The good thing about this Motel 6 is it's off the 10 freeway and it's located in the middle of a lot of restaurants, eateries and north of the 10 fwy is downtown Claremont with even more restaurants and eateries. This location is clean and they have A LOT of rooms available. It's also close to the local Montclair mall and 10 minute from Ontario International airport. They have a huge pool that is also clean and the parking lot is very clean and newly paved. I would recommend staying here if you need a hotel that's on the border of LA and San Bernardino county. There's also lots of hiking within the area (the mountain just north of the hotel) so if you're into that and staying close to the freeway, this is the best bet. read more

I made a reservation through Hotels.com for this Motel 6 location and called ahead to verify the booking. During the initial call, I began providing my reservation details when the attendant interrupted me, said "hold on," and placed me on hold. After waiting, he returned to the line. I politely asked for his name before continuing, and he audibly sighed and hung up the call. I called back multiple times in an attempt to resolve the issue. Each time, I was either hung up on or told, "If there's nothing I can help you with, I'm going to hang up this call," followed immediately by the call being disconnected. At no point was I given the opportunity to fully explain or verify my reservation. After these attempts, I drove to the property. The front door was locked and there was no attendant at the desk. I contacted Hotels.com for assistance instead of continuing to call the property. They attempted to reach the hotel directly and later informed me that staff claimed I had not provided the necessary information to check in, which was inaccurate as I was never given the opportunity to do so. While waiting outside, a staff member eventually opened the door and approached me in a confrontational manner, stating, "Are you the one lying to Hotels.com about me?" I responded by attempting to clarify the situation and asked again for accountability regarding the repeated hang-ups and refusal to assist. At that point, the situation escalated and the staff member raised his voice, stating, "At this point I'm refusing service, leave the premises, I'm calling the police." I became frustrated due to the repeated dismissals and lack of assistance, but I left the property without further incident. The only reason I was able to obtain the employee's name ("Franco") was through Hotels.com acting as a mediator. Overall, the experience involved repeated hang-ups, conflicting information, and an unprofessional escalation when I was simply attempting to verify a reservation. NO deposit is required at check in but a physical credit card or debit card is required on file! The front desk is professional and courteous and check in was quick and easy! Amenities here include: ATM machine, vending machines, travel guides, luggage carts, ice machine, guest laundry, swimming pool and an outdoor picnic area. Stayed here with my husband and son for 2 nights. The front desk lady was awesome, the room was clean and the ac/heater worked great. The tv didn't have that many channels but the pool and the kids pool made up for it. The beds were comfy the only thing I can complain about is the pillows. Yikes. Everything about this place was terrible. Where to even begin? Perhaps we should start with the check-in... We arrived at 2pm. One person was being helped by the one staff member at the desk. After the other guest's issue was resolved, the staff member looked at us, asked us to wait, then just walked away, leaving us there. Another person came by a few minutes later and asked us to continue to wait for a "shift change". We then stood at the desk and listened as employees, clearly audible just around the corner, ate lunch and discussed a fistfight, dropping repeated F-bombs, while pretending we didn't exist. After 15 minutes of just standing around, we were finally allowed to check in. Once we had keys, we were confronted with a pretty decrepit property. The pool was locked up (with caution tape!? see photo), and in the room, the fire alarm was broken, and there were hairs all over the sink, the towels, etc. To top it all off, we were underneath a LOUD, all-night party. At midnight, we called the front desk to complain. They said they'd address it. At 2:30am, we stumbled to the front desk to complain again. They again said they'd address it. At 3am, it still sounded like we were sleeping under a bowling alley. In sum: bad check-in, bad facilities, bad cleanliness, bad staff response. They close the pool at 7 pm in the middle of summer. We were told by the office that the pool closed at 7:30- already ridiculously early compared with other hotels that pretty universally close at 10 pm, but the next time we intentionally scheduled our day to go swimming at 7 pm, and the gates were already locked! My son and I have been homeless for over two years, moving from motel to motel. So, when we checked into this motel, we hoped it would be welcoming. However, the person at the counter was rude when I showed him a picture of blood on the toilet seat and feces on the wall. I checked into the hotel in the daylight and the hotel seemed dirty and sketchy. When we got into the room, it smelled like very strong chemical deodorizer. Almost choking. We aired it out and went to dinner. Came back at night and saw two nearly naked prostitutes walking near our room, and a room that looked like they lived there. There were