My stay at Motel 6 was very disappointing and honestly felt poorly maintained. The toilet paper wasn't replaced and was still more than halfway used. The bathroom wasn't properly cleaned, the toilet and shower were still dirty, and the floor hadn't been cleaned either. The bed looked like it had been made, but a visibly stained sheet was still left on instead of being replaced, which was unacceptable. The room also had a noticeable cigarette smell. While the toiletries were restocked, that was really the only thing done correctly. Check-in was done through a video kiosk with some Indian guy with a heavy accident, which felt impersonal and didn't make the experience any better. On top of that, the pool was closed for cleaning during the stay, which was disappointing. Overall, the room felt rushed and not properly cleaned or prepared for guests. read more

We checked in for 2 nights, given room keys and went to the room to find the staff was still "cleaning" it. Upon returning, we saw animal hair, dirt, food crumbs, etc., all over the floor. We asked a maintenance person to re-clean the floor, we watched him sweep, mop and vacuum the floor as best as he could. I believe this floor had not been really cleaned for quite some time. I had a bad feeling, so before we returned the second time, we bought lint brushes, spray cleaner and cleaning wipes, "just in case". When we returned, we saw just how filthy this room was. I wish I had taken photos of the first cleaning wipes because they were completely black! I am not one to exaggerate, this place was filthy. Everything from the mirror, refrigerator with someone else's leftover pizza, microwave with food and napkins in it, dirty shower floor, poop stains in the toilet, stained sheets and towels, hair on sheets, etc. was just dirty/ We had to stay because everywhere else was either booked or $450+ a night. We just can't afford that. I cleaned and cleaned just so we could go to bed. I still didn't have a good feeling so I went to Ross and bought sheets to put over their sheets. I never opened their bedsheets completely. I think I was afraid. We left early for a parade and I kept thinking how I couldn't even go back to relax in that room. When we finally came back, I wanted to look at the room again to make sure I wasn't making a big deal out of nothing. I decided to open their bedsheets, and saw a light stain coming through their top and bottom fitted sheet. I removed their sheets and found a huge blood stain. I know there was no way their staff could miss this. Even though we had paid for 2 nights, we packed up and left. I should have checked YELP or Google. I see now they have had terrible reviews. I thought I had read the Expedia reviews and they were okay. I don't care how old a place is or if their furniture is outdated, but I do care about cleanliness. This place was absolutely disgusting. I tried to find a staff m,ember to show them but they only had a virtual assistant to talk to. read more

Even by Motel 6 standards this was unacceptable. At over $100/night I expect more. Ground floor room requested not available upon arrival even though the motel did not appear near full all weekend. Room in poor condition. Mattress should have been replaced eons ago (lumpy, no support). A/C unit horrendously loud. Employees extremely nice but it doesn't make up for the condition of the place. Nice landscaping and pool, but frankly, too much effort and money put in the wrong area. Curb appeal doesn't matter when the inside is beyond threadbare. read more

My wife and I stayed here for one night due to needing a break on our long drive. It has been a long time since we stayed at a Motel 6 and we didn't get in until 9:45pm. First thing, the kiosk was creepy, the gentleman who helped us through the kiosk didn't even notice that we had ended up with three reservations. Thankfully the woman who was working the night shift found the glitch and fixed it for us. My only complaint is, the floor was sticky, the AC looked broken. read more

We had switched rooms and the second was the worst so we came back to the original. Then woke up to bites all over our bodies. Eyes swollen shut. The manager claimed it happened at the field LOL. Don't waste your money! The company we booked through spoke to Jennifer the manager/owner and she refused a refund. When we were there many people complained of the smoke as well. Hopefully others didn't get bites all over their body. Jennifer refused a refund. My family and I came to visit and needed a place to rest. So we got a room here, first was confused about being quoted one price and charge another. Then asked for non smoking due to allergies they gave us room 207 which had a conjoining room and those occupants were chain smokers so my 9yr old and I were coughing all night. Then to top it off I woke up to a burning sensation on my arm and noticed a bed bug chewing on me. Then checked my 9yr old to see bites up and down his arms. Called the front desk and was told we can change rooms, it was 4am with a special needs 9yr old. We changed rooms but couldnt get comfy knowing the bugs were lurking in the shadows. read more

