I work down the street from the restaurant. My coworker was raving about their lunch specials and I have to agree, they're a great value for the price. I especially like their salad and the orange ginger dressing. I decided to come down for dinner tonight. Place was busy but we got sat right away. The server brought our menu and walked away for a few mins while grabbing a high chair for my kid. We decided on a jb roll, moshi moshi rice, and a noodle dish. The jb roll was average. I didn't have the noodles. The moshi moshi rice was ok but plentiful. Why the 2 stars? Despite the ok food, the service was horrendous. After we placed our food order, the food came out pretty quickly, which i appreciate. I had a toddler with me. She eats what I eat, but a plastic spoon would've been nice. The waitress came by once. Worse off, i have been sitting here for abt 15 mins for her to come by with the check and nothing. A couple sat down next to us, ordered, ate, and their bill was dropped all before the waitress ever came back to me. My husband had to go with my toddler back to the car and I've been sitting here, writing this review, before she ever came back to check up on me. Needless to say, I'm not coming back. I am a regular to Moshi Moshi, and it just so happened to open up my my childhood neighborhood of the roads in a cute little spot right next to the Pilates studio on Coral Way. After doing a second U-turn since I passed by it initially, I found it. I was incredibly ill so all I ordered was the Ramen Miso Soup, which was delightful. The presentation was not the best, but the flavor was nothing less than perfect. The broth was a bit spicy which was greeeeat for my sinus and congestion, loved that extra touch. Nothing to complain , honestly Moshi Moshi continues to live up to its rapport with their clients, service, and quality of food. Will return to get my usual miso with Moshi Moshi or volcano roll (which to this day) no other sushi restaurant I've been to does a better Volcano roll , hands down. read more

I took a client to lunch on June 21st, 2022 at approximately 1pm. I wasn't impressed with their new prices and automated system. The portions have gotten smaller too. The worst part was the lady who said she's been a manager for eleven years, short, colored light hair and lots of jewelry. She said the location on 79th St. and Biscayne Blvd is adapting to the new system but then shocked us by saying it's not a good location because it's in a black neighborhood and then did what many Cubans do, rub the middle and index finger over the other hand, I'm Cuban American and I know what that means. She then came back and said that they cannot find employees because many of them are living off the government and again said that it is mostly black people doing this. I found this very unprofessional and insulting. I have black friends who are very successful and these two comments and her talking about politics was uncalled for. I told her I didn't like her racist comments and I didn't go their to have that manager talk to me about her political views and racism. She said she wasn't racist, I said her Comments were and I would appreciate it if she just stopped talking to me. She continued and I again asked her to leave us alone, we had finished our over priced and very little food served and left the restaurant. I've been going to Moshi Moshi since the 90's when I lived in SoBe. Now I live in The Roads near Brickell and used this location frequently, their prices and servings are ridiculous and they really need to train that woman on how to be a server if their going to get rid of their wait staff. Terrible! Do not recommend. Let's start with them asking you inside or outside and when you say outside you are still inside with horrific lighting. You barely sit down and they are asking what you want to drink. I haven't even looked at the menu... give me a second! The whole time we were there, they were always hovering over us. Ordered seaweed salad and it was frozen... literally! Their namesake sushi roll was flavorless. The shrimp tempura was alright. The tuna tataki was like none I have ever had. It was not seared properly. It looked horrible. Even though they try to hide what food looks like with the fluorescent purple lighting, it could not have been worse. As much as I wish I could give 5 stars I can't. Reason being is placing an order aside from walking in is near impossible. I called multiple times and stayed on hold for a total of up to 10 minutes. No one ever picked up. I also tried ordering online as their on hold message suggested for pick up but my only option was to order through Uber eats. I didn't want delivery though. I wanted to pick it up and avoid a 20 minute wait time. Instead during my multiple attempts to reach someone I instead ended up at the location having to order in person. I calmly addressed this to the manager who was polite and apologetic but had no good answer and did not make an effort to expedite my order. There aren't many late night options that offer the food they do. The food is great but unfortunately waiting for it with zero chance of ordering early to be proactive is an option. Hopefully they'll see this and make an effort to improve there phone, online and carry out procedures. read more
