There is bedbugs, holes everywhere, staff is rude, kicked me and my kids out because my baby cried onetime. Don't come here

I wish I could give this place less than a star. Mrs. Kumar is the rudest general manager I have ever dealt with. I stay at Motel 6's frequently. Upon check-in, Kumar seemed rude and put out to help me. We exchanged the necessary info for a hotel room. Accordingly, she asked how many people would be staying. I said, "It's just me." Then went on my way. I had a friend from town with me. He helped me unload the car and carry my bags to my room. As we are opening the door, the phone rings. It's Mrs. Kumar. I say "Hello." She replies, "Why did you lie to me?" I asked her what she was talking about, to which she replied "Who is that other with you?" I told her he was a friend from town and was helping me unload. She continued to call me a liar. Then her husband came into the picture. He continued to offer me a refund. I got my refund needless to say. However, in the process, Mrs. Kumar also up-charged a couple for their small dog, which Motel 6 online booking said was no charge. I would have ended my use of Motel 6 entirely, but luckily the manager over this area's locations assured me that the appropriate actions would be taken against Mrs. Kumar and gave me a gift certificate for another stay at my discretion. Whatever you do... DO NOT STAY HERE. There is a Super 8 less than a mile away. They are great people and even laughed when I told them the story and said "You aren't the first guest that has come over from THAT Motel 6." read more

A few of the complaints here seem to be because people don't know what to expect at a Motel 6. Having been to 6 different ones in the last month, coffee served in the office vs your room is standard. None of them offered a in room coffee pot, except the Extended Stay/Studio. I was at this location for 5 nights with 2 dogs. My room was in the back. I figured it was bc I had 2 pets and would be closer to restroom facilities for them. There was only a strip of bark against a fence way across a parking lot. Motel 6 almost never charges me for pets, and has wood floors (which with traveling pets - I love! Accident cleanup will be easy and won't cost me a dime. Hasn't happened yet... but I am sure it will). After night 1, the Maid came in and grabbed our towels and wash clothes. They were not replaced. After night 2 I had a migraine and stayed in the room until 1p. The maid stopped by and knocked around 10a but left bc of my dogs barking. She never came back after I left. After night 3 we slept in (Saturday!) then had Jack in the Box before leaving for the day. We left with the dogs at 10a and the maid hadn't knocked. She was standing outside the room next to us when we left with the dogs. She didn't visit at all that day. After night 4 she visited. As far as I can tell the ONLY thing she did was take our dirty towels and throw our beds together. The sheets were still dirty. The floor was covered in hair and loose dirt (common in our dogs after hiking - but easy to clean with a vacuum). We got no new wash clothes or towels. I realized this night that the hotel window had clearly been broken into. We got back late (10p) this night and I took my dogs to pee before heading in. I was approached by a motel resident (clearly lived there) who had the gall to ask me if I was taking my dogs in soon bc he wanted to bring his dog out to play ball and my dogs looked aggressive (a German Shepherd and a Collie/pit mix baby). Seriously!? I've been gone ALL day, and have been back 30 seconds and you (a male) want to walk up to a female traveling alone at night to tell her to go inside!? I ignored him. I was tired, and went inside to take the dogs in. People like him make me happy I travel armed - I have PTSD and do NOT like strangers. I especially don't like being told what to do. By the time we left after 5 nights our beds had been made twice - and by made, I mean sheets sloppily pulled up. It looked like my 10 yr old did it. Our sheets were NEVER changed (i dropped mac n cheese on mine trying to had some to my dog). There was no door tag to notify the maid not to come (and notify her when we had left). We only had the 4 towels in the room (I had my 10 yr old visiting) and none were ever replaced. The shower had a leak. The doors had cracks all around and the pet area was full of dog shit. Somebody there let their dog crap on the asphalt every morning and didn't pick it up - there was a maintenance worker who shoveled that each morning. I prefer the cheap wood floors of Motel 6 on my travels, but I will never stay at this one again. I normally tip $4/night per soul in the room when I leave - which would have been $20 on this visit... I didn't tip anything. There was ZERO service from the maid. read more