The room was adequate, however had a strong smell of cleaning product. Then the door wouldn't open without being forced as the jamb was bent. Was moved to another one with an overwhelming smoke smell. Checking out was easy, however the person in front of me was advising over an issue in his room. The complementary coffee was empty, but I chose not to say anything to add to the drama the person behind the counter was dealing with. Building could use some updating and maintenance. When I initially found out I would be staying here I came straight to Yelp for reviews, and then I immediately started looking for other options but everything was booked as there was an event in town so Motel 6 became our only option. Upon checking in I just hoped for the best. It's definitely an older motel and not aesthetically pleasing from the outside but surprisingly the room was clean and updated with hard floors versus carpet. The room reeked of smoke, because the smoking room was all that was left. The pool was closed/non existent and the toilet couldn't even be bothered to have a lid on it, so one couldn't easily sit before a shower or put on socks like you know every other toilet that isn't in an office. read more

This is by far the WORST motel I have ever seen in my life. I booked this place through booking.com which by the way... NEVER book with them. They are so hard to get ahold of and not helpful at all. When I arrived at the motel, I was greeted nicely and got the keys to our room. When I got to the room... it was absolutely filthy and reeked of cigarettes. You could tell they didn't even try to clean the room!! There was literally brown spots in the shower and human hair... I didn't even touch the towels or linens because I was so scared of how long it had been since they were washed. There were stains on the walls and floors and the curtains were falling off the wall... I cannot believe this place is allowed to charge $268 for two nights!!! They should pay people to stay there because it's absolutely disgusting. We didn't even stay one night, we immediately booked at the quality inn next door which was amazing compared to the motel 6 dump hole. When I went to tell the gentleman at the front (who was nice initially) that I'm sorry but we do not feel comfortable staying here, can we please a refund... he kept telling us it shouldn't be a problem but to just cancel on booking.com and that his "manager" would refund in the morning. He didn't even try to argue that the room was filthy! We submitted a cancellation with booking.com and waited for the next day for his manager to cancel. Fast forward to the next day, no cancellation was ever approved. I called the motel four times to speak to the "manager" and the employees kept sending me on a wild goose chase! One said the manager would be in shortly and would call me and another said he would call the manager and that he would call me right back. I called back again two hours after that and the employee once again told me that he just needed to call the manager and then the manager would call me back. Still no call or confirmation of cancellation email... two more hours go by and still no contact from this "manager". I call the motel one last time around 4:30pm and the lady who refers to the manager as "EK" states that he has gone home for the day and that she would once again like all the other employees... take down my number and have him call me back when he got in at 6am the next morning. (Did I mention this is my birthday weekend and I've spent most of it dealing with this horrible motel!!!) Fast forward to the next morning... I call the motel and this time NO ANSWER. I'm under the impression that they probably recognize my number by now and are avoiding me. So at 6am!!! My husband and I drive over to the motel to hopefully speak to the manager in person. When we get there, the employee states he will call the manager to come right now to the front office. I felt so uneasy thinking about finally meeting this manager that has been avoiding my calls. The "manager" EK walks into the office... it's the man who helped us the first night!!! He lied about having to speak to the manager, he was the manager all along!! He proceeds to lie and said he already refunded all our money and that he spoke to booking.com.... However I just received an email from booking.com not even 10 mins prior stating they have still not received any emails from the manager confirming cancellation. He just keeps shouting that we will receive refund in two business days... then finally says he can provide us receipt of the refund... but then prints it out and it shows he only refunded us one night. When we ask about the rest of the money... he says he needs to talk to the owner again to confirm that we didn't stay there... we never even stayed in that motel room for longer than 10 minutes!!!! When we ask him to call the owner he says he can't until 11am. Then when we ask him to confirm with booking.com the cancellation and he lies and said he already did! I call booking.com to have them speak to him... he tells them he will email them back right away and call him back in 15-20 minutes... they call him back to find out he "left and won't be back for an hour". This guy is absolutely ridiculous! At 11am, we called back EK and he said the owner would not refund us and claimed we stayed for "four hours" when we did not stay at all! This is absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I highly recommended NOT staying here. I'm trying to get in touch with their corporate office to report how disgusting this place is. For future guests... the manager is EK and is a short Indian man who dresses in t-shirts and backwards hats (not anything like you would think a manager would dress). read more