parties in cars that spilled into rooms of dangerous looking people. We left. the line was too long to check out in the lobby, and it felt unsafe waiting, and the phone went unanswered when I tried to call to check out. I have stayed at many Motel 6's and 95% of them have been clean and good values. One other time it was dirty, but not dangerous. I had an emergency and had to stay here. The photos looked like the rooms were updated so I hoped for the best. Upon check-in, the woman placed me way in the back...I asked for something closer to the front and she said "you want to be safe, huh?" Shady people all around. Very uncomfortable being a single woman with a child and a car full of our belongings. I was definitely being watched. I wasn't expecting a 5 star experience.. or 4 or 3... but I was in the room for only an hour and 3 *HUGE* ROACHES were running from every corner. It was crazy! It was like they were just released from being trapped in a box and were going wild. Pest control should be a priority for all properties, no matter the rating!!! A ROACH WAS ACTUALLY IN THE BED crawling near my baby!! (she was on top of our own blanket.. Didn't want her touching Motel 6 bedding). I called the front desk and they apologized and said I needed to talk to the manager... in the morning! They expected me to hang out with the roaches all night I guess. I said "NO" i want to leave now! Why would I want to sleep here knowing roaches were in the room let alone ON THE BED? So they sent the lady who checked me in to come "check the situation." One night I was searching around for a motel to stay at last minute that was pet friendly and found this location on Google. I called and was instantly greeted over the phone by a very kind voice. I explained to the gentleman my situation and how I was seeking a room to book for 1-2 weeks. I knew it was still Summer time and people were still vacationing but was hoping they had a room to spare. Without hesitation after he listened to my concerns he said "don't worry I have the perfect room for you in a quiet non smoking location of the property". Long story short my 21 max days residing at this location was pleasant and comfortable. The room was very clean! Towels and lines were also clean. The only fault I would say is that this location needs to get rid of all their comforter covers. They are very old, stained, have cigarette burn holes all over them and are just plain icky. I would like to mention one more thing. I had an INCREDIBLY loud guest above me one night, let's just say his noise level just kept getting louder and more disturbing to the point it went on until 3am when I finally had enough from my sleep being disturbed that I called the front desk. I explained to the gentleman working the night shift (Franko) what I was hearing and how it had been going on for hours and I couldn't sleep. He quickly reassured me the problem would be taken care of right away! The situation was quickly dealt with and the man was told to leave and I was able to finally go to sleep. If you decide to make the choice to stay here ask for Franko! I asked the owners to be honest with their customers and stop advertising that they provide internet when that is not the case. She became irate and said I was the problem and I would never be allowed to stay here again. Lol. I have stayed in hotels across the country and internationally without incident. These people are crazy. FYI, room 117 is used as an ADA compliant room when it is clearly not. There are no grab bars near the toilet. No handheld shower head. There are brown crumbs all over the floor, white paint speckled on the floor, dust all along the heater /AC unit and I wouldn't be surprised to see roaches. I do not recommend this location. I recommend the Chino location, which is clean, has functioning internet and has employees that are respectful and kind. It is also cheaper. We've stayed here a few times in the last month and each stay had been fairly pleasant. Unfortunately a few things went wrong which is why they get 3 stars instead of 4 or 5. Our first few stays we kept booking the room for one adult because we had long stays, 4 nights, 1 week, 3 nights, etc. it adds up in a difference. Usually its 60$ a night plus tax for a double queen room with 1 adult. Ya we are two adults but its a two bed room anyway right???. If on the website you change it to 2 adults it goes up 16 dollars a night. For what???? Nothing changes in the room, nothing changes in the maid service. All it is, is standard pure greed for nothing. We stayed with our 1 adult price with nobody questioning us or causing problems at all. But the last stay we had we made a booking and finished it and had another one set up for 7 days. Keep in mind we've already spent like 1700$ here in a month and a half. Now we were about to pay another 472$ for 7 nights more. Unfortunately on the morning of our checkout(the day of when we would re check in for another 7 nights) we were sleepy because we had been up late. So we were both sleeping super peacefully and at around 11:30 this rude mexican guy comes pounding in the door. And says something like " You need to pay!, If you dont get out now we gunna call the cops!!" Nobody called our room and said anything like "hey guys its past 11 are you gunna be leaving soon or staying again today?" Nope. Just a rude bastard at our door. So we call up and ask for some time to get ready. And then we also complain about the rude idiot at the door. So my mother goes down to the office to hand these guys almost another 500$ for a