Staff are very friendly and very helpful, especially when they knew my car broke down. One employee offered numbers for a tow and another offered their tools to help fix my car. Plus I had my girlfriend and dog with me, so glad to get stranded in a place where they can stay safe together. Room was clean, plenty of towels and there was even a TV. Liked the vending machines in the lobby, lots of snacks! sure, i did hear the people under me but i really could care less. Thank you staff members for the help. Do not stay here. Checked in to get a few hours of sleep at 1:42 am. First room, heater fan was so loud, you could not hear yourself speak. Went to front desk to have rom changed out. Second room not better and in fact way worse as the heat ducts were all furry with black mold. Went back to the front desk were the employee said, "I'm giving you a refund" We can't do bater than that! This place is filled with guests who appear to be living here. Sign at the front desk says, "Motel 6 only allows for a max stay of 28 days", in which you have to check out for one week before you can return. It also says, we will assist you in your stay, which I take to mean, you can live at this motel 6 and we will work around the 28 day rule. Don't stay here! read more

Terrible motel 6. This place has pot smoking addicts, ants, and roaches! Believe it. I've killed 2 roaches so far, and I don't know how many ants. Don't leave food in the rooms! The office staff are OK though. You have to remind the maids to clean your room if you're staying multiple days or otherwise they will overlook your room. It's a bad place. The only good thing is I-5 right next door. It helps me sleep. read more

I would never stay at this motel again. Stopping at a motel in the middle of nowhere, you expect slightly less than glamorous accommodations. I mean it's a Motel 6 for crying out loud. But this one in particular was worse than any I've stayed at in the past. For starters, we walked into our room to find the window screen laying on the table. Strange, right? It doesn't stop there. We unload our bags and my husband gets the keys to grab one more thing from the car. Only to find out that we're now locked in the room. The door doesn't open from the inside. I've seen enough horror flicks to know that's not a great sign. Anyway, that explains the screen being off the window. Apparently we weren't the first visitors to get stuck. Or the staff was nice enough to leave the screen off for us? Anyway, went to the office to get a new room. The staff said they watched us on the cameras but for some reason seemed to have a hard time grasping our complaint. Long story short, we switched rooms and ended up in a room with a number of flies, dead and alive. See pics. Also, the shower light didn't work. That was the least of our worries as the area had a lot of shady looking individuals. Definitely wouldn't stay here again. read more

NEVER STAY HERE!!!! Called to make a reservation for 2 rooms for a family of 6 since you can't really do it online. Made the reservation but the employee did not get my credit card info so now at 3am in the morning they are sold out and my family is without a place to sleep. They said without a credit card they had to cancel our reservation but I was NEVER asked to give a credit card which I would have been happy to provide. These people employ idiots!!!!! Pulled in at midnight to try and get 6 quick hours of sleep. Hotel was very noisy. No insulation in the walls, so you could hear every car and truck on the freeway. Was midnight, yet I could even hear the people in the next room, and they were just speaking normally, so I couldn't even complain they were being loud. "Motel 6, we'll leave the light on for you." Thank goodness for their slogan as electricity was one of the few amenities this motel offered. Not bad for a quick sleep over. Would I want to vacation here... Nope. The main issue was that we turned down a two double bed room for a single queen as my wife and I wanted to sleep in the same bed comfortably. When we got to the room, it's not a queen but a single double bed. We made due and we both took turns sleeping on the edge. Not too bad, we figured out that if one person keeps their hand on the floor most of their body would remain on the bed. There is no HDTV, just the basic old one. Also there was no shampoo in the room, but we had our own from a previous hotel so it was ok. Wifi is avail for $2.99 per day. No breakfast, but you can get a coffee in the office, but only in the morning. We did check for roaches, bed bugs, and other critters before we unpacked and were shocked, even they didn't wanna stay here. :-) But seriously, a no frills motel at a decent price. It was clean and mostly comfortable. The staff was friendly and they had plenty of free parking. So overall I feel we had a good stay. The 1 star was only because of lack of amenities. read more

I was driving back from Santa Cruz and this motel 6 was the first place we came to. I am not a big fan of motel 6 in general, but they can be a bare bones place to sleep. it was 3:30 in the morning I was exhausted so 6 it is. I paid the 69 dollars and went up to the room. the carpet was filthy and wet. The blankets and sheets were thread bare dirty and disgusting. The Heater was broken as well. I got in the bed and immediately some type of fleas or bed bugs gave me two bite. I repacked demanded my money back and checked out. I told the clerk they should be ashamed of themselves. Absolutely disgusting!!! Filthy filthy filthy! Do not stay here! Drove one hr up the 5 and stayed at a clean comfortable best western. I gladly payed 30 dollars more! Poo Smell Well, broke my rule and booked this room at the last minute.... Here right now and regret it! Room is clean enough, but we are on the first floor and right in front is a grassy patch which smells of doggy poo. Every time you open the door, in it wafts and stays for a long time. In the middle of winter and the room is warm, but i would not dare open the window. I will never stay in another motel 6 EVER again!!! read more