This is seriously the WORST Motel 6 I've ever been to. My room was small, dingy and filled with old broken down furniture . Tv had a huge line running through it (see picture) the floors were filthy (see picture). When you lay in the bed you sink down because the mattresses are old and springs aren't good anymore. Sheets, pillow cases were white at one point in time but now are dingy and old. Guys hanging outside their rooms, drinking. I try not to judge people but it looked like it's a motel people go to when their released from jail. Dogs are allowed but they have no dog areas to relieve themselves, I had To take mine by the pool where they had some landscaping around the pool. I was booked for 4 nights but ended up checking out early. This is definitely a reminder of "you get what you pay for" motel. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

I went to check into my room with my 12 year old daughter after a long day of softball games. I had reserved my room through Expedia. I paid $94. When I arrived at the hotel they said they had charged my card at 6pm. What? How much? $124. The man said he could not refund the money. I asked him to call his manager because I was due back the over payment. He said he did and there was nothing he could do about it. Then he refused to give me the room key. I called Expedia and he refused to speak with them. I called the police and he then refunded my money in full. Another lady came out that had booked with Booking.con and said she was also over charged $40! They gave her back the $40 also. It's a scam!! Avoid this place!! read more

First the pros: the staff was very nice, the room was clean and the motel is fairly convenient to Prescott attractions. And it is pretty cheap to stay here. But this is a NOISY place. A trash truck shows up at 6:30 am 2-3 times a week to loudly empty the trash bins. Other guests tend to hang out by their cars to drink and smoke, sometimes late into the night. The walls are pretty thin so you hear people coming and going at all hours. Also, while I was here both ice machines were broken and two lights in my room had burnt out bulbs. So I'd say if you're a really heavy sleeper or an early riser, this is a place for you. read more

Motel 6 Ck in on Thursday late , a women in front of me was asking for a different room. I should have known. The room floor was dirty, but it was late. The bath towels are mini towels beds are full size no microwave or Freg. I had to ask for towels and then he told me to take the dirty towels end of the building there's a bin there. I just bought my own towels. I put the trash out know ever came by, I again asked he said I had to take it to the trash. I asked about cleaning he said no one cleans rooms until the 4 th day, the same day we leave. I never saw a cleaning person the 4 days we were there. The office was unattended every time I went in he was always walking the grounds, from the same direction. Not very friendly either. I will not be staying there again read more

I rented a room for my wife. First off they cancelled her reservation because she arrived after 6 pm. My wife was worried that she didn't have where to stay for the weekend. Secondly the room smells like pesticides, has bugs on the wall and dirty floors. During covid this place should be shut down. Lastly they have not cleaned my wife's room in two days. According to the front desk we must request room service. My wife has been forced to clean the room herself and doesn't even have toilet paper. I contacted booking.com where I reserved the room and they contacted the property. They refuse to offer any kind of compensation for our horrible experience. I will be reporting this hotel to the health department and letting our softball organization know so they never stay at this disgusting motel. read more

Yesterday 12-11 I was at Motel 6 in Prescott visiting with a family member that is staying at the motel. We overheard the lady that we had just seen at the front desk screaming and cussing at a guest at the Motel, calling guest names and then slammed the door. Very unprofessional and cant believe that she would talk that way to a guest. If employees talk to guests like that makes me wonder how fellow employees are treated. Worse motel stay I have ever had. Stayed for 3 days and our room was never cleaned nor fresh towels provided. Went to office to get fresh towels and they gave us floor mats for towels. We were told 3 maids quit same day so we were out of luck. Had to park unreasonably far away from room due to inadequate parking. On last night some drunk guest started pounding on our door and yelling at 1 am because he wanted someone to open his beer and woke up about a dozen guests in his drunken stupor. Oh and if that was not bad enough people would stand tight outside door of motel smoking so everytime you opened your door smoke poured into your non smoking room. If you want a good night's sleep this is not the place for you. read more

