    8oz CENTER CUT SIRLOIN

Came in on a Monday night for dinner. We were seated within a few minutes of walking in. The service was downright slow, the bartender was working most of the floor and the bar. She seemed nice but completely overworked. She appeared to be working 1/2 the restaurant. It took 20 minutes for a side salad. The food took 40+ minutes. There was white gravy on the mashed potatoes (this wasn't on the menu) and the food was extremely mediocre. They got one of the steak orders wrong & the Mac n cheese was nothing to brag about. Overall, not a good experience. 2 stars for food & experience. *They gained a star bc the manager was really nice & tried to rectify the situation but we won't be back.

Look at the difference of fries. Like wtf bro

First time i came here i was not that impressed. However! A good friend of mine took me here and ordered their mango habanero wings, absolutely phenomenal. Smoky and sweet with a Great kick to them as well!! I tried the seafood gumbo and man idk if it was a good or bad thing (probably good) that it came with 2 oysters that tasted like the ocean floor bro. Like idk. It was good but damn it was a strong taste. I also tried their burger , "with cheese mr squidward with cheese" . And it was pretty good! With their sweet potato fries. Alright texas mesquite not so fast, to be honest they gave me a small ass amount of sweet potato fries and gave my friend a mount everest of damn regular fries. Whats up with that? still good tho. Thank you for a fun and delicious time yall! It was good food! Just wanted more fries pal. Great service ( but the man who served us was clicking his pen very fast (impatiently) while i was looking at the menu after being asked what i wanted. -.- i laughed about it and it became a joke . lol other people might not like it tho! Heads up manager! PS- its not christmas anymore, change the decor, and that happy new year sign!!!! -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

I have been to Texas Mesquite about 4 times and I'm finally convinced that the great food I've always experienced is not a one off. Went today and got the fried shrimp with fries. It was fantastic. Shrimp cooked just right, fries great. The cocktail sauce was really good. Had just the right amount of spicey heat. The remoulad was yummy. Only negative was the fountain coke. Tasted a little stale. The price was reasonable too. Really great experience. Service was good too.

Excellent service and delicious food! Definitely recommend the bacon wrapped quail and the New York Strip. Chicken tortilla soup is tasty. The ambiance is good, not too loud.

Brisket. Looks more like roast beef. It was dry and flavorless
    Sasha S.

Wth! The food was terrible today. Second time here. First time was good. This time, just terrible. My sons hamburger and fries were both over cooked and topped with a burnt bun. The brisket, I honestly don't think it was brisket. I know they ran out two nights ago. Tonight I seriously think they tried passing dried out roast beef as brisket. This was NOT the same as the brisket I got the first time. This was so dry we didn't even eat it and sadly we ordered a pound and a half. Wasted our money here.

Since they shut down thier parking lot You had to park next door at the chruch. Which gladly charged $15. Now I only bought the first ticket because my girlfriend bought my second ticket. I did hear another patron say it cost her $70 and she ubered there so she didn't pay for the parking. I think we will not be returning to this establishment.

"Crispy Onion Rings + Classic Comfort Food" 02-06-26…read more This place came highly recommended by a coworker, and I must say, it was worth the risk of trying something new. My husband and I came for an early Friday evening dinner, and we were genuinely impressed. Customer service was good, not over the top, but definitely decent and pleasant. The atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. They played a nice mix of music (blues, soul, Tejano, light rock, country, and more) at a mid-volume on the overhead speakers. There were also mounted flat-screens, but they weren't turned on, which I actually didn't mind. One of the coolest perks is the self-serve ice cream station, and the ice cream is delicious. It has that old-fashioned, rich vanilla flavor, like the 1950s when food tasted much better. On top of that, although not self-serve, they also have a "Shakes & Malts and Warm Cookies" station, which is such a fun touch. The dining area is large with plenty of seating options, (booths and tables), and everything looked clean and tidy. They also have a self-serve beverage station that was clean and well-stocked. Now for the best part: the food! Just a heads-up, this place believes in large portion sizes, and I'm not mad at it! I ordered the Mississippi Catfish Platter, and it was loaded. It came with 4 large catfish pieces, Texas toast, onion rings, and two sides. I chose the creamy whipped potatoes and coleslaw. My husband ordered the Mississippi Catfish with fried shrimp and French fries, and his plate also came with Texas toast and onion rings. I tasted one of his shrimp and it was delectable! OMG! My only complaint is that the fish could have been fried a little crispier with a little crunch to it. It was just too soft for my liking. Food Ratings: Mississippi Catfish Platter -- 4/5: Delicious flavor, but it wasn't crispy/crunchy--more soft than I expected Shrimp & Catfish Platter -- 4/5 Mia's Queso Dip -- 3/5 Mashed Potatoes -- 5/5: Thick consistency but still creamy Onion Rings -- 5/5: Cooked to perfection--crispy and crunchy Coleslaw -- 3/5: Not my favorite. It had more of a vinaigrette vibe, and I prefer a mayo-based, tangy slaw French Fries -- 3/5: Served hot, but nothing special Overall, I highly recommend Mia's Table if you're looking for simple comfort food without all the fancy extras. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long work week or for those lazy nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

