Nice cozy speak easy like bar and restaurant. They have a holiday menu which had several unique options. I got the pear drink, it was the perfect balance of sweet and spice. My husband got the espresso martini and my sister got what they have similar to a lemon drop martini. The food was also very good. My husband and my sister shared the chicken bites and thoroughly enjoyed it they said it was nice and soft on the inside with a perfect crispy layer on the outside. We also got the truffle fries for the table honestly it's a huge plate of fries. The service was great as well. The ambiance was nice with warm moody lighting.

Booked a reservation at 143 Social after dinner at Porto Leggero as it was less than 10 minutes away (driving). It was somewhat "easy" to find parking since it was pouring outside so that's a win, ha! 143 Social is located in Bareburger so as soon as you walk in, walk straight, make a right and head down the stairs. It's pretty tucked away. I absolutely loved the vibes at this speakeasy. Since I made a reservation on Resy (highly recommended), my bf and I were seated right away. Seating is intimate if it's just two of you. If you have a larger group, they'll sit you at a round table or booth. Let me rewind back to the vibes at this speakeasy! Of course I love the photo op when you first walk in. Then the live DJ (we visited on a Saturday night), the decor, the diversity... I just love it all. Speakeasys are typically snug so if your a group of 2, you'll be seated pretty close to the tables next to you. In JC, everyone minds their own business so just sit back and enjoy yourself! Yes, they serve light bites but we were there for the cocktails. My bf and I are newbies when it comes to the speakeasy scene so we ordered things we normally wouldn't go for just to try it out. My faves: number twenty-eight, twenty-nine and thirty. Basically the Low ABV section on the menu, haha! I would definitely visit again. Didn't have to leave NJ for a NYC type night out!

I truly enjoyed this establishment. I don't always go for spots in downtown Jersey City because parking can be difficult. However, this is right by the deck and it was only $8.00 to park after 6 pm. The ambiance when you walk gives speakeasy. The colors and decor are perfect. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Our waitress Amy was so nice. We were there for a while and had to relocate because the reservations were 90mins but her approach to telling us was so professional was amazing. She even offered us options in case we wanted to stay longer. We chose to move to the bar where we met Jaun and Dan. Some of the friendliest mixologists I've met. Although they were busy, they were engaging while managing to make drinks. We tried 3 food items 2 was great and 1 I would never recommend. The jerk lamb dumpling and the Wagyu sliders were a great bite. The crab and chorizo crochets shouldn't be served or on the menu at all. The drinks are also very yummy. They have drinks with alcohol, low alcohol, and no alcohol. If you are not a drinker you still get to enjoy nice drinks and not just soda. It is a little pricey, but, hey you only live once.

A friend of mine and I got together to get drinks at this hideway speakeasy vibe, cocktail bar. It is located inside the Better Days Eatery downstairs. When I walked in, it was dimly lit and super cute. I loved the vibe! We had a great bartender named Eliel, and he was great! We started with the vesper martini and the French 75. The Vesper was so good and my friend enjoyed her French 75. My friend ordered the Crab and Chorizo Croquettes and Truffle fries, which she enjoyed. Later, a DJ came, and he was good. We had a really good time at this spot!

I really liked the ambiance and the vibes of this speakeasy. My biggest issue was the drinks themselves. I love cocktails but these were definitely interesting when it comes to taste. 1 of my cocktails tasted like Sazon seasoning and the other like Vienna sausage water. As pretty as they are the featured drinks weren't my favorite and I ended up getting getting an old fashioned. The service was great still but the cocktail's are interesting to the taste buds.

143 Social exudes an intimate speakeasy vibe from the door! I loved the dim lights and decor in the space. My guest and I were seated at a table with a chair and couch. The table was small considering the space. So, our food came in courses which was totally fine. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail. It had enough punch and sweetness and I need in a cocktail. The dumplings just needed a touch of salt. The wagyu sliders and truffle fries were divine. They were so delicious that we ordered two of each! I highly recommend this spot for a nice date night outing! Loved it!

I might have already left a review for this fabulous venue. We had visited multiple times for specialty cocktails and gourmet appetizers. We loved it so much - the food, the service and the Art Deco lounge vibe - we held a private party here. Gabriel, the owner, was very accommodating and his staff provided 5-star service. The food was excellent as usual - Vietnamese Meatballs, Wagu Sliders, Coconut Shrimp, Crispy Sriracha Brussel Sprouts and Charcuterie/ Cheese board. The cocktails were superb. I highly recommend this hidden gem in the basement of Better Days brasserie (formerly Bareburger). You will not be disappointed!!

Tried this spot for the drinks. Definitely a great drink menu. Tried the 25 and 29. The 25 had such a subtle sweetness. The 29 had a nice fizzy sweetness. Both were delicious. Our favorite app was the beet hummus. Super creamy with crispy chickpeas added. For dessert, the white chocolate creme brulee was luscious.

What a find! So glad we checked this place out. The vibe is relaxed with an upbeat lively atmosphere. Decor is pretty and relaxing. The drinks were great and I highly recommend the lamb dumplings and octopus- yum!

What a great hidden little gem! Great drinks and bites. We'll defiantly come back. It's small place with big attitude.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Actually, I'm so glad we stumbled in because their cute and short food menu is PERFECTION for lovers of small bites -- crab dumplings, caviar deviled eggs, spicy tuna crispy rice, shrimp cocktail, oysters, sardines, etc... Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. Our waitress was fabulous and so friendly, great with timing and checking in!

I picked Chambers for my husband's birthday dinner primarily because of the exceptional wine…read moreprogram, but also because the food is supposed to be really good, too. It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. Can't really recommend Split Eights over other cocktail bars around.

My friend really enjoyed her drink as well. At $19 per cocktail, it's not the cheapest in the area, but also not the priciest either. Would absolutely recommend Split Eights to anyone looking for craft cocktails in the area.

He is the best mixologist in NYC. He danced with lemon slices cutting through pours of clear liquids from heights. He tossed and shook, and was precise and caring. A true artist. David made our night. The only reason I would ever walk back into this place is to sit at the bar and let David mesmerize me. FOOD: Broccoli rabe was fresh, but I needed a steak knife to cut through it. It was very al dente. Not cut properly, which is to cut crosses in the stems. Salad was fresh and crisp, high quality fennel and greens. Lovely. Agnoletti was divine. Home made. Focaccia very good with subtle flavors and just the right crust. Olive oil, good. The front of house staff was lovely, two ladies, and a friendly guy. Super lovely. Treated us like friends. Also the busboys were all gentlemen. I loved them. They brushed crumbs off the table with panache. The only complaint is the waiter was robotic, and issued rule after rule. No smile. EX: It was a freezing night. We wanted to order appetizer's first, and have a chance to look at the menu. He couldn't do that. "I need the whole order." Then one of us wanted to order the pre fixe dinner. "You can't do that. You both have to order it." He was very cold, a robot. To enjoy ourselves, we had to push through the horrible treatment. Too bad for the waiter, when I asked about the special pasta, he butchered the pronunciation, giving me a soft pitch to teach him Italian. I blasted him. C'est la vie.
