We had a nice time looking for pumpkins with our teenage daughters. It was a bit late in the pumpkin patch season to find great pumpkins but we still had a great time and found what we were looking for. It was an adventure. Also bought some of their different types of salsas to enjoy at home. read more

There are lots of farms in this area, so I guess I was expecting more and better local produce. What I found instead were Dole Pineapples and commercial brand jams and jellies. The prices were also a little horrendous for what it is. It's good in a pinch if you need an item or two and it's the closest place (although where it's close to exactly, I'm not sure). But then you're paying like $3 for a yellow onion. For Auburn-area it works, but compared to any of the larger Safeways or QFCs, not to mention Metropolitan Market, any co-op, or Whole Foods, it really lacks. I'd suggest that they should get some really cool stuff that would draw people there. ....Like amazing fudge or ice cream or truly fresh local fruit and veggies! read more

Pots of poesy's lining the porch are the first thing you see when you pull up to the farm stand. Park on the right and start on the left. Great selection of potatoes and yams. They even bag up fingerling white and red potatoes together in small plastic mesh bags for a quick grab-and-go-grill find. Tiny tomatoes sit next to beefsteak with yellow tomatoes on the vine nearby. They have HUGE loaves of fresh baked bread and bags of 6 or 12 rolls. There was a foccacia board that was the size of a full sheet cake! Moving through to the refrigerated / veggie section there were Beecher cheeses, large bundles of leaf lettuce, and even whole basil plants. Keep moving right... if you don't search everywhere you might miss the real treat... home canned dilly green beans! If you have never been in the Southeastern US you need to get a jar and try them... hot or cold... they are awesome! Artisanal pasta (dry), crackers, and sauces round out the back corner. A wheelchair may be able to make it int the side entrance, but it's a tight squeeze across the porch to get back to the potato section. The prices are slightly higher than the New Auburn Product Market, but between the two the selection rivals any other location in the area! read more

We had a great time. Got a little crazy in the corn maze. I think it would be nice if the post markets are much higher so it will help the kids a bit and enjoy it more. They made the targets really hard to find. read more

Great little spot. Most everything is 100% quality. There are sometimes a few "icky" items displayed, like rotting corn. But overall it's a fantastic place and everything is almost always perfect. The service is not terribly awesome but at a place like this you don't really need service. Just browse and pick! read more

As you turn off onto Green Valley Road you can feel your heart beat slow as you pass Green Valley Meats and round the corner to farm land. Mosby's is a rustic little farm stand on the side of the road that has a suprising assortment of fresh produce, a friendly staff and a good assortment of local veggies when in season. They also carry Smith Brothers Dairy, an assortment of cheese, crackers, fresh bread and some great pasta sauces and salad dressings. It's so cool to look accross the street and see where your veggies come from. My children like the honey sticks and the friendly little kittens. This was a great discovery for my family this Summer, we felt shopping here not only supported our local agriculture but provided a good value. We look forward to see what is in store for next year! read more

The wonderful organic Mosby's produce is tasty, and helps me come up with creative ways of cooking as I normally will use your basic store bought veggies and fruits. I very much like the unique rustic style and yummy treats all around the store. The staff is informative and knowledgable about health and local produce. They always seem to have a smile on there face and a laughter in the air. Mosby's farm is a great place to visit!!! Even though they say they are closed to build a new stand, I think they were shut down. More than half the time I went there the freezers were not working. Many, many fruit flies on the produce. And it had an overall "cruddy" feel as if unclean. And what would have been wrong with staying open while they built the new farmstand? This also leads me to think they were shutdown. The prices were thru the roof. I understand gourmet items but a quart size jar of honey for 48 dollars is insane. I got the number off the jar and called the honey person direct and they only wanted 14 dollars! I even joined the weekly vegetable thing they had and was rarely ever satisfied. You don't get to pick the vegetables you want, it's just random, and the other poster is wrong, all of the vegetables are NOT organic. Even after we cancelled they kept billing us for weeks afterward. The people who worked there, while friendly, did not mind sharing how they were unsatisfied working for the Mosbys, especially Mrs. Mosby without being prompted for this information, which made you feel awkward while listening. The girls would stand behind the register like a tag team comedy routine talking about what Mrs. mosby made them do or what they didn't like (as if the customer standing 3 feet away wouldn't hear them?) Generally, you got the impression they were intimidated by their employer. There were never the same people from year to year. Hopefully, the new stand will be better, if they even build it. read more

I love this place! They have the freshest most delicious fruit and veggies! I love their preserves, especially the pickles and jam. I have a hard time not buying everything I see. They have a fantastic selection of area wines that I've been having a great time getting to know. My recent purchase of a local chardonnay left me quite happy. The staff is always all smiles and friendly. I also love the local breads and look forward to their pumpkin patch. I love it and rely on it for my veggies, it doesn't get better than this. read more

I really really want to give 2.5 stars. Every time I go there I want to like it but there is always something or another that keeps this from happening. The first "meh"comes from mosby's farm truck drivers .I live near by, which means that I am driving by this place alot. The big trucks and actually most any vehicle that comes out of their farm truck lot ALWAY just pull out in front of me . There is never any traffic behind me but i am forced to slam my brakes on and wait for these slow moving trucks or tractors. Irritates me when they could just wait a half sec for me to just continue driving and then they can take their sweet time. Alot of the produce comes from Charlie's markets. I see the trucks there all the time. The produce grown by Mosby's is okay. I needed to buy a lot of beets (50) for a party.The loose beets were 49 cents a lb. I asked about getting 50 beets and the clerk ( a nice girl) checked on a 20 lb bag. They had them available, but they were 20 dollars. ( twice as much per pound)That didn't seem right to me so she checked and said that yes that was the price. I said wow that doesn't seem right-- could I just buy the 50 loose - she said no if you get near the 20 lbs I will have to charge you for the 20lbs, even if you get 18 pounds. This seems ridiculous!! So it's these sort of irritants that keep me from liking this place. The management seem unreasonable and the whole place comes off as a bit arrogant, or misleading or both. I will try again but am getting a little tired of being disappointed every time I stop in. Updated 6/1/17 Continued bad experiences with Mosby's trucks and tractors hogging the road. I understand this is a farming area, but you really should pull over when possible instead of having a line of 6 cars behind you. It is not neighborly, and comes off as arrogant. I followed two tractors down the road last Sunday and they had opportunity to pull over in a safe wide spot, but they instead drove down the middle of the road. A car went to pass, and they slid over to try to block them. Really? Do you think you own the road? Do you really think you are in "Mosbyville"? I will not support this business. read more

We showed up at Mosbys in autumn for pumpkins and fun at the corn maze. It delivered that and more. There were so many types of pumpkins to choose from.
