This was an amazing experience for me. Mostly because they're dog friendly. It can be a nightmare traveling with animals even though they have ESA exemption. There is no add-on pet fee. I checked in after an emergency cancellation from air BnB and there is always someone on site to assist you. Everyone so far has given excellent customer service. The prices are by the day so rates vary, but this is a last-minute spot for people on a dime. It's 1000% better than my stay in Inglewood for almost the same price, and a million times better than my random website bookings otherwise. People just want a 5-star hotel on a fast-food budget it seems, but this served every purpose I needed. And obviously no insane charge for mandatory valet on-site parking, which some high-end hotels use to charge more per room. The room itself is great. The location is not a fancy neighborhood obviously, but I've seen the Four Star Sheraton by the airport has some horrible reviews. This motel itself is awesome after having to compromise so much with my dogs with me. There's AC, plenty of parking, it's close to the 405 (main north-south) freeway, there's a mini fridge, a shower, good wi-fi, and a nice bed to sleep in. And it is as safe as it can be in California as it's video monitored. It was clean as well. I happened to lose my phone during this whole scenario and front desk was kind enough to try to help me find it. I'm sure they get plenty of customers similar to those reviewing who are overly demanding yet cheap. Cheap meaning, won't pay but demand beyond what they can afford anyway. Would I stay here again? Probably not. It was very noisy being right on the main road and we were given the first room on the side of the road. Also the parking lot is tiny for a motel 6 and only one way - whether going or coming it's only enough for one car. So for example when we came in someone was leaving and it's very awkward as we can't get out of their way much and we can't go in. What I didn't hate about it was it was actually pretty clean for a motel 6. Probably the cleanest I can recall being in. Beds were semi comfortable. I did not like that there was literally no mirrors in the place except one tiny one In the bathroom. But points for the sink and mirror being inside the bathroom. If you need somewhere by sofi it's a decent option as it's cheaper than those closer but still only a $20 Uber ride. I will be trying somewhere else though read more

Basic accommodation with basic room furnishings. Strong tobacco odor in the rooms as well. No swimming pool, No fitness center, No coffee maker in the room and breakfast only consists of coffee. Let me start by saying that this was one of the cheapest hotel I could find in the general area, and this review is based on what I got for that price. Because if I paid $200/night for this room this would be a 1 star review. They have a great dog policy and that was the primary reason for staying here as I have a large dog. Some places charge more for a dog fee than this room cost after tax... As for the room, it was very clean and the maid cleaned it every day. The water was insanely hot and the shower was not scary. Parking was always available. And there's a great taco truck that parks a half block away so you always have food. There is quite a bit of homeless traffic out front and you'll probably get asked for money or have to deal with someone talking gibberish in the parking lot. I wouldn't call it 'safe' but I was left alone. Granted I had a giant dog with me at all times... Otherwise I probably wouldn't stay here alone. read more

