Great bedding and views from rear facing rooms can look out over fields
    Prairie S.

The room in the newer wing of the casino was well appointed with an outstanding bathroom including multi-tiered shower. I could open the windows, and if you, like me, get lucky with an upper-floor, rear-facing window you can see open fields and a sunset. Don't face the parking lot if you don't like that depressing view of earth-destroying concrete and tin can vehicles. I can vouch for a booking and check-in experience that was professional. A nearby gas station is convenient for snacks/coffee if you don't want to traipse through the casino halls with jangling machines....because that is the only option. I was well taken care of here, and although I normally don't stay in casinos, the choices around here are limited. It supports the tribe and that is the only reason I stayed here. I wanted my money to support their administration. I note that the road design into the parking lot is horrendous with far too narrow entryways. I would make the contractor return and open up the entries into the parking lots. As a recommendation for improvement, clear signage in the vast parking lot could help people orient themselves to which of the two massive structures they should go into into --one is for hotel stay the other is for the casino. It's tough to drag your suitcase all the way from the vast open parking area upto one door only to be told you need to walk further to the "other" structure. The in-house restaurants looked dark and were not my cup of tea. This review is only for the room -- which was well-appointed and halfway to luxury.

Friendly and helpful staff abound! We enjoyed our two night stay. Very convenient for a bicycle trip to Lummi Island. Dinner , breakfast and a lunch to go prepared us for our the day adventure. We quickly blew through the $60 "free play"w credit we were given as new members. But it was fun! Enjoy!

    Hotel room windows don't open

So I stay at a lot of casinos as you can see because they have a lot of amenities that people want when they travel. So we had a great time in the casino. They had some games that other casinos don't have, but I didn't like The coffee station had powdered cream, which is kind of nasty. We did have a piece of pizza that was good . As far as the room, it had a kind of a funny smell and it would be nice if the windows open, but they don't. Also, they have a pool that is the size of a lap pool very small. the parking is crazy, There is absolutely no parking there on the weekend even in the designated hotel parking lot it was also full.

Slots does pay out. You can do better cross the border to the river rock casino. I don't play table game so I don't know.

Ask the Community - Silver Reef Casino

    Is the casino 18+?

I think you have to be 21 in the casino, but you should probably check with Silver Reef to be sure.

    Is the casino nonsmoking?

Yes! There is a smoking area with slots somewhere in the building but the main casino floor and all the restaurants and such are non-smoking.

Upon check-in, Kumar seemed rude and put out to help me. We exchanged the necessary info for a hotel room. Accordingly, she asked how many people would be staying. I said, "It's just me." Then went on my way. I had a friend from town with me. He helped me unload the car and carry my bags to my room. As we are opening the door, the phone rings. It's Mrs. Kumar. I say "Hello." She replies, "Why did you lie to me?" I asked her what she was talking about, to which she replied "Who is that other with you?" I told her he was a friend from town and was helping me unload. She continued to call me a liar. Then her husband came into the picture. He continued to offer me a refund. I got my refund needless to say. However, in the process, Mrs. Kumar also up-charged a couple for their small dog, which Motel 6 online booking said was no charge. I would have ended my use of Motel 6 entirely, but luckily the manager over this area's locations assured me that the appropriate actions would be taken against Mrs. Kumar and gave me a gift certificate for another stay at my discretion. Whatever you do... DO NOT STAY HERE. There is a Super 8 less than a mile away. They are great people and even laughed when I told them the story and said "You aren't the first guest that has come over from THAT Motel 6."

I like Springhill Suites because there is value in the price and because it is Marriott brand it is invariably clean and well-managed. This Springhill Suites, like all of them, offer oversized rooms with a large sofa, a work station, and a mini-frig and microwave. In the room we stayed, the toilet was separate from the main sink and shower. This hotel also has a large fitness workout area, a heated pool and hot tub. Free breakfast is included in the price and it is pretty extensive so there is something for everyone. Best of all, the hotel is quiet. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Free parking. The hotel caters to families so there are kids to make friends with in the pool. The only negative is that this hotel is physically attached to another Marriott property. You literally walk down the hall and go from one hotel to another. You can get on the elevator in one hotel and get off in another. It is rather easy (at least for me) to get lost as to which hotel I am in and where to go. Sometimes it seems like a maze. The hotel personnel is friendly. Overall, this hotel fit our needs perfectly. It is not necessarily upscale but the price is good, the hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the location is convenient to the city center and the myriad outdoor activities in Bellingham.

It has a pool, sauna and hot tub and the ambiance is nice because of the wood lined raised ceiling and the outdoor deck area. (We didn't use the deck area though because the hotel Wifi doesn't extend there.) My only negatives are: -It wasn't a cheap Holiday Inn, but it was priced similarly to other Holiday Inns in the area. -It doesn't offer free breakfast. It does have a restaurant though where you can purchase a buffet breakfast for $15 (cheaper for kids).
