    Chopped Brisket Burnt Ends meal

Came in for lunch today with co-workers. I've been here a bunch of times over the last few years and didn't realize I had never reviewed it. The food is always amazing, and today was no exception. Just spectacular. Staff is over accommodating and friendly. Sides were excellent (Mac&Cheese and Bacon Potato Salad). Corn bread is delicious. We got a good size table for the six of us to spread out. It's only a 10 minute drive from work. Need to get over there more often. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Driving down route 18 looking for a spot to grab a quick lunch that is not fast food. Came across this gem of a place. Got two of their lunch specials to go to share back home. The people inside were very friendly and service was quick. The menu inside looks newer than what was on yelp so took a few minutes to decide what I wanted. The lunch specials are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. One entree, a drink, and one side ($11-$15) The brisket sandwich was so scrumptious with the end pieces having so much of the Smokey flavor and seasonings. The fries were fresh cut and the pickles were homemade! Both the pickles and tomato cucumber salad helped cut the heaviness of the wings and sandwich. Chicken Wing Review: I was a fan of the mix of buffalo and bbq sauce wings. The two flavors melded so well together and they were coated with sauce so well. The wings were jumbo with good meat to them and not fatty at all!

JSBBQ & Catering Co. is on the side, on Tices Lane tucked in with two ethnic restaurants! There's a Thai and Japanese restaurant on a non-descript small strip mall of just a couple of stores nestled together. The storefront doesn't stand out and you might miss it with giants like Verizon, Loews, Walmart and Kohl's nearby but the bright side is none of these has the food BBQ factor that JSBBQ does! The place looks clean and modern. I had a large house salad plus pulled pork! It was huge and pork had the porky flavor. Greens were slightly bitter and would have been better if it wasn't but that is nature! I asked for dressing on the side and my salad came with three little cups of dressing, that is how hefty it was! The mountain of salad kept growing and I didn't make a dent. I ended up brown bagging the leftovers and it lasted for three more servings! My friend had a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. It comes with a choice of one side. The pulled pork sandwich looked scrumptious. Potato salad needed a tad more flavor in the potatoes. Workers are helpful and even more eager to help when you provide them a tip! I would like to come back and try some more cue!

For the past five years, I had to pay my sister-in-law to bring me barbecue from Texas ..well today that ended. Jersey Shore BBQ is best barbecue around these parts (in my cowgirl voice) . As soon as I walked in, someone was coming out, greeting me by holding the door. It was a regular customer. I asked if the food was good because of the smile on his face and he said "It's excellent!! This must be your first time here." I knew right away that this was going to be some good food . And I was right. The ribs were so tender. The barbecue sauce was excellent. They had a variety of sauces to choose from , the cornbread was moist. The big beans were tasteful and the brisket was simply delicious. And the service was impeccable . The guys were very kind, very serving and generous! Thank you and I'll be back. (Schwarzenegger) lol

Let's start with saying that this unassuming spot in a little strip mall has dark windows and you can't really tell what magic goes on until you enter it's doors. The restaurant is rustic and bbq-esque, clean and plenty of help yourself items. The food is just superb. I personally loved their BBQ Ribs, they truly were packed with flavor and fell off the bone. The Beef Brisket was tender, savory and succulent. The Jumbo Chicken Wings were good as well but were outshined by the former. The Mac & Cheese was pretty good but could use some pepper. The Collard Greens were tasty and I was pleasantly surprised. Cornbread was delish! The staff was certainly a bonus with a cherry on top! Very friendly, accommodating and although busy with dinner time, very attentive -- cool, calm and collected. Looking forward to going back soon! Chef's kiss

Pulled Pork Sandwich w bacon potato salad

Dinner for three anxious to have some good barbecue. Place is tucked into a strip mall on a side street off Rte 18 and across from the Super Walmart. Easy to miss, even w a GPS. About 10 tables, really not set up for dining in, but the staff were helpful and the drinks from the soda machine and iced tea tanks were free. We had a couple of appetizers - nachos w pulled pork, good, lots of cheese, crispy nachos, and burnt rib ends, good but too much honey bbq glaze. Three entrees. All were good, meat was fresh and plentiful. Sides were good. Left w plenty of leftovers. Next time no apps, concentrate on pulled pork and maybe the ribs. Server gave us extra sauces.

Jersey Shore BBQ is a real hidden gem for delicious dining in East Brunswick. In our takeout order, we had nachos, the pulled chicken sandwich, 1/2 chicken, and tacos. The nachos had crispy chips topped with cheese, BBQ chicken, beans, with sour cream and jalapeños on the side. These nachos were so good and had plenty of chicken on top. The pulled chicken sandwich had soft buns with lots of flavorful chicken on the inside. Their fries were crispy, perfectly salted, and had a slightly unique flavor. Just like everything else, the 1/2 chicken was well done and covered in their delicious BBQ sauce. The sides of coleslaw, bacon potato salad, and cornbread were great. I don't usually enjoy potato salad, but theirs isn't too wet and deliciously soft. The cornbread was very soft and moist. While I didn't get to try the tacos, my family loved them. Plus, the portion sizes for everything were very generous. While I sent my father to pickup the order, he kept raving about how nice the employees here are. They were kind in apologizing for the long wait, though the food honestly came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, it's clear Jersey Shore BBQ values their customers and I can't wait to dine in with them in the future.

