The place overall is a little on the smaller side but there is bar seating high top bar seating and a nice dining room. The look and decor are very nice. The service was terrific. My wife and I were really looking forward to dinner here on a Friday night. While some things were good, unfortunately the whole experience wasn't. The main positive is that we both thought the food was very good. Our entrees of Chicken Milanese and Pappardelle Mosaico were well prepared and delicious. The main problem here was that the noise level is so high, we could hardly hear each other. We've been to a lot of restaurants and even ones in NYC were not this loud. The restaurant is new and the staff inexperienced, but after serving our entrees, we never saw our server again. Someone else came over and asked about dessert. When we ordered dessert, they forgot about it and never served it. (The waitress asking for the dessert order had to ask 3 times because of the noise). Eventually, I just asked for the check. The look of this restaurant is beautiful. If there's a way to install sound dampening on the ceiling, it would be a great improvement. read more

Our third time dining here and, again, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Unlike so many other restaurants, the fagioli (white bean soup with ditalini pasta) was not overly salty. Deep, slow-cooked flavors balanced by freshness of basil and tomatoes. The seafood with rice was delicious and hugely portioned. My husband regretted eating every bite but he said he just couldn't stop! I had the Spanish style octopus with fingerling potatoes (appetizer that I ate as my entree) was very tasty with perfectly cooked potatoes that were crispy on the outside and creamy inside. Unfortunately, the octopus was a bit tough, but hardly inedible. This is a difficult protein to cook perfectly, so I wouldn't judge the restaurant by this one minor disappointment. read more

Very nice place - decorated beautifully with professional service. You can tell this restaurant is owned by someone who knows what they are doing. Large parking lot, & outdoor seating plus plenty of windows makes this restaurant feel airy & light. We sat in the bar & had great service. My martini was perfect & we enjoyed the complimentary bread. We shared the shrimp app which was delish but very small - I would not get this again due to price/serving size. We enjoyed a caesar salad split for us as well. My husband enjoyed the pork dish & I was eating light so I had an app - the sausage w/long hots which were very hot! Came here to this new place. Nice to have another option in the area. They've only been open about a month. They are off to a really good start. The first thing that impressed me was how nicely done the interior was. Obviously, a lot of thought and effort was put into the design. It is open, bright and warm. Whoever designed this knew what they were doing. It's manages to be bright and modern yet still maintains its warmth. Beautiful bar area and a separate dining room in the back. There has been a lot of improvements and investments made upgrading the entire mall. Menu was smallish but had some unique dishes. Nice array of appies, pastas and entrees.All reasonably priced. We had the shrimp ajjilo appetizer. We split a Ceasars salad. My wife had a sausage and broccoli rabe appie. I ordered a pork loin over broccoli Rabe. Nice size. 26 bucks. Not bad for a protein entrée nowadays. Very good. Another thing that's stood out to me is that you could tell this place is run by an experienced restaurateur. The staff was professional and well trained. The operation was run very smoothly. It was not staffed with college kids working a summer gig. A lot of staff circulating and checking on you. Bussing your table. I very much appreciate this level of professional service. It definitely enhances the whole experience for me. One ding I need to mention. Both my wife and I ordered multiple cocktails, dinner. Apps etc. I had ordered 2 club sodas during the course of the dinner. THEY CHARGED ME FOR BOTH CLUB SODAS!! I understand if we were just sitting there not ordering entrées or drinks and just ordering sodas. I am ok with charging me for each one. I'm ok if you want to charge for the first one. But if I'm dropping over $120 for dinner and drinks? Sorry .. this is a pet peeve of mine. No bueno. Overall this place is really good. We'll definitely be coming back. You should check it out too. I wanted to give them 5 stars but I really need to wait to see if they can maintain the really good start. Food was good. While the other reviews talk about the noise, we were the only ones here. We had a super early dinner to get to a high school football game on time. However, without reading the reviews before I went, I said during dinner, this place would be too loud if it was packed in here. There are 60 seats in the dining room (yes, I counted). When we left the bar had several people and there were people at the tables in there. It sounded like A LOT more people when we walked that way to leave. Food was good, we also had the calamari appetizer. The hot sauce option was hot, hotter than the fra diablo sauce on the entree. The bread was not warm, but the butter was soft. We had chicken Francese and shrimp fra diablo. We'd go back again but definitely at an off time. I can't hear out of one ear and I'm not sure I'd enjoy the place if it was busy. read more

I want to kick things off by saying welcome to the Neighborhood Mosaico Tavern! As soon as you walk in, the first thing that hits you is the brightness and sleek lines that flow throughout the place. The decor alone is enough to put you in a joyous mood--if you were having a bad day, you might just leave your worries at the door! And then there's the soft Soprano's music playing in the background. Okay, maybe it was just in my head, but it definitely added to the ambiance--who needs a soundtrack when you've got a vivid imagination, right? I started with the calamari as an appetizer, and let me tell you, it was so well-made that I briefly considered writing a love letter. For my main course, I decided to keep it simple and went with the spaghetti and meatballs. I can happily report that I was not disappointed! The spaghetti was cooked to perfection, with a sauce-to-pasta ratio that was nothing short of divine. It was like a match made in culinary heaven--first forkful bliss! Then I sampled the meatball on its own, and it didn't disappoint either. Generous portions that say, "Hey, we respect your appetite!" Had dinner here on a Saturday night; we didn't make a reservation but arrived at 6:45pm and were immediately seated. 1. Drinks - PHENOMENAL. I would go back just to sit at the bar for another martini. Drinks seem to be seasonal, so right now they're harvest-y themed. 2. Dessert - We had the world's largest piece of Tiramisu. My husband makes it from scratch with top ingredients, and this was as good (maybe better). 3. Appetizer - The octopus was very good (though local Stonewood Tavern's is better). 4. Dinner - My husband LOVED his pork chop. I was slightly disappointed with my shrimp piccata. Consisted of about 4 large, butterflied shrimp (with tails still on) and not a lot of flavor (no lemon, no capers, little garlic) 5. Prices - Very reasonable = 3 drinks, app, 2 dinners, 1 dessert = $140ish, plus tip. 6. Service - Slow to get started, but was good after our order went in. 7. Ambiance - It's loud and hard to hear someone sitting across from you (we were in the front room by the bar; maybe it's different in the back). As it emptied out, it was comparably better. Nicely decorated, though my chair was a little uncomfortable. Bathrooms are super clean. You can see the cooks doing their work behind the bar. Wanted to try this place food was good, but you didn't get big portions at all for the price. Service was awful. We came with another couple whose appetizer came out and she forgot to put ours in. They didn't compensate anything for that. Because of this issue, it took forever for the food to come out and it took forever for the server to bring our check. She was busy folding roll ups. We had to knock on the window for her to come and get the check. Also, they charged 10% fee for using a credit card which they shouldn't do due to the prices of the food. We're here for my husband's birthday and it's so close to home that we can walk home after a few drinks. The food was average, cocktails a bit weak and my daughter said that the lava cake from Trader Joe's was better. We would still go there because the service was good. However, the noise!!! They need a sound engineer to do some acoustic work. The noise level was ridiculously high, we felt that we had to yell at each other to be heard. Food quality is not spectacular, service is below average but not horrible. Staff apparently not well trained and versed with menu items. One positive is the price point- value for price is very good. Could be an above average restaurant with focus on quality and service.
