I made the mistake of not booking a room ahead of time for an overnight trip to Spokane. The quality in was full up. Every hotel I called was full up. Except the motel 6. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The clientele....I made sure my car was locked. All of the outlets were loose, so the charging bricks kept falling out. The bathroom light quit working overnight. Checked in to 2 separate rooms with a friend. We checked in around 3pm, and took naps and washed up in our rooms for a couple of hours. We left for dinner, and when we returned there were people in my room. They said they were told to bring my stuff up to the desk and were checked into my room. The guy at the desk couldn't or wouldn't do anything for us. He kept saying it wasn't his fault because he didn't check us in. He didn't offer us any assistance beyond telling us it wasn't his fault, but wasn't it? He checked the other people into the room I was already checked into. My bags were missing my opiod pain medication and all of my travel snacks. I have never had a situation like this before at any hotel or motel. Will never return to any Motel 6. Do not recommend. Horrible customer service and a terrible experience. We drove the 4 hours back home, forgoing two days of our planned stay. read more

Listen, I know that no one will be surprised at a low rating for a Motel 6, but this one is extraordinarily bad. The front desk ignored the line of people because it was "shift change." Literally did not look for 45 minutes, until his replacement arrived at 1155PM. Externally security doors were broken, our room door had no lock, no light bulbs in the light fixtures and every hard surface was filthy. Smoke detector was covered with plastic wrap..the guy, Tom, said it was up there for painting but he would send someone down in the morning to remove. Because that makes sense. I booked this motel through AARP. I booked for 7-14 and 7-15. My mother was going to have surgery at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center on the morning of 7-15 @ 5 AM. The hospital put her up in a motel near the hospital. I have to pick her up and take her there. So the afternoon of 7-14 when I checked in I asked the clerk at the desk for a 4 AM wake-up call. Witch I never received. The clerk (Jorden) did credit my credit card $30.48 or at least I thought, the credit still hasn't shown on my credit card account. I also asked the clerk if I could get a couple of extra pillows. I did get them late afternoon on 7-15 after asking the other clerk at the desk Sam. Witch I explained to him I never received the 4 AM wake-up call. 7-15 After making sure my mother was taken care of, I went back to my room late afternoon around 3 PM. The room was not cleaned, the bed was not made, and I had no fresh towels in the bathroom. I went down to the office and explained to the clerk, Sam that the room was not cleaned. And that I still didn't get the extra pillows I asked for, and I had no fresh towels. I did bring the pillows but never brought the fresh towels as he said he was going to. I ended up having to go back and forth to the office several times. I got up that morning to use the restroom, then the toilet wouldn't flush. I ended up having to go down to the office once again to explain the toilet wouldn't flush. The clerk ended up moving me to a different room. I was so upset with the motel I checked out at 6 AM. I didn't go to the office to drop off the key card, I was afraid if I did, bad things would happen. The other thing that bothers me about the motel. You can't call the office from your room!? I'm sorry WTF is that? They probably know there are going to be complaints. My stay at this motel was horrible. I did end up calling AARP they said I would have to contact the motel if I wanted any compensation. I did call the main complaint line for Motel 6. While speaking with the repetitive, who did seem to me empathic (sounding) I don't think she was. She explained I would have to go through the model I stayed at to receive any compensation. She did try to call them. They did not answer the phone. Gee, no surprise. She said she would send them an email so they could get in contact with me. So far I have yet to hear from them. This is ridiculous. We booked through AARP to get a discount and a late 2pm check out. We got there and the room was completely dirty, hadn't been made up from prior guests. Let the front desk know, and she was a total asshole. Got into a different room, the entire room smelled like Ammonia and the hallways smelled like people smoking pills...high high traffic in the parking lot, obviously a lot of drug deals, some domestic violence fight, and multiple women prostatute. The front desk (bitch) banged on our door in the morning while we were calling corporate and teed at us to get "get the fuck out"...even though we had a late checkout...we informed her (for the 3rd time). We go down to the office, very upset with how rude she was, and demanded a full refund right then and there. She said "no" and called the cops. We also called the police for a reference number. While waiting, she kept threating me because she didn't like the way I opened the door....k have never met or seen this person ever....obviously she forgot to smoke her pills that morning. We got trespassed (we were patiently waiting for our refund---no problem taking our money .....)