I arrived at the hotel at 3:45pm and they were still cleaning my room! In addition I was checked in to a double queen bed when I had booked a king bed! There is NO vending! NO ice machines! NO fitness center and NO swimming pool! Also NO microwave in the room! NO face towels! The toilet flushing lever was broken! The walls have poor sound insulation so you can hear other guests talking in their rooms as well as doors opening and closing! Boring TV channels as well! Only positives here are: The hotel is conveniently located next to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations and also public transportation! The hotel also serves complimentary breakfast in the morning! There is a laundry room on site and a well maintained garden on site! There is a water dispenser and community microwave as well!

The wall paint was peeling and weak internet connection.

The bed was hard it felt like your were sleeping on the floor and the room broke bathroom handle.

This is a pleasant, maintained quiet, aging, hotel. About 40 years older than the local Motel 6. It is steps away from an Asian shopping center and market and IHOP. . The Basic room was clean and have beds, refrigerator and coffee maker, they call that combination a "Kitchenette." Hard, thin white towels, we only got 2 hand and bath towels, No was cloths. I went to Target and bought a $10 set that was superior to their towels. Please be very careful when booking and call the hotel to verify what kind of room your are actually booking, because the room descriptions can be misleading and need to be updated. The plus was that the hotel deposit is only $20. They advertise a breakfast, but it's located upstairs and there is no elevator for mobility impaired guests, so that sucks. When I asked where was my patio? The gentleman pointed to a community garden area outdoors. There is are no microwave or washing machines in the rooms as described. Most of the things in the room descriptions are either not there or just an amenity on the prop. The full/twin beds sat on a metal queen size frame and it was painfully awkward due to the empty space around the mattress. It's a fair, budget quiet stay for a night, but just be careful, I found a very large roach in my room. The older female Asian registration clerk was rude to my disabled partner. She spoke to her dismissively after asking for directions to the laundry room, and my partner had to put that lady in check, telling her that you should not speak to guests in that manner. That clerk needs better training, our experience added much unnecessary stress. I would skip this for a newer hotel in a better area if you can afford it.

Everything you hope for - especially when your looking last minute, have a huge rental truck, and are irritated with your significant other. Friendly smile upon arrival, easy and safe parking, smooth check-in, clean rooms......deep breath.....clean rooms and shower, mini fridge, AND FREE JAPANESE BREAKFAST! Definitely recommend this place.

August 2026…read more Excellent! Nice front desk staff, welcoming, super clean, well maintained rooms that are (not) beat up or broken. The rooms are super clean, you get a ton of amenities: air conditioning, a refrigerator in every room (some that even have a little freezer, big screen TV's (some rooms even have two remotes that includes a special remote for specialty (mainstream) channels, free WiFi, free parking (you read that right), great well maintained ice machines on every other floor, free tea and coffee, great and always well stocked beverage vending machines that only cost 1$ - $2 - with pure orange juice, V8 juice, different cold teas, and several different brands of high quality water in the vending machines, all for only $1 to $2. Free breakfast (every morning) with your choice of one of three choices: American (scrambled egg, toast or bagel, bacon or breakfast sausage, breakfast potatoes, and a little salad on the side. Or, you can choose the Asian breakfast Binto box, or, the new Curry bowl for breakfast. Kleenex and ice buckets are in every room too, and ample towels and a bath mat. The bidets in the bathrooms are a very nice extra, and you can set your toilet seat to 'warm'. Comfy! There is also a (clean) laundry room with (new) washers and dryers, and a Fitness Center (but I didn't go in, so I can rate it). There's a big swimming pool up to 4 1/2 feet deep. There is a very nice covered patio in the front of the hotel and an additional big patio area, both right across from the front entrance to the hotel lobby. The plants and foilage and plants look good. New Gardena Hotel offers a Conference Center (but I didn't go inside so I can comment on it), and a great restaurant with Japanese foods and some appetizers, beverages, and probably wines. All this is situated in a relatively good and safe location in Gardena, CA. 5 1/2 Stars!

They had salmon or Saba make sure to come early. There was a long line even before they opened and they ran out of salmon, even though we were at the front of the line. It was nice that they also had unlimited miso soup and rice available and the portion of food provided was a good amount. Outside seating was available, which made it good so that we could make sure to stay safe from sicknesses Was happy to have free garage parking and the complementary tea was nice to have in the lobby. Of particular note was that there are a lot of younger guys staying at this particular hotel that appeared to have parties (drinking?) happening in the rooms nearby and would linger around outside of the lobby hanging out. They didn't bother us and were not super loud but they did end up showing up in the hallways and such here and there.

On the outside, the hotel actually looks like a business building (it appears to be a multi-purpose establishment), however, the interior's asian aesthetic was quite elegant. The concierge ensured that any related fees were handled up front so that when my brother and his bride arrived, check-in would be seamless for them. My brother was effusive in his thanks for their suite, saying that both it and their city view were beautiful.

