways. Dont waste your time or money. I feel sorry for the owner. They probably dont know that the staff here is def hurting their business. Service was okay ONLY because one of the two servers were nice and courteous, the other however looked bothered to even be there. The food was a joke. We had 3 burger and a veggie pizza. Got the burgers after a 10 or 15 min wait (no problem).. No flavor, bad lookin veggies on them and a big dense bun that was cold bc it just came out of the bag. The Curley fries were good but it's hard to mess that up when you just dump em into the fryer from the bag. Veggie pizza didnt come out for ANOTHER 15 plus min so we were all about done eating by this time. The pizza looks like a store bought flat bread that they threw some canned pizza sauce on, topped w some veggies. So most likely they forgot about the pizza until we complained.. all around bad experience.. one and done. Wont spend my money here again... read more

Bar stated it closed at 2am. We got there and didn't even get a greeting, all he said whoever it was is "we close at 12am" the time was 11pm. The whole time my party of 4 was there he was giving us attitude, he asked for our ID's and looked at them extra hard like trying to find an excuse to not serve us. We ordered our drinks and when he delivered them to us not a word from him, Mind you he only had two customers inside that had left 5 minutes after we got there, it seemed he was too busy to give customer service. My brother continued to ask for draft beer and all the guy did was chuckle at my brother as if he was stupid and he pointed to where all his draft beer was, and he said "there all there" as if we have 2020 vision to see the tiny letter 20 feet away. When more people came in he did the opposite from how he treated us, he was smiling, helpful, and lively. His attitude towards us was nasty and honestly I feel was quite racist. Bald guy working the night shift, I would change your attitude if you want to attract a younger client base, my experience was really sad, and in times of COVID and dying businesses you should be giving your best customer service. Darcie is one of the best bar tenders ever in the the place of bar and grill. Such a wonderful woman but when I was ready to order my food they closed the kitchen. The beef sliders were $9.99 and they basically took a hamburger patty and cut it into 3rds. Went to the beltway location on 01-14-18 along with a couple of family members. Walked in and we had a seat. Unfortunately we just sat there assuming we would get service. Nothing happened. So I went to the bar only to get ignored. Still no service!!! I know two people were working. Poor customer service!! Would never recommend this place to anyone. Not the way to be treated.
