MosquitoNix are my heroes! Our mosquito problem was so bad that I would get bitten several times a day inside! Going outside was not an option unless I was dressed in long sleeves and pants covered in Deet which causes my heart to beat erratically...Because of health issues I am very reactive to mosquito bites I had to use several prescription medications that had unpleasant side effects to get short-term relief from the itching, and even then they itched for weeksand those effing bitches (only the females bite) would still find the 1 spot that that wasn't covered & bite the crap out of me! Miserable doesn't even begin to describe it. The main reason I chose MosquitoNix over their competitors was because they not only sprayed & buy also used granules that continue to repel Mosquitoes long after they've sprayed. My next-door neighbor dogs were being bitten so bad by the mosquitoes that they did not want to go outside to potty so we wanted for them come treat both yards on the same day. Used Groupon Deal. Worked great for about a week, but then mosquitoes started showing back up in force. Called back and was told Groupon treatment is only guaranteed for 72 hours and that I should have purchased recurring treatments. A) Nowhere does it say on the Groupon deal that it only lasts 72 hrs. Never would've purchased if it had. $12 bottle of Cutter lasts longer than that! B) They never offered additional treatments when I called for initial appointment or when the tech came out and certainly never explained how temporary this "solution" would be. I have had several companies treat my lawn over the past year and NONE of them were as effective as MosquitoNix. I live in an area that is pretty close (200 yards) from a large storm drainage ditch (that has slow water 90% of the time) and most of my neighbors don't treat their yards for mosquitos at all. When untreated, it's impossible to be in the back yard--without exaggerating, everyone in my family gets about a bite per minute. It's disgusting. So I started looking into mosquito treatment but, as you may imagine, most of the companies that I talked to gave me pretty confident answers that sounded like "our treatment is as good as it gets and it will decrease your problem by 85% or 90%. I got quotes from a number of them and actually went with a couple of them who had positive reviews and were cheap. Unfortunately, their treatments only worked for about a day. I wanted them to be great and effective but my kids were shredded on the second and third days after treatments. Finally, based on a recommendation from a coworker, I called MosquitoNix and, because their methods are different than the other companies I had tried, I had them give it a crack. Even though we live near water and our neighbors don't treat, our yard is COMPLETELY MOSQUITO FREE after a M-Nix treatment. We don't even use bug spray any more. They are not the cheapest company (but are nowhere near the most expensive). But they are pros and I like the way they do business. Sometimes it rains hard for a few days and the little beasts appear in force but, MosquitoNix will show up the same day and retreat. No extra charge. I am revising my previous review since the owner of the company tried repeatedly to contact me about my bad review. He said that my previous experience was not the 'norm' for their business and must have been a new employee with inaccurate information. David wanted to prove that his company is better than what I experienced at first, so they offered a 'complimentary' treatment, at my convenience. The tech (Jacent) showed up on the day that I requested, and seemed to do a pretty thorough job treating my property. Since I've had mosquito treatments before, I know that the treatment works, unless it pours rain immediately afterward. I would recommend Mosquito Nix. read more

I specifically told them my bees were my first & foremost concern. They assured me they would never use any products on my yard that were toxic to my bees. They stated they had products they use for bee keepers. They used Talstar on my yard today & LIED TO MY FACE stating it was safe for bees! Google it! It kills all bees! What a lie! According to him, they have changed their policy about how long they guarantee their yard spray. We got our yard sprayed today, and I am only updating my review based on the response of the manager and the thoroughness of the spray. Brandon treated our yard and called before arriving. He was very professional to work with. He was also incredibly thorough, and ventured into parts of our yard that I previously would not have dared to go. I am extremely impressed and can't wait to go outside and test it. I'm going to save the fifth star and will update my review once we see how long this lasts. SCAM !!!!! Bought a Groupon and the service worked great. Called back to sign up for recurring service and it never worked again !! Had them out on 3 seperate occasions to no avail and they are still trying to charge me because I didn't cancel service soon enough after being persuaded by their sales team to let them try "one more time!" Funny how that one more time put me past my cancellation time. To bad they don't have a negative star button to rate ! read more

**UPDATED after original post*** Great product. Shady business practice. My yard was bad. I couldn't go out for 2 minutes without getting several bites. We have chickens and water features with fish, so I was reluctant to spray. I finally gave in and called. The 'green' product was guaranteed to take care of the mosquitos without harming the chickens or fish. It worked so great I changed the frequency to every five weeks starting in mid summer. Still had no bites through the end of the season. Unfortunately I cannot continue to use Mosquitonix because I lost all trust in their business practices. They came out to treat the yard Oct 6. At 5 weeks frequency that should have been the last for the year as October is the last month in the annual cycle. They came out again on October 30, some 3 weeks later. Maybe that doesn't sound so bad, but let's call it what it was - a blatant attempt to squeeze in one last unnecessary and unauthorized payment. Maybe that is forgivable as a misunderstanding, except for how they mishandled the resolution. I called them the following Monday to question them on it. Someone answers, takes a message, and promises me a return call when she talks to the boss. No call. I call again the next week. No return call. 2 emails and at least 4 phone messages over the 30 days following the unauthorized charge are all ignored. One last message went in explaining my next actions - to have the credit card company reverse the charges, yelp reviews, report to BBB. Still no response. I know they are still there because someone always answers the phone. So here is my review. ***UPDATE*** David at MosquitoNix saw this review and straightened it out. He was apologetic and seemed sincere in his statement that the mix up was due to a clerical error rather than nefarious dealing. He immediately refunded the service call in question and credited my account for one free treatment in the spring. read more

A few weeks ago, I was in the process of planning a Graduation BBQ for my daughter, but I was extremely worried about the guests being "eaten alive" by the mosquitos. I searched online for different pest control companies. Last year, I used a pest control company and the mosquitos returned two days after the treatment. I decided that perhaps it would be much better to use a company that actually "specialized" in "mosquito control" and came upon the MosquitoNix website. Honestly, I anticipated a "hard sell" in an effort to get me to buy into the Custom Misting System. But, there was no hard sell. The system was thoroughly explained, but I already knew I was only willing to invest in treatment system. However, I must admit the misting system is quite impressive. To make a long story short, I was pleasantly surprised. First, no one complained of mosquitos at the BBQ. Second, after about two weeks, I noticed there were still no mosquitos. Then came the final test. Last week, I took my chance at having a glass of wine in the evening out on the deck and not a mosquito in sight. I am definitely pleased with the service, product, and professionalism offered by MosquitoNix. I'm finally able to enjoy my outdoor space without the worry of mosquitos and without the smell of insect repellent on my skin. read more