We stopped at this Motel 6 on our way from British Columbia to the San Juan Islands as we just needed a place where to sleep before getting to Anacortes to get the ferry. Fernadale was the right spot for us and we decided to go for the closest and cheapest motel near the interstate. Even though we went for cheap, over 100$ for a basic motel room is not cheap at all especially for the value you get for it. The room was big, but lacked any kind of furniture. It was not exactly clean and a little bit smelly. Furthermore the door chain was broken and clearley the result of a forced brake-in (I ignore the reason, but still this didn't make the room secure at all). With the door in general in bad shape (see pictures below) a lot of light, air and noise was coming in through the night. Our sleep has also been disturbed throughout the night but very noisy people upstairs, as the motel is not sound proof at all. Since we had arrived quite late and just had to spend a few hours in the room, we didn't have the time nor the will to complain and see if there was another room. Still this motel feels worth no more than 50$ per night and is in need of some serious maintenance, at least in the room we've been in. On a positive note, the guy at the reception was really kind and friendly. Definitely NOT suggested. read more

NO WIFI! had to ask at desk for towels, soap, cups... terrible TV service - 9 channels, 7 of which were shopping programs. half of the motel seems abandoned. read more

Low class! Not even complementary coffee in room. Other hotels soaps. I booked online and they apparently lost our reservations and charged us over a hundred dollars a night. No clean towels in 3 days. And most the staff glare at u as u walk by. Just sad when I coulda stayed at a motel with breakfast and a pool for less!!! So negative stars here! And last but not least, building is INFESTED with BEE'S!!!! read more

Wish I could give this place less than one star. I was there with my girlfriend a few weeks ago. She woke up with little bites all over her skin. When we got home, the doctor told her they were probably bed bugs or some kind of flea/mites. When I called the owner they said there was no such problem there. However, I guarantee the bed bugs or whatever they were are from the cat that the owners have running around the property. Luckily the Motel 6 corporate office has taken care of it and assured they would open an investigation into the manager/owner's operation. read more

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Says 24 hour front desk service is not true. Locked up! Only open to check people in @ 3:00. Only one towel in the non smoking room that smelled like smoke. There is no coffee in the morning unless you drive to Starbucks! The bathtub hardly drained, & did I mention only one towel for 2 days for 2 people!! No little shampoos so better bring some! NEVER AGAIN! I will sleep in my car next time & save my $146.00 read more

We stayed three nights, and nobody set foot in our room the entire time because the cleaning staff didn't show up for work. No soap, shampoo, nor coffee maker, but they did give us a half roll of TP :/ We went to the office to ask for toilet paper and towels, but he only had a bath mat and two hand towels. Luckily he had a roll of TP. When we went to check out at 8am, we were greeted by a note on the locked door stating they were booked for the night and nobody was on duty. Less then satisfactory. The rooms where far from clean also being musty. The smell was of old stagnant water. The bathroom wall/door had multiple holes. The door had a secondary lock that had been broken. No worker had been seen the entire night stay beside check in. The connecting room door was beat up almost as if the other side could just open the door. The man staying next to us, was absolutely crude. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the rest of the room wasn't. After this less then satisfied stay we will not being staying at another motel 6. At least not until they learn what customer service and a clean room is. read more

Made a reservation online. Get there and the manager tells me there are no rooms....I had to call to get the manager to come down and explain. She finally showed up. Very, very rude. I have never been treated so rudely. I contacted the Motel 6 national office and filed a complaint. I will never,ever go back to this rat hole. I would sleep in my car first read more

Horrible experience. Credit card machine not working. Closed the office at 11pm. Never heard a motel that closes at 11pm. Not helpful customer service. I do not suggest staying here, super frustrating to deal with the front desk. Seems like they are in a rush to leave read more

I had an emergency and my cat and I checked in a couple of days ago. The pet rooms are good and do not smell like dirty dogs. Granted there is not much in the room but it does have fridge ,microwave and it is very clean. I like the back where u can walk your pet as mine does walk on a leash. The price is right!!!! read more

The Worst reserved a room for a night couldn't get there before midnight get there at 1:30am nobody working front desk sign on door says no vacancy but we had a reservation call the number and find out they cancelled our reservation at midnight so I'm stuck sleeping in the car never again will motel 6 get my business read more

Mildew smell everywhere. I know motel 6 is a no frills motel, but this is the bottom of the barrel.

Stopped at this Motel 6 on 3/15/18. My daughter lives in Ferndale and I have stay at this motel several times in the past. Since my last visit this place has gone downhill at record speed. To begin with I was unable to reach anyone over the phone to make a reservation, then when I got there, the office was locked with a notice on the door to call a different number for service. I did reach someone and when she came to the office she appeared to be intoxicated. To make a long story short we did not stay at this motel and we will never stay here again. read more