...and have since contacted the BBB, Spokane Regional Health District, and filled witness reports with the Spokane Police Dept. This motel is incredibly overpriced and the employees spend more time smoking outside than tending to the customers. We stayed there for 3 weeks and nobody came in and changed the bedding. The people behind the counter at the front desk would rather be on their phones than assist people. One person didn't even lift their head above the counter to see what we needed. The property is overrun with homeless drug addicts and it appears that the ones who can scrape together enough money to stay there are given better service than the people not on drugs. The hallways smell like what I think was fentanyl and nothing is done about it. The property itself has dead tree branches and there is no designated pet area or poop bags. I booked a room online for a short stay for a trip to Spokane Wa. Booked the room for Motel 6 like we have in the past. BIG MISTAKE!! I / we will never make that mistake again. We arrived a little early and we're able to receive our room key cards and info. We put all of our belongings in the room with no problem. After a short day of traveling around town we decided to go back to the hotel to get some rest. First problem, #1) My sister-in-law used the bathroom to do a #1 and low and behold, the toilet gets plugged. We made our way down to the office to tell them and all they did was hand us a plunger. WTF?? Look, I don't work here so, why aren't you going to our room to fix the problem? So, whatever, I took the plunger to do somebody's job that works there. Sorry I had to bother you from NOT doing anything but, playing on your dumbass phone. Soooo professional!! Don't worry, I got it unplugged for you. After that, we left to get some food. After arriving back to the motel problem #2) We walked inside of the room and my sister in law almost slipped and fell on the floor. Apparently, there was water on the floor that we couldn't see coming from the refrigerator leaking on the vinyl or cheap wood floor. We should have known something was up when there was a previous water stain from it before obviously. After this snafu, we walked back to the office and asked for some towels to sop up the water that was on the floor. Right as we were almost to the office, the door opens up and boom, we almost got ran over by someone on a hover board. After he gives us a ha ha and proceeds down the hall come to find out it's the general manager Brandon Powers. As he's riding down the hall he yells: they can help you, another worker in the office. We seen the other person in the office and asked her for some towels because we told her the refrigerator was leaking water and she proceeded to tell us that probably someone "unplugged" it. Really? Who? The motel 6 ghost? Because it damn sure wasn't us. We had items in the fridge so, why would we unplug it? "Ding, fry's are done"!! And furthermore, why would anyone in their right mind unplug a refrigerator? This worker was debating with us like she knew what the problem was without seeing or even going to the room. Apparently, that little tiny refrigerator, the one that didn't have a thermostat knob, was obviously going into defrost so, it wouldn't burn up the compressor. Hence, that is WHY there was water on the floor! Once we said we would use the towels in the room she said, you better not, because you will get charged for dirty towels. OMG...WHAT?? What do think people do after they use the shower? Air dry? No, you use towels. Are you gonna charge people for "dirt towels" after they take a shower?? Finally, she said, I'll give you some pool towels. Ok, fine, we will do your job again. We got back to the room and put the towels on the floor around the refrigerator. ( see pictures ) After that other snafu problem #3) We walked down to office and asked for extra pillows. The woman in the office asked what room and we told her and she said, ok, give me about 15 to 20 mins. Ok, fine. After roughly an hour, we went back down to the office AGAIN to ask were the pillows were and once we rounded the corner I looked out by the pool and she was outside "vaping". I told my sister in law: that's why you didn't get your pillows, she to busy "vaping". Once she seen us she said: can I help you? Yes, where are the pillows we asked for? Oh, sorry, "I got busy checking people in". Yup, sure you did. Looked pretty empty when we were down there both times. Why didn't you just say: I forgot plus, I had to go vape? We know, to much to remember. ( ever think of writing it down? ) NOPE...But, you didn't forget to vape or play on your dumb cell phone now did you? By now, we're use to it. Finally, after we just mentioned our issues to another person that worked there, she said, um no, I will room change