week and they demand we pay 650 because were two adults. And the rude mexican guy is in there complaining about how horrible we were and lied to our face and his manager about what he said. So we said hell no, not after all of what we spent! Keep in mind this isn't corporate. This is fully privately owned. They also had a ton! Of empty rooms during all our stays, almost 2,200$ into the owners wallet is better than nothing right!!!????. Apparently someone has no business sense! And they never do anything about the dog poo!. They've got tons of customers with dogs and one lady had 8 little rat chiwuahas, and never picked up one dog turd. They even have bags provided!! I picked up my dogs! Your so money hungry add a 40$ maintenance fee to anyone not picking it up!!! Bleh!! The rooms are nice. 154-168 in my opinion would be the best two queen downstairs non smoking rooms available. A Motel 6 with a tennis club that's free to guests? Believe it! This was formerly the Claremont Hotel but has recently made the transition to Motel 6. The place is spiffed up (though it's still a Motel 6, i.e. basic accommodations) and there was free coffee and a fridge and microwave in the room just like a more expensive place. Brown smears on multiple walls in both the restroom and the main room. The mattresses were thin, terribly uncomfortable and appeared to have been bought back when music was still bought on cassette tapes. I could hear every sound in every room around the room. To be clear, I could hear the exact topics of conversation covered and how many strokes it took to finish. I was in need of a room for a quick overnight stay in the area and saw this place on Google with great reviews.... but when i arrived I found it to be the filthiest place I've ever seen rented. Ya got me fellow contributors who claimed this place was "...Well maintained and cleaned...," and another that falsely claimed, "...how clean and spacious motel 6 was. You really can't hear neighbor's in the next room. The bed was comfy & clean." Y'all... There are plenty of others places nearby in much better condition for a comparable price point. If you want towels or anything else after house keeping leaves you have to go get it at the front desk. They dont bring anything to you. The man checking me in was nice but his friend or work colleague starred at me with a blank stare which I can only describe as a woman as, he saw me as a snack. He didn't look away, smile, or say hello. No some random guy at the front desk just dogged me like meat on a bone as I checked in. The room looked nice at first, then I saw black mold in part of the caulking and a pubic hair in the bathtub... I know it was only $80 for the night but I would expect hair to be gone? This place use to have charm combined with some authenticity, now it's at least $30 more per night since the change over. The manager Steven was completely rude and unsympathetic or helpful he actually blamed me and stated it was my fault, when I called to discuss with him the fact that I contacted Scabbies after staying at the facility. It is a horrible beyond painful itchy thing that you get you get from bedding and or towels by someone who stayed there and was infected and the linen had not been properly cleaned. When I called him to discuss and bring to his attention of this issue, in which I several doctors notes explaining how and where I would of contacted this. He was the most rude and mean person. I have ever spoke to and myself or anyone else I know will never stay at a Motel 6 Chain again. Due to his attitude and action. At check in clerks were not rude but were totally indifferent. I walk with a cane and I am handicapped. As requested and was stated in the reservations I handed the clerk, I again requested a handicap access room (1st. floor) but they gave me a second-floor room. I had to return to the desk and get another room, without them offering any apology. Once in the room the first thing was that it reeked of cigarette smoke. There was No clock, No coffee maker/ coffee, (I was never informed or offered at the desk) One tiny soap. 1 wash cloth. The a/c blew full hot or full cold only, outlets didn't work, there was a big green streak on 1/2 of the TV screen, UV light I always take when renting a room indicated urine running down the sides of the toilet all around and same on wall and tub (Splash and runs) something on the toilet base very dark in color* Pubic hairs on floor and rim of tub. I told the cleaning lady and in poor english she said "room already clean" and pushed her cart away down the way.*. Floors so dirty My white socks were filthy black within ten minutes*. The laundry and housekeeping was next door so I informed the man and he turned and walked away without acknowledging me but I clearly hear the word "Puta" as he walked away. Microwave was all burned up I called the desk and told them about the micro wave as soon as I opened it for the first time. The clerks reply was well why didn't you call about it when you checked in. He was rude and I requested someone come to see the micro wave and no one ever came. I called back they refused to come to the room. First off, price gouging during a pandemic even for essential front line workers such as nurses.. secondly upon driving around ti the back where my room was located, parking lot filled with cop presence from domestic disturbances. There were no screens or anything protective over the window...fifth, my travel companion was jumped...with no assistance from the front desk. Felt like they were probably in on it.