Very little amenities, but I always bring my own anyways. Did I mention, pet friendly, so you can bring your fur baby at no additional charge. . My sister, niece and I stayed here for about 4 days. For this to be a motel 6 it was pretty nice. There was no bugs in site, very hot water, and the staff was very friendly. We didn't have any problems with our stay. I would give 5 stars but minus one due to Day 3 of extending our stay in the morning before we left to our outing the on site employee was no where to be found which was annoying....about 45 minutes it appears he just rolled out of bed xD Anyways there's ALOT of nice shops to dine at. Pinkberry was one of the places to hit up in an upscale shopping mall then Inglewood had other nice shops as well. We enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is a joke. I know you get what you pay for, but when I am on vacation, I don't plan to spend much time in a room anyway so I don't want to pay too much. Even still, this piece of crap motel charged $89.99 per night. After the other Motel 6 cancelled my reservation, I called here to see if they had any rooms available. The guy on the phone said said yes they had one left. I wanted it so I asked him if I could leave my cc info so he could hold the room. He seemed skeptical but he did it anyway. I asked if we could have a first floor room and he said yes we could have room 119. I was told check in was at 2. We arrive at 4, it's the same guy from the phone checking us in. He takes our payment, and then gives us a room key and says room 109, not 119 like he said earlier. I go to the room and walk in, and it's occupied! How embarrassing! So I go back and tell him and then it becomes an ordeal because they have no clean rooms. I ask about 119 and it's of course occupied. He asks us to come back an hour later. Hell no. I have a baby that I need to feed and check in is supposed to be at 2. Also, why the hell did you take my money if you don't have a room for us? I know if I had not have left my cc number he would have given the room away. We literally sat in a dirty ass room while the housekeeper Laura cleaned it. At least I know it was cleaned well. As far as the rooms, they are basic but this one had a microwave and fridge which was cool. The bed is not comfortable at all. Oh and they have ROACHES. I saw 2 of them on the wall the morning before we left. Sooooo gross. I would have rather slept in my car. On Saturday night we came back and I went to the front to ask for more towels. The same dude was working the front except he wasn't there. No, instead he was in a room drinking with his friends. He said one of his friends was getting married. So professional! Do not stay here. Awful experience, stay away!!! They have an agreement with AARP for 2 p.m. checkout. I stated in the comments on my reservation I would be utilizing the 2 pm checkout, to notify me if that could not be honored. I spoke to them in person upon arrival, they agreed that would be fine. Next day at one (when I was gone) they collected all my belongings (underwear, personal paperwork) and brought them to the front desk!!! I am a travel nurse, work nights, forget sleeping during the day, maid service pounding on front door repeatedly early in the morning. Dirty, icky, depressing rooms. Room-- Was incredible, it must of been renovated. Was a deal for the price that i payed. I was extremely happy with the room, super clean! Hotel Service-- not so great. The main attendant at the front desk put a $500 dollar hold on my card, when really should of just been $225. I had to go out of my way & fix the scam with my bank. On my last day, he rudely tried to force his way into my room while i was dressing for work (WTF)!!! Was last minute decision to stay in a motel. This one didn't look so bad. Rooms are spacious. Beds are ok. I took a shower and walked around the room a little bit and noticed my feet felt dirty. Looked and found they were, after a shower. Took a wet washcloth and wiped a 2 ft spot between the beds and it is the first picture. The next is the entire area between the beds and a little bit at the foot of the bed so maybe a 6x 2 ft area. This is disgusting! Do you even mop? This was just with water. I was shocked at this amount of filth. It's July 18th and other guests were lighting off fireworks in the parking lot. And the toilet rocks from side to side. On a positive note the WiFi is fast. Room included microwave and mini fridge but a coffee pot would have been nice. Motel 6 used to be a nice clean place to stay, but recently I have found its not just 1 locations that needs work, it's many. I have stayed in one in Kennewick, Wa, Madras, OR, San Angelo, Texas and now this one in Gardena, CA and they all had many problems including cleanliness. read more

All the maids their are on drugs and dont clean up the rooms right. Two of the hispanic maids there said they hate black people. Its 2019 i wish i would have seen the reviews before i checked in because they been having bad business since 2014. Oh and they will lie and assume you have visitors and try to kick you out. I am not the one who writes a reviews and i signed up for yelp just for this. I HATED MY STAY HERE, room was nasty. I complained about the bed sheet with stains on it and this skinny indian kid (not racist at all) came to check up on it 8min after i called the front office. He looked at me like it shouldnt matter. The stains were brown/dark red and who knows if that was blood. I asked to please change the whole sheet and he said ok ill talk to the manager either get a discount or change the sheet. Uuuum i would like the whole sheet to be changed.. 30min later i have not heard back from him, so my husband and i decided to leave to get some dinner. Went back to the front desk to let them know that I will be out of the room for dinner and hoping for the bed sheet to be changed and the guy said, (with an attitude of) okay I already did call the manager to see what they want to do,. he said it with an attitude.....wow......... came back from dinner maybe 4 -5 hours later since my husband and I decided to kill time. We came back to the room the whole bed sheet was changed but the pillow still has some stains and I still found a few other stain spots on the bed sheet. I was totally grossed out. Thank god i had blankets and pillows in my car and thats what my husband and i ended up using. Ooooh also hair on the towels and again thank god i had my own towels with me. Long story short when checked out time to return the key, the same kid was in the front desk. I said my thank you and he didnt say anything back and i looked at him and i said wow it would be nice to hear a youre welcome or a thank you from you? And he ignored me so i slammed the door. Anyways I WOULD NOT COME BACK HERE AND I DO NOt SUGGEST THIS PLACE. Not only its dirty and also it smells bad (weed) i do not smoke weed and dont have problem with it but omg outside and inside of this place just smells like weeds. The room was nice. However. I requested a smoking room and got a non smoking. The phone in my room didn't work. I walked down to the attendant in the office and was told someone would come up and fix it and no one showed up. The heater in my room was soooo loud it kept me up at night. I walked to the office and told the attendant and again no one showed up. I checked out 2 days later at 4am. Went to the office, rang the buzzer for 8 minutes and no one came to the window. So I just left my key on the table in my room and left. The best part about this hotel is the amazing housekeeping staff. I travel to LA 4 times a month and stay at many different hotels. I have never stayed at a motel 6 before and after this experience I never will again. read more

