Highly disappointed!! Made a reservation days ago requested a microwave and a refrigerator and was told at check in neither were available and they weren't sure they would be anytime soon. Then get to my room by an exit door that slams, and it's only a double bed when I booked a queen bed! Ripped curtains, small room and cigarette burns on the bath tub along with the one towel bar in the bathroom hanging half off the wall...so furious for what I've paid and the crappy accommendations I have to deal with!!! I will NOT recommend to anyone! read more

The front desk staff is so nice but I can't see how they deal with management! Kim Cobb yells and curses at the staff so loud that the entire first floor can hear. She even harasses the disabled parents of the staff to the point that the police had to be called. If Kim is on shift, you definitely won't get any sleep there. This was probably the worst experience in a hotel I've ever had. I'll start off by pointing out the blood stain on the bedsheet, and various other dubious stains of unknown origin on the comforter. Then, let's talk about the sleepless night. This place is either a zoo or perhaps even a shelter for the homeless because adults and children were carrying on until 2 in the morning out in the halls. Large family, I guess, with their doors open so they could party it up together. So, after the sleepless night, my husband and I go about our day the next day and come back for a nap. Well, that didn't happen either. The cleaning staff probably made more noise than the zoo bunking across from me. Their idea of communicating to one another is yelling. Not to mention slamming doors every five seconds. This place is NOT soundproof. It smells terrible. It's a refuge for those that are probably living on the streets. I've seen gas station rest stops more clean. I'm tired. I'm mad. And Lord only knows that it has taken me all of my willpower not to bust out of my room to tell everyone about themselves. This place is a homeless shelter, not a hotel. It looks nothing like the photos on the web site. Loud noise and yelling and music all night from other rooms. Eviction notices on the doors. Garbage bags in the hallways. Lots of undesirables milling about. The Wifi does NOT work at all, so if you are a business person or need internet forget it. I had prepaid for 2 nights but checked out the first night. Just horrible do not stay here! read more

The room is very outdated (no refrigerator or microwave), dirty, unkempt, peeling paint. Just because I do check for bedbugs, the mattress was stained, ripped and horrible to sleep on. The nightstaff was very inconsiderate and bias. Long of the short, stay away from this motel if your white, have children and aren't a drug addict. The " non smoking " policy is also a joke, you open your room any time of day and get bombarded by cigarette and Marijuana. read more

Faulty Fire Alarms woke us up at 3 am and 5 am !! Got zero sleep and checked out early because after the fire alarms and two evacuations was enough ... Also front desk person was very nasty when I called the next day. read more

This is a really, really sketchy motel. The bulk of their customers are homeless or in active addiction. There are broken down cars and shopping carts in the parking lot and barefoot junkies wandering in and out at all hours of the day and night. Expensive vehicles only make brief stops, if you catch my drift. I've seen people camping in the next parking lot over only to stay here for a couple nights and then go back to camping. If you're from out of town and need a place to spend the night, you'd do well to avoid it. If you're looking for trouble, on the other hand... read more

Pottstown, PA. I was surprised how cozy the room was here even if it wasn't perfect. Sometimes it is nice to just travel and get away and explore new territory. Sometimes it doesn't matter where you are as long as it is with the person you wanna be with. Sometimes it is just the lighting of the room. Liked how comfortable it was here after driving so long. You get relief just to close your eyes and become oblivious to everything around you for the night. read more

If you're looking for luxury, you won't find it here. However, if you're looking for a reasonably priced, CLEAN, and convenient place to spend a night, you won't be disappointed choosing this Motel 6. I found the bed and pillows comfortable, the linens freshly laundered to include the blanket and bed spread, plus the bathroom was roomy and sported a new tub/shower. First, I got a room for $75 a night. That's cheap. And as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. It was a small room with a TV and bathroom. Nothing fancy. Everything was clean and the front guest staff and housekeepers were friendly. No problems there. The problems were the other guests. Yikes. There were dogs barking, babies crying and people coming in and out of rooms all night. There were couples fighting and couples making their headboards bang against the wall at 4 A.M. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything. If it weren't for the other guests, I'd give this place a higher rating. read more