The bad: The chili was weird, like it had a weird metallic taste, that then turned into a lingering spice. The spicy factor wasn't the problem, it was the weird taste. The queso wasn't queso. Also, the breakfast I ordered was $14 and had dry French toast, way overcooked scrambled eggs, which became like egg nuggets and 2 skinny pieces of bacon, that I asked for crispy, but tasted burnt. The good: The Pulled Pork Sandwich was the star of the whole show. It has the Mac and cheese on top and we ended up ordering 2 to go. The drinks were so tasty and well made. Normal cocktail prices, but delicious every time. Our waiter/bartender was so nice and kind. Overall when food is concerned, would never go back. I'm not exaggerating...the average age in there had to be about 83. I guess the early bird special got all the senior citizens out there and asleep. On a Saturday night, the place was basically empty by 8:30pm. After eating there, I completely understand why. The French onion soup showed up looking promising, then immediately disappointed. Zero seasoning. No salt, no pepper, just... bland broth sadness. I ordered a T-bone steak, and I've genuinely seen bigger cuts at a grocery store. Not even a nice butcher, just your average supermarket. My steak was paper thin and butchered so poorly it looked like it went 12 rounds with Rocky Balboa. I paid an extra $5 for their "coffee seasoning," and I'm still trying to figure out if they forgot it or just waved it over the plate from across the kitchen. My wife ordered the surf and turf. $109 later, we got what might be the most overpriced plate I've ever seen: a tiny portion, two pieces of asparagus, and about a tablespoon of completely unseasoned mashed potatoes. The lobster tail? Cooked so long it should've come with a warning label. We left wondering how a steakhouse could miss this badly across the board. Save your money. Buy a steak from the grocery store. It'll be bigger, taste better, and you won't feel like you just funded a very slow, very bland experiment.

"My Homework Turned Into Date Night (with Myself)" 02-14-26…read more I came here on Valentine's Day to do a writing assignment my professor gave us, and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food all the same. When I walked in, the hostess offered to seat me in the private party area. I declined and told her, "I'm here for a writing assignment," and asked if I could sit somewhere with a clear view of the bar. She didn't hesitate. She told me to follow her and led me to a booth with a clean, perfect shot of the bar, front row without having to climb onto a stool. She handed me a menu and told me to enjoy my evening. The bar itself was shaped like an oblong oval ring with gold seats lined up like little lifeboats, almost like a ship's bridge. Above it, about ten flat screens hovered in an oval formation, suspended in the air. Upside-down margarita glasses and champagne flutes hung overhead like delicate chandeliers in an expensive mansion. The bar area was filled with couples and solo diners enjoying the screens, sipping margaritas and champagne, and crunching on complimentary chips and salsa. Customer service was fantastic. My server, Ale, was highly energetic, lively, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I felt very well taken care of during this dining experience, which was supposed to just be a writing assignment, but it turned into a rewarding little night out. The complimentary chips and salsa were also pretty good. The atmosphere was vibrating at a high-energy level. There was loud laughter and conversation all around, the sound of dishes clanging in the kitchen, servers moving back and forth, and bussers scanning the room for abandoned tables to clean. For my appetizer, I ordered the shrimp crab cake along with a Cucumber Melon Margarita on the rocks. Both were absolutely delicious. The crab cake was mouthwatering and delectable, and that margarita was refreshingly fruity and strong, so good I ordered a second one. For my entrée, I ordered the beef fajita plate for one with cilantro rice, charro beans, and corn tortillas. I also added a side of the La Viva Shrimp (bacon-wrapped). I don't eat pork often, so I peeled the bacon off, and even without it, the shrimp was exceptionally tantalizing, full of bold seafood flavor. My entire plate was the bee's knees. I can't even explain how good the food was.