you. OMG....THANK YOU!! Someone that finally feels our pain. After a room change, we got into that room. Problem #4) we got everything moved into the "new room". Once we got settled in we turned on the TV and guess what? Yuup, you guessed it, IT DIDN'T FU**ING WORK!! Ok, we're done at this point. I / we just gave up and went to bed and couldn't wait to check out! We're from Vegas and I can sure tell you that this Motel 6 is way beyond a dump! Fremont street here which is the old part of Vegas and can be pretty sketchy at times makes Fremont street hotels / motels look like the Taj Mahal or the Waldorf. That Motel 6 should either be torn down or fully renovated, which will never happen in this lifetime because the corporate people that buy these places don't give a shit and are only in it for the money!! First of all, we booked our reservation online. Who has a Motel 6 across the street from another Motel 6? These motels didn't leave many lights on for you. It's was shady, it me gave me an uneasy feeling and I don't scare very easily. Just to be clear, we stayed at the South Motel 6. -This is the WORST one I've ever stayed in and that says a lot. Walking in the room I noticed it had a strong chemical smell like gas and and a mixture of dirty ass. - Granted there was blood on the wall, there was bugs. The top comforter smelled like old lady's perfume. (GAG ME). - The floor was a dirty, my socks were teal and you could see the dirt on them before morning. (YUCK) - The bathroom door was nice and solid, and always swung closed. There must not be any heat in the bathroom because it was cold AF in there. The bathroom fan pulled the smell of cigarette smoke from another room into the bathroom. However, it's January and cold. I freeze with my circulation problem. The bathroom has a nice shower stool that is unusable because it is missing screws to be able to sit down and use it. The bed was a full-size mattress, it was ok to sleep on. - At 10:30AM I nearly jump out of my skin when a knock at the door like the cops, housekeeping. Are you checking out or staying another night. Couldn't they wait until 11? So, do I recommend this Motel 6. No I would recommend that it be knocked down and made into a parking lot. read more

This room was absolutely outrageous. I was very unpleased to see that I had been sitting on a blood stain, after lifting up my blanket. This room looked as if the person before me was drunk or on drugs, hence the smoke alarm being out of the wall. I also didn't enjoy having to walk downstairs to wait in a long line just to have the office worker be rude and come take pictures of the hole in our bathroom door. Not only was my room not ready once I had arrived, but the room was disgusting, stains on the curtains, dead insects on the floor, and stains on the bedsheets/towels. We had requested a non-smoking rooms which had been smoked in. Homeless people walking around digging through the trash cans asking for cigarettes. I was in town for a Federal test, and I assumed that Spokane was a podunk village on the Idaho border. I was not expecting a large city. So I pre-booked Motel 6 ahead of time, as I didn't know the first thing about location. To get to this location off the freeway is actually kind of a hassle, because you have to cross a very, very busy street, almost a highway, that has no lights, a blind turn off one direction, and plenty of traffic. Once there, though, I was checked in very promptly. The exact room I wanted (1 queen bed, no smoking) was available without any quibbling. I was asked if I wanted internet, and then I saw a sign that said it costs $2.99 a day. Kind of a rip-off, but I guess it is what it is. The motel itself is more what I would classify as a hotel, in that you go inside a corridor to get to your room. You don't enter your room off the parking lot, thus, hotel. Parking was incredibly ample, but almost dauntingly so. I was worried about my vehicle left out all alone, ripe for the picking, but more cars showed up later in the evening. The room itself was about what you'd expect. Small table with two chairs, dresser bureau, a bed, bathroom. No alarm clock, though, which I thought was odd, and the TV was rather tiny, 17" or so, and fuzzy. Got about twenty cable channels, with two HBO's. Sadly, Waterworld was on when I got there, but you can't really blame Motel 6 for that. The bathroom was very good, clean and large, with a super spacious shower with plenty of water pressure. Motel 6 soap is standard, and I hate it, it's always very greasy and leaves a film. If I stay in another Motel 6, I'll bring my own soap. Note to self. The bed was slightly below par. The sheets and blankets were very thin, as were the pillows. I mean, when you can see through the sheets to the mattress below, we're not talking luxury digs anymore. But the bed itself was rather comfortable, and except for adjusting the temperature in the room later that evening (due to the thin blankets), I slept just fine. So there it is. Nothing was horrible about this place, but nothing was truly spectacular. For $40, I got what was promised...a bed and a bathroom, with a fuzzy TV. read more