The bad reviews terrified me, as I had no choice but to stay in Pottstown for 4 nights. Reviews at other hotels in & around the city, many for double the cost of M6, had bad reviews, too, so I decided to take a chance. According to the front desk staff today, the rooms are being slowly renovated, so some of the rooms are newer than others. I'm suspecting many of the complaints are from those who didn't have new rooms. I was lucky in that I did, as it was clean, looked decent & was quite comfortable, but... they're also making the previously smoking rooms into non-smoking & that's the worst of it. The reviews stating the rooms wreak of smoke are stunningly correct. It's absurd the amount of smoke aroma left behind in a renovated room... In fact, it was so awfully unpleasant, I went to the local TJMaxx, bought a cheap imposter perfume to use as room freshener & sprayed my room every few hours. It was better, but needed to be constantly repeated, which is annoying. After awhile, no matter how many times I sprayed, I could taste & smell smoke & when I left, all my belongings wreaked. The 'hood is quiet & mostly safe, but there are shady characters hanging about the parking lot during the day. While I was there, I had to ask the front desk to call 911 as a man was manhandling his screaming gf outside my window. There was also something similar happening in the hallway at 2-3am & the front desk had to visit their room to complain. Many guests with small children were quite loud all day & night, with blaring TVs, yelling & loud talk. Not the hotel's fault, but in 4-nights, there was turnover of guests, so I guess this is their normal clientele. There are nearby stores & places to eat to drive to, although know in advance, this isn't cuisine central, mostly mediocre fast food & Applebee's type places. The parking lot is pitch black at night, which startled me a bit when I had to go to my car around 11pm for aspirin. Smoke being the worst con, the next is price ($70-ish most nights!) It must be Pottstown's proximity to King of Prussia or Philly that brings up costs, but I've stayed at far nicer M6's in San Diego for $20-30 less/night. But, it's still one of the lowest priced hotels in the area. Housekeeping staff are all lovely & very capable. The front desk staff aren't as friendly & unfortunately, they're never at the front desk, but behind the wall with the radio on, so you must ring the bell or call for them, multiple times... they never seem to notice when someone's entered or is standing at the desk. One older lady can't hear at all & was quite surly with me when I mentioned I'd rung the bell several times & also called her several times. Why are they never out front? You can hear them talking & complaining anytime you visit the front desk, but must wait 5-min or so for someone to notice you're there. I found the best way to reach them was to call the front desk with my issue, then say, 'Wait, I'm coming down right now.' That's not very professional on their behalf & note to management... anyone at the desk can hear everything they're saying & it's not always professional. Note that this is 1 of the few M6's in which you must enter through the lobby or side door via room key to get to your room, rather than drive up to the front of your door, as with most M6's. The latter is one of the selling features for me w/M6. They do have a luggage cart, but the layout of the parking lot makes it a bear to use. If you've lots of luggage or heavy bags, getting to your room & then back to your car with luggage is an utter pain in the arse. The manager does need to address the smoke smell issue, because as the hotel is normally in the $73-80 range, it causes a bit more of a sting to have an ashtray of a room. I can't believe they can't use some sort of plug in ionizer to cut the aroma, but they should check into it today if not sooner. I'd stay again if I had to, but only for 1 night. If I had to remain a few days, I'd certainly try something else & pay double. read more

Pretty decent place to stay in a pinch. I feel room rates are slightly steep given quality of rooms. I recognize they are open during construction but perhaps prices should reflect accordingly. This is a non-smoking motel now which is good but still smells a little stale. Animals are allowed which is not necessarily a selling point for me as I am pet free but perhaps others enjoy this. Not bad in a moments notice but u can get better rooms elsewhere. read more