I have to give my props when they are due abc they are ABSOLUTELY DUE. I am absolutely in love with all types of bbq, from all over the world. But especially from from the American south / Midwest. New Jersey is not known for having good bbq , but if you look for it, you can certainly find spots that are worthy of that praise , this is one of them. The staff was very welcoming and the smell of the bbq going carried me inside The cornbread was buttery, fluffy and sweet. The portion size was good, the ribs and the sauces that came with them were great, the brisket had a good smokiness and tenderness to it. The sausage had a flavorful snap and kick and was equally as good . The other thing that we thought could be better was the Mac and cheese which were not a fan of. But overall I would definitely revisit this spot as my local bbq fix if I lived in the area.

A Slab of Texan Style SMOKED BBQ Babyback Ribs

A SMOKED BBQ DISCOVERY!! Traveling from the west coast to the east coast, my wife and I were in search of three delights: A Great Pizza pie White Castle Burgers Great SMOKED BBQ Ribs and Brisket We were checking everywhere between Newark, Elizabeth, Linden, Roselle and Rahway and hadn't found a true BBQ spot. Whilst visiting our parent in Robert Woods Hospital in New Brunswick, we decided to search for some good barbecue. A YELP Review led us to Jersey Shores BBQ. JSBBQ in an East Brunswick of Tices Rd on Route 18 East. Wednesday we decided to give it a shot. We ordered a Slab of Pork Baby back Ribs. Gotta say!!! We were NOT disappointed! These ribs were SMOKED, moist, succulent, red Ringed juicy. They were meaty hot and falling off the bone!! Brought smiles to our faces. We introduced to our Niece who says she doesn't eat meat on a bone. It didn't stop her. The next day we paired it with Mac n Cheese and she had two more! Friday, we decided to return and dine in for some Brisket. We chose the Chopped Brisket Sandwich meals: One with Collard Greens; the Second with Mac n Cheese. Ahhhhhh!!! Dee-lish!! The place is quaint. The place didn't have A/C. But with the big fan blowing it was fine. The Service is Texan style Hospitality. We chatted with David who gave us some history of the owner coming from Texas. (We lived in Houston for 3 years). He opened JSBBQ in 2017. I told him and Chris (I believe it was), Tell the owner, "You're doin it Right!!" This is the real deal! We will return for the Sliced Brisket just to see if this is a fluke.. So far we're BBQ Happy.

Is MSG in anything like baked beans or meats?

There could potentially be MSG in some of the products that they used to season the beans. To be able to answer this question you would need to call the restaurant and ask them to give you a list of ALL the ingredients they use in their beans

I walked in on a rainy Friday night shortly after 10pm and it was freezing cold on the inside. Shreya was working the register and was extremely present and nice to speak with. I asked for her recommendations and of course she suggested the burger. I took her up on that option and ordered a bacon cheeseburger. She said the fries were also a must. I was extremely hungry, so I also ordered the Chicken Club Burger, crispy instead of grilled. She asked me if there was anything else I needed and I jokingly said a side of heat. She checked with the other patrons inside to see if they were cold along with Jenn who was working and they concurred as well. Within minutes she was on the phone with the owner who quickly addressed the issue by cutting on the heat. A few moments and I could tell things were warming up. Now onto the food. Everything was hot. The burger was delicious, but nothing was too special. The fries were seasoned well and had a spicy sauce to go with them. The Fried Chicken club was AMAZING! By far the biggest chicken sandwich I had ever eaten. The chicken was juicy. I could taste the cheese and the bacon. The chicken was way bigger than the bun. I wish I had ordered two. Overall I had a fabulous time here. The seating area was clean. Customer service was excellent. They made sure I was taken care of. The food is good. If I'm in the area again id definitely stop by.

We've been coming for 9 or so years and it's extremely consistent in its excellence. Their red curry is so flavorful, their pad see ew is so satisfying and their macadamia nut chicken is wonderful. This restaurant is located in a pretty good spot on Ryders lane where it's easy to get to going north or south, being that left turns are allowed when coming from the south and from the north there's 2 entrances to turn in. Exiting is also not terrible since there's a traffic light to help you make the turns you need to get on the road. The decor is also pretty good. It's a upscale feeling interior. Plenty of parking spots outside. With this said I wondered why it was so dead inside. We had the roti canai which was tasty but too burnt on the outside. My carcinogenic pet peeve. The chicken curry it came with was tasty but too sweet. The pad thai with shrimp tasted pretty good but again it was too sweet. Do people actually want it this way? C'mon let's do better. I understand Thai food is a blend of flavors with one of them being sweet but this was too much. The drunken noodles were delicious but also (to a lesser degree than the pad thai) too sweet. On the bright side they were stir fried well, fresh tasting and the texture of the noodles was good. The service was friendly but forgot our soda order. They told me that next time I can request the sweetness level a little lower. I ordered the drunken noodles with a spicyness level of 2 on a scale of 3 and that was perfect. The stir fry was also fresh and the noodles delicious. The prices are ok. Around 17 a dish which I guess is normal post pandemic. 3.5% cc fee so cash is king to save a few bucks. I would only become a repeat customer if they don't burn or make my food too sweet next time as requested. This is really like a 3.5 star review rounded up because this area is enhanced with much needed diverse dining options.
