I'm so absolutely disappointed. This place gave me food poisoning. The rolls were disappointing, I was getting nauseous just smelling the food. The smell when I first walked in was atrocious. It smelled like they cleaned everything with sanitizer water that had been sitting and reused for multiple days. WTF - I work at a sushi restaurant and this is insane. The appearance was great but the taste was horrible. I ordered the Hokkaido scallop roll and it was insanely fishy. There also was initiation crab inside (really bad quality one) that wasn't even mentioned on the menu to be apart of this roll. Not to mention the size of the rolls are giant and couldn't be eaten with one bite. Might as well be a burrito. Their "moshi moshi" roll was fine but again giant and the server said it was wrapped with seaweed as well as soy paper but that was not true. The wagyu roll was OK- but for $30 I am so upset. Over $100 for two people for lunch. Our server didn't even ask us how the food was. She was nice but she clearly didn't know what was in the rolls or ensure we enjoyed it. The lychee sake cocktail was undrinkable, it was too sweet but also too strong. How do you mess up a happy hour drink?? I called them and let them know I got food poisoning and they asked me if I was "allergic to anything" which is silly because I mentioned the extreme fishiness and mentioned I work with fish, the answer is no. Shrimp wontons had a delicate meat to wrapper ratio, lovely sauce too, hamachi roll was light and refreshing, pork and shrimp baos were so fluffy with a flavorful filling. In the yellowtail, I found a three-centimeter-long fish bone that stung my mouth. The manager only apologized, but this is poor food handling. The pain is still there after 24 hours. We stumbled across Moshi Moshi traveling from California to Miami for a destination wedding! OMG! It is. Very deceiving from the outside and is soooooo cool inside. The food was Amazing! We had Miso soup, Rainbow Roll and King Salmon Mango Roll! With Eel sauce, Spicy Mayo &Siracha sauce on the side. Service is outstanding! I got the eggplant sweet miso which was delicious, but I felt it was very small, its only one flat cut from a medium eggplant. The Spicy creamy shrimp was amazing, big shrimp and the sauce was delicious. We got the japanese curry which I thought was like thai curry but is completely different (forgive my ignorance), the plate has a green salad with nothing, just the greens (spinach, cucumber, tomato and raddish), next to white rice, fried chicken and next to this the curry which to me tasted like chili, I would not order this again. The chicken karage (Japanese fried chicken) I ordered as an app - but a decent enough size with maybe another side for a meal on its own - had good flavor and made even spicier with the srichacha ketchup I asked for to substitute the default mayo it comes with. I hadn't been to this place in 7 years. I was surprised the layout has completely different. The inside is gone and is now a tent outdoor or fully outdoor. Staff is great and service is very fast. Happy hour prices are great! Food was ok. We got the dragon roll, lychee roll and sesame tuna. Everything was good but never fully up to expectations. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT I USED to be a fan of moshi moshi but after tonight NOPE. I ordered 2 orders of uni nigiri and the store MESSED up and gave me 2 orders of ikura (salmon eggs) again not MY fault. The manager Brian came up to me and told me they would NOT fix their mistake and still charge us for their mistake. I def would no longer recommend this place after this encounter :(. I dropped in here for happy hour after a wonderful time at the beach on vacation. It was about 10 minutes from our airbnb, and street parking was easy. We entered, and were warmly greeted. It was in the middle of the day, so it wasn't crowded. The sushi roll was an interesting one -- it had chicken, cream cheese, plantain, masago and passion fruit sauce on it. The cream cheese was my least favorite part, but otherwise it was unique and delicious! The tacos were good -- small on a crunchy shell and the salmon was mashed. Seaweed salad is never a miss for me, but sometimes it gets in between my teeth, ouch! I loved every drink that I had, and it was just a pleasant way to spend the afternoon!