Looking for a spot to crash the night, we seen vacancy on the Motel 6 $59 a night. Didn't really expect much at 1 am anyhow we checked in, the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. It's a Motel 6, so don't expect the Ritz. The room was clean, didn't have too weird of a smell, and the water ran hot with a shower head well above my 6' self. sheets are scratchy... But it's a motel 6 so I'm not too mad. It has super easy highway access. You pay for wifi but there's HBO and a good number of other channels. Our room had a desk in it for work. For the price I got through a 3rd party I'd stay here again if I had to. read more

The room was clean enough. I just needed somewhere to put my head on a pillow. Now the exterior is an entirely different story. Very very sketchy! Loads of loiterers. A bit shady looking. I know I'm not at the Ritz but really. I was afraid to leave my car. Went and parked it up by the office in hopes that they could keep an eye on it. My problem is not with the room. It was neat and quiet. My problem is with their business model. I had made a reservation for a stay here through Expedia. When I arrived the clerk could not find the reservation until I gave her the reservation number. She advised me it was for a different date and I had to contact Expedia to cancel it. I paid her for the night and was assured Expedia would cancel the reservation for the wrong date. The next date I went to Expedia's site and followed the online instructions to cancel the erroneous date. In fact, they did not cancel the reservation and instead processed the additional charge against my card. I spoke with an Expedia rep who attempted to get this Motel 6 to refund the erroneous charge, which they refused to do. I have to believe this is entirely due to pure greed. read more

Made reservations by calling this locations direct number. Upon check-in was told by a very rude desk clerk that the reservation pricing would NOT be honored. There were $18 more charged just for the room, then $2.99 for WI-FI, which was supposed to be included as per the original reservation. The floors of the room (hard laminate) hadn't been mopped in sometime, and were sticky in places. The pool had not been maintained for some time and the water of which was green. I would give this motel a negative star if there was one. Where do I start, the toilet is broken and you can hear it running all night, our lock on our door is broken as well as the window so there is constantly a draft coming in. The room phone does not work! The ac/heater is broken & on top of that the filters haven't been changed in years due to the fact that there is mold. You can hardly breathe through all of the dust, mold, etc. The bed sheets and thin blanket were not even washed, there was hair on the pillows from the previous customer(s). BEDBUGS is a bonus i guess. It's a very dirty & unsafe place with many maintenance problems. The cheap price is not worth it. Better luck sleeping in the car. read more

I understand this is a Motel 6, so it's definitely not going to have the quality of any other hotel, but I at least expect a clean place to sleep and shower. I did not get that at all. We arrived at about 12:15 am, and the lady in the office was very pleasant. We had been in a conference for 8 hours earlier in the day, and after 6 hours of driving, we couldn't wait to get to our room to sleep. We get into our non smoking room that had a cigarette smoke smell and it was hot so we turned the air conditioning on. It sounded like there was a broken piece rattling around inside the vent, and the noise never stopped. Thank goodness I sleep with earplugs when I'm not at home. My dad was not so lucky. I always check beds before I get in them, and one of the beds had hair all over the sheets and blankets. My dad slept in that one, and he turned the pillow cases inside out, and slept on top of the bed fully clothed. The shower was also covered in hair, along with one of the bath towels (luckily they gave us 3 towels). There was mildew on the walls in the bathroom, the light switch was dirty in the room. We were both disgusted with the room and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I would not recommend staying at this place at all. read more

Outside not so good but really nice rooms. Lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Exterior of hotel could use a cleaning and fresh paint. Walkways and stairs could really use a power wash. But inside of the room was surprisingly nice as they seem to have been recently remodeled and our non-smoking room did not smell of smoke. Comfortable beds, nice flat panel tv, and laminate floors so nice clean floors. AC did struggle to cool the room down as it was turned off when we checked in on a hot summer evening. I have had pretty good experiences at Motel 6's before, but not at this Motel, not in Santa Nella at 12733 S Hwy 33. On January 11 very late at night we settled in. In a bit, the heat blew in air smelling of cigarette smoke; we were in a no smoking room. No point in changing being we met a couple who said their room in a different area had the same issue. In the morning, we did not have hot water, so the staff had to find a room with hot water. The room next to ours had hot water but no water pressure, and a pretty dirty broken toilet. So I was taken to a room about 50 feet away. Hot water yes, water pressure still lousy. But I was told because of the cold, none of the rooms had decent water pressure - the pipes not performing because of the temps in the low 40's. And it was cold as ! discovered trudging around before and after my wimpy shower, also putting us behind in our trip because of it. On the plus side, the guy at the desk at night, Edgar, was super nice spending time helping us with our route and printing out a map. But just not worth the money for the stay at all. I did let Motel 6 know and they apologized and will be sending me a certificate for a free night anywhere in the US, but it would have been better not going there at all. read more
