Seriously though, Shelby deserves more than a raise! Shelby is Dr. Streufert's Physician Surgical Administrator". That is her official title copy pasted from her emails to me. What her title SHOULD BE is "MASTER ANGEL on STAFF"!! Yeah, the office visits are slow and yeah there are people there that have had bad days and when you get on the phone with them, they sometimes forget that you had nothing to do with it but that's EVERY office or EVERY place you deal with that involves something EXTREMELY important. There are A LOT of feelings going around these offices. To ask these people to be happy 24/7 is IMPOSSIBLE. You can't ask them to care that much and NOT have hard days. As in where one of the patients they deal with might pass away and you are mad about a mistaken $25 charge. They may be a little less attentive and will probably have a poor reaction to your bitching about $25. This FANTASTIC LADY though breaks the mold in ALL ASPECTS. My story is horrible. I lost EVERYTHING! I, for all intense and purpose, almost DIED. This ANGEL was not only there for me for everything involving FOI and was mind-blowingly awesome, but she went so far ABOVE AND BEYOND for me no matter if it was her position to do so or not. I went through almost 8 MONTHS of pain and hardship trying to relieve the pain in my back and legs. I will save everyone the full story 1 because it's so long and 2 it's just too much to type right now. Guess those are the same thong but I'm sure you get the point. The ENTIRE time, once Shelby became involved, she was there for me. She made my worst days of fighting with insurance, Leave and Absences, and all of their minions bright and productive. I couldn't have imagined how much "CRAP" I didn't know that needed to be done and I never knew because she was handling it ALL. I only know now because I asked someone else and I have about 25years of healthcare industry experience. As a provider but weirdly enough, more as a penitent or caregiver. What I am saying is, this is not a human I am talking about. Well, actually she is the epitome what a "Human" SHOULD BE. She is kind, caring, understanding, comforting, helpful, giving of her time, empathetic, generous with information, and does her absolute BEST to make sure that YOU are really OK. That you have everything you need. That you know every aspect of your situation. That you feel confident in yourself when you are in a place that you are most vulnerable. I do not have enough time, nor do I have the words to express how wonderful this person, Shelby, is. I am sure that her coworkers and supervisors will agree that she is the best at what she does, but they SHOULD KNOW that they have a DIAMOND in their midst.