This will be a quick review as there's not much to say. This was a desperate attempt to get a good nights rest as the night I was relocating from the Midwest to the West Coast. It was my second 10 hour day of driving with another 10 hours to go the next day. The prior night was spent in a Walmart parking lot, so I felt like I needed to treat myself to a bed, but wanted to keep to a budget. I searched through various stand magazines found at rest stops and saw coupons for rooms. Motel 6 happened to be the cheapest at $49 a night for a queen, so I opted for that. I was only here for 8 hours at most. Everything was just gross. Nothing felt very sanitary. The sheets had that over-bleached starchy feeling to them. The decor was worn. The tv was small and COME ON people, it's 2016! WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE A SMALL TUBE TV!? The worse part is using a wash cloth for your face and finding hair that isn't yours. Ugh, nothing was great about this place but the price. You'll have to make that judgement call if it's worth your $49. For another $10 you can probably stay in a better establishment. This unit was just purchased back to be a motel 6 they sold it to knights inn and then just purchased it back and reopened it and I gotta tell you the place is really in sad shape even with the remodel. First room that they give us we walk in and the stinch was bad, and the rooms are freshly painted . I smelled the wall to see if it was the paint and it wasnt that. so we called the manager he come up and he says all the rooms have been closed up for a while. Next room was next door no smell. Question you claimed you remodeled. The door down the hall was dented from being kicked in, the free wifi only gave us one bar and wouldnt let messages send without timing out. Last week we stayed at the one in the valley it was much better. For a remodel this is a dump. We stay at the 6 to 5 times a year all west coast this is far the worst.should have not taken it back from nights inn. The pictures I posted was of the better room. Mold in shower mold shower wall, the toilet stains look like turd stains, and the beat up doors. None of this is to the standards of motel 6. I will contact the regional manager. This was one that I started reading into the reviews and got freaked out that we might be in an unsafe place. To my surprise, I was wrong. There were tons of complaints about strange people around, which we only experienced once. I was doing laundry when hubby texted me that a strange woman knocked on the door. Obviously, he didn't answer, and she moved on. By the time I got back to the room, she was nowhere to be seen. This is one of the few motel 6's I've stayed at that has interior corridors, which was only a little inconvenient for our dog who likes to bark at any sound outside. So the people moving around throughout the night caused a few growls here and there. Our bedsheets were the whitest I've ever seen, especially for a motel 6! The towels were a little ripped on the edge and stained - maybe choose a different color. My biggest complaint is definitely the bathroom. The shower is incredibly tiny - to the point of having to watch my elbows and hips to turn around to make sure I didn't bump anything. The parking lot was a little creepy - did worry about our car overnight but it was fine. Overall, the cleanliness was far better than I could've expected compared to the terrible ratings online. Due to flight issues I had to find a hotel near the Spokane, WA airport for a last minute to stay. The Motel 6 1508 S. Rustle Rd was unbelievably unsanitary. There were multiple large stains on the comforter of the bed and also on the sheets, mildew in the shower and what looked to be feces smeared on the wall with hair coming out of it.I have literally never seen such an unsanitary hotel room in my life. I've been using hotels.com for years and I have never stayed at such an unsanitary place.I took photos that were submitted to hotels.com. The also room reeked of cigarette smoke even though I booked nonsmoking. The uber driver that picked me up from there informed me that it is a hotel commonly frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers, something that was also confirmed by airport staff --which explained a lot with regards to the loud noises in the night. If I hadn't missed the last flight so late at night I would have never stayed there. It has been a bad experience for me and they were not able to refund me because I had not complained directly to the lady at reception. My room's phone had all the numbers wiped off of it (probably with bleach) and I didn't want to make the trip down those creepy dark hallways back to reception so late at night. read more

