We stopped by Muldoon's on an early Saturday afternoon because we were looking for a place with outdoor seating (which they do have!), but it was much cooler (temperature-wise) to sit indoors. We received nice, friendly, and attentive service from the owner or manager who sat us right away. We received two menus the regular one and a weekly specials one. We ended up ordering an item from each : (specials) a buffalo chicken salad and from the regular menu a French onion soup and fish and chips as well as a Guinness. The French onion soup was tasty, the salad from the weekly specials was rely big! A huge portion we just needed to ask for dressing on the side. But the winner was the fish and chips dish crispy and nothing better than those thick-cut fries. The fish and chips come with tartar sauce and coleslaw on the side. Overall worth it if you are driving by the Route 46 west area. Really delicious food and good service. read more

I live local and Muldoons is our go to place. It has consistent great food. It's also a local bar where you can just stop by for some drinks. The employees have been there for years and our very attentive and friendly. The prices are very fair and portions are great. The ambiance is Irish pub! Plenty of parking.. definitely recommend Muldoons I didn't get it tonight but they have the best French Dip in the area read more

Typical bar food. The onion rings were really good. Cheese steak was okay and same for the burger. The app tasted like fried corned hash breaded into a ball- which is good. Entering the restaurant there was a smack in the face bleach smell, glad it's clean but damn. Bar crowd mostly locals that seem to like their own. Bar tender was nice and quick. read more

Food and service was excellent. The waitress was attentive! Our drinks were never empty and the food came out promptly with several check-ins. Atmosphere is casual with games on the televisions and people at the bar. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Only thing I thought was strange is that it was abnormally quiet! Could have used some music playing in the background. Food was hot and fresh. Steak cooked nicely and portions were generous. The food was wonderful! I had the Guinness beef pie and my mom had the fish and chips! Our server was amazing! My mom and I went in after going to urgent care because I hurt my ankle! Nice casual Irish bar with friendly people! We stopped in to watch football. We enjoyed bourbons & ordered wings which were very good & a thin crust pizza. Pizza was great - cooked the way I asked for it - crispy. Saw a guy get a chicken pot pie that looked real good. Everyone at the bar was so nice. Would definitely go back again! Eugenia, Eugenia, Eugenia!!! Alone gives this place a 5. Very professional, very friendly & kind. Awesome sense of humor & stays on top of you to make sure you have everything you need. We ordered two grilled chicken salads with bacon. Seasoned it with oil & vinegar & though it could've used some croutons, peppers or feta cheese to make it more hearty; it was really good & fresh. All of it. The waitress (Eugenia lol) made the experience a special one. Now, some of the customers weren't the friendliest, I was the only one with tanned skin in there & I felt the tension, being stared at by everyone at the bar section. To kill the awkwardness I said hello to everyone but nope, just kept staring. Now, I don't buy the hogwash of what the media tries to sell about America & how racist it is. That's rubbish. However, I know that there are still racist people IN ALL RACES. Here's just a sobering reminder that if we are racist (no matter the color of our skin) we will die one day & give an account for every idle word spoken & every evil deed done in this life. Our skin color will not save us from our sin in the day of judgement. Only repentance from our sins & placing our faith on what Christ did at the Cross alone will save us from the judgement to come. I was not sure what to expect when I walked in here. It looks like an old bar that could use some updating. But the food did not disappoint! This was honestly one of the best steaks I ever had! It was cooked perfectly medium. The sweet maple Demi glaze complemented the steak perfectly. The onion rings had a great crunch. The service was ok. They had one server for the entire dining room, but he did pretty well. This is definitely a little gem! read more

My previous review on 7/24/2023 continues to hold true. Both of Muldoons Restaurants , one in Ledgewood and the other in the Rockaway Mall have Excellent Food,Service and Ambiance. The Chef's continue to provide Excellent Choice's both on the menu and with their Specials Menu. The waiters and waitresses are excellent and the bartenders provide drinks with a smile and a knowledge in how to make those drinks. Doug the owner and his two sons maintain restaurants of the highest caliper. As I have said before Eat,Drink and be Merry in these fine New Jersey establishments. read more

The Guinness beef pie is not to be missed. My wife and I shared it along with the baked portabella from the appetizer menu. First time there. Great service from a native Englishman. Like a previous reviewer was shocked how good food was. Yes its a local's bar, beer and shot joint. I was concerned by overall look (rickety chairs),etc. But i ordered the Shrimp Ajillo and it was AWESOME. 6 pieces in this awesome sauce that came with 4 pieces of bread to dunk. My wife got the Chicken Franchaise and liked it very much. Two nice size pieces of chicken. I had the Chicken Romano sandwich without peppers and it was very very good. Bread was best part. Maybe a little less on the basil mayo dressing. Whoever the chef is there congrats. read more

The ONLY good thing about this place is the wings. The ranch that comes with it is terrible and it doesnt taste like ranch at all! Then i got a burger and i thought it would of came with lettuce, tomato or onion on the side but it comes with nothing. Who wants just cheese on a burger?! To top it off the burger was so dry and all it tastes like is burnt charcoal on a grill. I will not be revisiting this place again. Very dissapointed. read more

We had been to Muldoon's on Route 10 a number of times over the years, but not in awhile so decided to go. Our expectation was a decent drink menu and good pub food. Unfortunately, we found neither. Perhaps the server didn't provide one, but there was no mixed drinks. The menu itself had very little to choose from so we opted to just gets apps-not the end of the world. Nachos and Wings were selected. If you are going to offer wings, please don't precook and then throw back in the fryer. Dry, inedible food is the result. The Nachos would have been good if they were hot. The server never checked on us, so by the time we called over another server to reheat, the meal was pretty much a lost cause. The bar was packed, people were having fun, all good things, but please, pay a little more attention to the food. Very nice people, I hope this was maybe just an off night. read more

Came here due to another place having no power. Was worth it. The food arrived a bit long but it was worth it. Was never introduced to a new style of pizza. We were looking at it strangely and then took one bit and said, it was really good. Service was by an english guy which gave us great service. Will go back and try what else this place has.