It offers superior value over most chain hotel, achieving a Zen like atmosphere, accompanied by immpecable customer service and Japanese organization, efficiency and cleanliness. Upon arrival to the hotel and finishing check-in, we ascended to our floor with our luggage by utilizing the Mitsubishi elevators. We entered our sizable Japandi designed Queen suite and a lacquered container was awaiting us, placed on top of a large table, containing a selection of Sencha and Hōjicha. The soft shimmering glow of the South Bay was visible in the distance through the two sliding glass doors, appropriately lit by two Panasonic FHF24SENF3 24-shik style slim high-frequency fluorescent tubes as found in most Japanese hotels, recessed above the curtains. We decided afterwards to enjoy the fresh air, and partook in Marlboro Blend No. 27's and Camel Blues respectively. Before heading to dinner, the offerings of Philip Morris and R.J. Reynolds were colocating to the smoker's station, contributing to tabako bilateralism as they joined several Japanese domestic market (JDM) Neo heated nicotine sticks. This is becoming more and more are in this day and age, as mainstream media would lead most people to the conclusion that relations and communication amongst the nations is fading away in the world. I consider myself a political optimist and often, a walking contradiction at best, but I must digress. Dinner afterwards was spectacular, and we chose the seasonal combination after perusing the menu, which was extensive, offering a plethora of classic Japanese dishes ranging from Katsu curry to sashimi. We sampled a plethora of rare Japanese foods, each appropriately sized and filling. These dishes are rarely found in America, or even outside of Japan in Asia as I have experienced first hand. Their tempura with Matcha-jio and fish soup is a must try. We also paired the dinner assortment with cold plum and hot sake. Afterwards, I was able to enjoy a wonderful shower and had a long, relaxing soak in the modern Toto Japanese-style tub. My friend and I then winded down in the tranquil room, waking up the next morning and completely refreshed after a very peaceful night's sleep. We spotted the skyscrapers of downtown Los Angeles and the spectacular San Gabriel Mountain backdrop off in the distance from the balcony, as the rising sun illuminated all of the city. We realized much later on that this was a once in a lifetime experience as my friend resides almost a day's drive away. To summarize, I would highly recommend anyone who is traveling, or just someone who would like to have a staycation to visit Miyako Hybrid Hotel. For us, it provided a unique and comfortable place to rest, and partaking of "Mikayo Hybrid" fare at the Ise-Shima restaurant after a 9 hour drive from NorCal was a wonderful surprise. I will return in the near future, as it brings back nostalgic memories of my travels to Honshu as a child.

I checked in after an emergency cancellation from air BnB and there is always someone on site to assist you. Everyone so far has given excellent customer service. The prices are by the day so rates vary, but this is a last-minute spot for people on a dime. It's 1000% better than my stay in Inglewood for almost the same price, and a million times better than my random website bookings otherwise. People just want a 5-star hotel on a fast-food budget it seems, but this served every purpose I needed. And obviously no insane charge for mandatory valet on-site parking, which some high-end hotels use to charge more per room. The room itself is great. The location is not a fancy neighborhood obviously, but I've seen the Four Star Sheraton by the airport has some horrible reviews. This motel itself is awesome after having to compromise so much with my dogs with me. There's AC, plenty of parking, it's close to the 405 (main north-south) freeway, there's a mini fridge, a shower, good wi-fi, and a nice bed to sleep in. And it is as safe as it can be in California as it's video monitored. It was clean as well. I happened to lose my phone during this whole scenario and front desk was kind enough to try to help me find it. I'm sure they get plenty of customers similar to those reviewing who are overly demanding yet cheap. Cheap meaning, won't pay but demand beyond what they can afford anyway. Not on a budget.

What I didn't hate about it was it was actually pretty clean for a motel 6. Probably the cleanest I can recall being in. Beds were semi comfortable. I did not like that there was literally no mirrors in the place except one tiny one In the bathroom. But points for the sink and mirror being inside the bathroom. The pool area and décor are beautiful, but unfortunately, the hospitality was disappointing. There was no clear signage, menu, or direction on how to order food or drinks. Once we found the QR code, the online ordering system asked for a room number to proceed--even though we were day guests. After some troubleshooting, we discovered that entering "N/A" finally worked. Once we ordered, the food took about 30 minutes, which was understandable. However, Apple Pay was not accepted, and when one of us provided a physical card, the employee walked away with it for over five minutes, which made us uncomfortable. To top it off, the banana smoothie was extremely watered down and barely resembled a smoothie. For a Marriott property, I expected much better hospitality. There were so many opportunities to make the guest experience easier and more welcoming. The pool itself is beautiful, but the service and ordering process need significant improvement.