I have never written a review on a place I have stayed before but this was one of the worst stays I have ever experienced. The room smells like cigarette smoke, we were only provided with 1 pillow and 1 towel each, the blanket was a thin sheet and it had stains all over it, there were people screaming and walking around outside all night and this morning I woke up to construction workers right outside my door working. First off it's our fault, for not recognizing the name Crenshaw, and secondly when the clerk asked if you want to pay for one night or two after made a reservation for 2 nights, that's your sign. Also the room wasn't kept clean, the blanket was full of "love stains" (I hope) and it looked like the room had been used as a brothel. The room next door had a party that lasted from 10 til 3 am and they continued to talk until 6. I made a reservation 2 weeks prior to my stay when I got there the room was a smoking room nd stink like cigarette, there where cigarette burns on the bed the pillows had yellow stains the floor was dirty it seem like someone had just left the room. When I ask if they could at least clean the room didn't ask for discount or free night just a clean room the owner got mad said the room was clean nd the only thing he could do is give me a refund. The rooms are clean and the have upgraded them very nicely but the walls are so thin you can hear everything next door, my daughter heard next door neighbors having sex. Not good. For the value- it can't be beat! (We stayed for $60/night) The room was super clean and obviously recently upgraded. The bathroom was HUGE and spotless. All countertops were upgraded to granite, tile in bathroom was new, carpets were new and clean. We were very happy with the value that we received at this location. Great job Motel 6! read more

A great place to stay. Very helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. Our room included an apartment sized fridge, a microwave, a two burner stove on a good sized kitchen counter with a large sink. There were no utensils or dishes supplied but just go by the Dollar Tree about a block away and pick up what you need. Coffee available in the office every morning. Very attractive and clean outside appearance and conveniently located. Parking can be difficult on busy nights for the motel but, otherwise, we would definitely stay here again. read more

Horrible experience ! I had reserved a room for two nights and they charged my card (that i used only to reserve the room) when I wanted to pay cash instead. The manager Peter was SO rude to me and took 30 minutes just to refund my card. He never once apologized for the inconvenience of me having to wait so long. These people don't know anything about customer service. Then he refused to take my money because he said I was being rude. You would be upset too if someone charged your card when you called ahead of time and said you were on the way and would be paying in cash !! They are idiots , do not stay here. read more

My stay at this motel 6 on crenshaw was horrible, I rented a room for two nights and the last night of stay they let the maids come in my room they took my belongings, every bag I had my clothes and my expensive make up they claim to have threw it in the trash by accident but when they took my items out the trash they gave me only some of my items back which was not my makeup my clothes were damaged and they gave me my damaged items back in the same nasty bag from the trash can that the other clients that stayed had threw there trash on top of, I had gotten sick, bad headache, and when I talk to the owner he was not helpful at all, he smiled and offered me 20.00 back from the night I paid for??? I can never stay there again and I will never get my items back from long time of keeping up with my things. I had them items for years, and if i would never have stayed there, I would still have everything i worked hard for. read more