We have stayed here several times over the years whenever a fair or festival has brought us "north of the Valley" and we need a place for the night. Customer service has always been terrific. Rooms have been clean, bathroom and shower worked as they should, air/heat were great. Only gripe about this location is that it is sometimes difficult to park anywhere close to your room. This hotel has been cleaned up from what it used to be, it used to be the cheapest hotel in Prescott at $50 and some change a night. That building has been there since '74, and was "renovated" in 2015. Which means the rooms were gutted and new flooring put in, maybe new furniture, but still those rooms still arent worth $100/$200 a night, regardless of inflation, this hotel should still be the cheapest. By the way, the entire building needs a major overhaul, not just the rooms read more

If you're a smoker and you have dogs this is your place. I, however, am not a smoker, nor do I have dogs. We were able to change from a smelly room to another room the second day. Probably shouldn't put ashtrays in rooms if they're, "NON-SMOKING." Positively DISGUSTING! We stayed here once about 8 months ago and things looked OK on the surface, but upon arrival I removed my shoes and was only wearing a pair of white socks. After only thirty minutes the bottoms of my feet were absolutely black with filth. There is no carpeting, only fake hardwood floors. I was sitting on the bed with my feet up and my husband noticed it first. I stepped outside a few minutes later and saw a housekeeper. I said "Dang! It seems that someone forgot to mop our floor when they cleaned this room. "She informed me that they just sweep and don't mop. I thought that was kind of gross, but we were simply too tired to leave and find another hotel and it was only for one night so we just dealt with it. We came through town again last week and were low on funds, so we gave it another shot because it's cheap. We mentioned our last experience to the front desk clerk and she assured me that the room had JUST been cleaned by the Housekeeping Manager. When I walked into the bathroom I could not believe my EYES! There was vomit spattered on the floor and wall behind the toilet as well as a crusty washcloth in the corner! The toilet had nasty black streaks down the inside of the bowl. There was blood on the hand towel and the shower curtain was sticky with red mold! See the photos. The outside is disgusting. They have nowhere to put trash so it gathers underneath stair cases which is across from the rooms and it smells bad. They really need dumpsters out back. There were bugs and roaches everywhere: bed, wall, lobby, bathrooms... There were stains on the walls and showers, floors were sticky, beds were full of dirt, rooms smelled like mold and cigarettes. I had to pay $153 and I am not sure what the money gets used for.I am pretty sure they are breaking codes and need to be reported to BBB or health inspector. read more

This place is trash. I go to Prescott to work and have stayed there on 3 occasions only because I HAD to. Price gouging. Rates are ridiculous for what you get. Not even a microwave or fridge in your room. Room was subpar as far as cleanliness goes. Couldn't even walk around bare foot because the floors were not swept properly by housekeeping. Had to fight to open the electronic lock to even get in. When I complained about it, I was told "sometimes you have to play with the doors". Great solution. How about updating ur 1980s era doors huh? This place is unbelievably bad. I bought my reservation online with a credit card, got a confirmation number for a non smoking queen sized room. When we arrived I stood in the lobby unacknowledged while a crackhead dug for 12 cents in the bottom of her bag to pay the cashier behind glass. When it was finally my turn the guy behind the window asked for my name and reservation number. He also demanded the second party show ID. After we did this he rudely explained all they had was twin beds and a smoking room available. Also that the room I paid for was not clean nor going to be. I asked for my money back and he handed me a paper instructing me to contact booking.com for a refund because they were not affiliated or responsible. Never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life! I went to Apache Lodge for a delightful experience and heard they get lots of business from the failures of this Motel 6. Not to mention this Motel 6 was the dirtiest I've ever seen in my life. Do not go here unless you're desperate. read more
