Hands down the BEST brisket I have ever had. This place deserves much more than 5stars. The interior decoration was beautiful and unique, the food was beyond amazing, and their staff was amazing. It's hard to find good bbq in NJ, but this place transports you straight to feeling like you're on vacation in the south! The owner is extremely passionate about his work; he came to greet our table to share a small history of the establishment and when he saw how much we were enjoying the food, he brought out complimentary wings drizzled in their new alabaster sauce to try out. This was my first time I stopped by over the weekend and i'm so glad i did. you're greeted with incredibly nice staff who gave me great recommendations and then the owner came out who was just incredibly kind and an all around good guy. He offered me samples and genuinely wanted feedback and was clear he loved what he does and his business. But then the food. Is amazing! Wonderful kind people with amazing food, you can't go wrong. Hands down the best brisket i've tried in NJ. so tender and good! the sides are ALL good. I know because i got everything I could that wasn't fried since i had a 40 minute commute. The Cole slaw helped cut through the grease so always a plus. The brisket, which I was the most excited to try, was a bit dry. I've tried brisket from Texas and boy, was theirs tender and juicy. Loved the ribs and definitely would reorder them again. Also tried one of their featured sandwiches which was quite tasty and very crispy, just the way chicken should be. Let me tell you this is as close to Texas style BBQ as you'll get in the Central NJ area and it doesn't break the bank! Employees and the owner were great and kept checking in if we needed anything. When we couldnt finish our meals, they presented us with plenty of to-go boxes and bags. All the meats were cooked tender to perfection and the sides offered compliment the bbq really well. Some of my favorite sides were the baked beans, buttery mashed potatoes, and the pickled onions. You can get your brisket chopped or in strips but I prefer it chopped. Across the board impressed. There are a lot of BBQ places in the north east, but most of them aren't authentic, or just phone in the flavors. Not this place! The attention to detail was incredible. The dry rub was perfect, and as someone who prefers dry rub over sauce... I was even blown away by how good the sauce was, and how it complemented everything. The brisket just fell apart as soon as my fork got near it, and the fat was rendered perfectly. The owner, who was awesome, even insisted I try the ribs... and those were good too! For myself and someone else who was with me, we ordered the Whole Lotta Love - Cabernet Balsamic Onion Jam / Arugula / Remoulade / Brisket and the Fly Away - Smoked white meat chicken salad / cucumbers / lettuce / tomatoes / smoked chipotle aioli / ciabatta bread. Though the intent was to share them half-and-half we ended up liking our individual picks so much (the brisket for me) we only had tastes of the other choice. Overall, a great experience. I don't think there is any part of NJ known for its BBQ and though there are some gems here and there they are usually hard to find. This place seems to be one of them. The place feels brand new and the owner was working out some issues with his POS while we waited, so it seems like there are still some bugs to be sorted out. They give you alot of meat. (Dine in we had pulled pork and brisket sandwiches with a side of Mac and cheese and onion rings) The Mac and cheese was very thick and goopy. My brisket was delicious. The sandwich was loaded. My friend very much enjoyed the pulled pork. The to go orders I am told were good. The only issue I encountered was asking to pay for extra BBQ sauce. I was upset. We paid $120 for four meals which I think was a bit over the top to begin with. I declined but I motioned to speak with the manager and he was incredibly kind and said I absolutely should not pay for extra sauce, which I appreciated. Good southern BBQ place. Great for cole slaw, ribs, pulled pork, cornbread etc. fans. It also has enough room to dine in. There's a California Cold Brew a few doors away that I like to go in for dessert and hydration and to do some computer work afterward. Time waiting for meals was 5-10 minutes on average for me. I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but on two separate visits, I believe I had two sandwiches, respectfully. I also think they do a special of the week or month, so if you want something that keeps you visiting after you've had all of their standard fare, they provide that. read more

Food here is absolutely amazing! Been looking for a barbeque place and this definitely hit all the spots. We got 3 platters and an order of chili which was huge! The sides were also very generous. We added corn bread as well. The meat was so delicious and tender. The pickles and onions on the side were an amazing touch. Really balanced out the entire meal. Service was very quick and they bring your food right to the table. They gave us boxes to take home the left overs as well. Some of the best BBQ in the state! We had a smorgasbord of items upon our first visit. The rib Mac and cheese egg rolls and smoked brisket egg rolls were both 11/10 items. Ribs were amazing, brisket was good but not the best I've had. Pulled pork was very good, and the turkey was phenomenal. Mac and cheese was perfection, mashed potatoes were good, street corn was an awesome side, and the burnt ends baked beans were fantastic. Rob and team do an absolutely amazing job with their BBQ. But in addition to deliciously smoked and tender food, they are also super innovative in creating different dishes. My wife and I stopped hear to get food to go. The staff warmly greeted us and promptly took our order. We went with the pulled chicken sandwich and 1 meat platter - brisket (requested fatty) with 2 sides - mac & cheese and parmesean mashed potatoes. All of the food was outstanding. I am picky with my brisket as I often find it to be too well done but that was not the case here. it was tender and juicy and I could even cut it with a fork. My wife usually has leftovers but ate the entire sandwich which is a good sign. The sides were also delicious. This is the kind of place that has a really unique menu that I want to keep trying from.