Airport Spokane location is no exception, there is a nice pool which is the perfect temperature after a long day of driving during the heat of the summer. I'm a frequent traveler and have stayed in many a Motel 6 in the Northwest region of the United States. Comparatively, this Motel 6 is in seriously sad shape - disgusting stains on the hallway carpet, NO AIR CONDITIONER, ...they have a seriously antiquated air temperature control system in the room that only operates for a few minutes then shuts off. Shower...stained, a very small single standing unit. And the smell? When you walk into the reception area you know right away you've stepped into a building that has not been refurbished since the 80's because you can still smell the stench of lingering cigarettes. As I walked along the shabby hallway and up the stairwell (there are NO ELEVATORS in this motel), the stench lingered. Thankfully, my room was OK - bearable for an evening's stay. After the receptionist's fine service (Jermaine? The only saving grace here) I remember pondering as I walked across the parking lot towards my room, why were there so many windows left wide open? So many rooms, curtains pulled back, lights on..a brightly lit fish bowl. In one room I could see a man laying in bed, watching TV...in his skivvies. I thought, you've got to be kidding me... but when I opened the door to my room, and tried to turn on the air conditioner, I was left with no option. A mere 1 or 2 minutes of air. Mystery solved. Thankful for the 2nd floor privacy, and with windows wide open, even the reflection from this computer screen now makes me vulnerable to that brightly fish-bowl effect to anyone meandering through the parking lot below. It's fricken hot, and its midnight. No choice but to bear this pathetic motel. My advise? If you have a choice, DO NOT book this motel! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. We stayed here August long weekend, and they cancelled our reservation for the Friday night with no explanation. We got there Friday morning (2am) after driving 22hrs. I had the confirmation number, the email we sent, and they had no record of it. I tried phoning the reservation line, which was closed, the staff was useless and unsympathetic, and did nothing as the hotel was booked (along with all the hotels in Spokane. So we had to sleep in the car that night. The next day even we did check in, I was tempted to go back to our car. The Queen sized bed we booked, was a double, and had stains on the carpet. The sheets were made from see through sand paper, very scratchy and the bed was very uncomfortable. When we phone customer support to complain, they were somewhat sympathetic and told us repeatedly that it was independently owned and operated taking no ownership of the situation. We were told that we would be emailed to follow up with our concerns. Which did happen and offered us a coupon for a free night. It was a form letter and stated numerous times that it was independently owned and operated. And that the owner of the hotel would contact us. If course we declined and promised to never stay there again. About 2 weeks later received another form letter from the "owner" however they provided no contact info and when we tried to email them back the email bounced back undeliverable. You'd be better to stay in a homeless shelter! read more

Dis-GUSTING! took 10 minutes before anyone was upfront to check us in, there was vomit in the hallway and our bedroom sheets were stained. When we went to the front, and talked to the receptionist about the sheets she was extremely defensive and pointed at out that there was a stain on my boyfriends shirt so we shouldn't be too worried about the stains. I know it's a motel 6 but damn I don't want to feel grossed after sleeping and staying somewhere. It was just all around a bad experience with a defensive, rude receptionist who just wanted to make excuses and argue. I didn't want to go all "karen" on it but I think you should be allowed to expect a certain level of cleanliness and customer service no matter where you're staying or the quality of the place. Also the fact that Covid-19 is such a big deal right now and there is bodily substances on the floor that clearly hasn't been taken care of in a few hours and isn't being given the attention it deserves is just not right and no establishment should be settling for this read more

Don't bother wasting your money and precious sleep as this place was awful. The heat wouldn't work, the place was not clean, everything was so loud as you could hear everybody and everything around you. I would have slept better if I was outside on the sidewalk...but I probably would have been mugged and dragged off to die in a ditch. read more

Wow if I could give this motel 0 stars I would. There were stains all of the bed and lots of disgusting hairs. It seemed like the sheets have never been washed. Every guest was unfriendly and gave off a horrible vibe. The pizza delivery guy whispered good luck as he walked out. Quickly got up and stayed at the quality inn(which was amazing compared to this crap shoot). Do not stay here no matter what. It was the worst motel experience of my life. Felt threatened the entire time. Cops showed up to deal with situations multiple times in one night. read more

Missing fire alarm cover, parts too the blinds, and theres a hold (punched assumed) in the back of the door too the bathroom.
