Wish or hope Yelp would implement a zero or negative review / rating for places and restaurants ect..so we could leave. First off, I will implement my own 0 ZERO RATING. I booked a room online for a short stay for a trip to Spokane Wa. Booked the room for Motel 6 like we have in the past. BIG MISTAKE!! I / we will never make that mistake again. We arrived a little early and we're able to receive our room key cards and info. We put all of our belongings in the room with no problem. After a short day of traveling around town we decided to go back to the hotel to get some rest. First problem, #1) My sister-in-law used the bathroom to do a #1 and low and behold, the toilet gets plugged. We made our way down to the office to tell them and all they did was hand us a plunger. WTF?? Look, I don't work here so, why aren't you going to our room to fix the problem? So, whatever, I took the plunger to do somebody's job that works there. Sorry I had to bother you from NOT doing anything but, playing on your dumbass phone. Soooo professional!! Don't worry, I got it unplugged for you. After that, we left to get some food. After arriving back to the motel problem #2) We walked inside of the room and my sister in law almost slipped and fell on the floor. Apparently, there was water on the floor that we couldn't see coming from the refrigerator leaking on the vinyl or cheap wood floor. We should have known something was up when there was a previous water stain from it before obviously. After this snafu, we walked back to the office and asked for some towels to sop up the water that was on the floor. Right as we were almost to the office, the door opens up and boom, we almost got ran over by someone on a hover board. After he gives us a ha ha and proceeds down the hall come to find out it's the general manager Brandon Powers. As he's riding down the hall he yells: they can help you, another worker in the office. We seen the other person in the office and asked her for some towels because we told her the refrigerator was leaking water and she proceeded to tell us that probably someone "unplugged" it. Really? Who? The motel 6 ghost? Because it damn sure wasn't us. We had items in the fridge so, why would we unplug it? "Ding, fry's are done"!! And furthermore, why would anyone in their right mind unplug a refrigerator? This worker was debating with us like she knew what the problem was without seeing or even going to the room. Apparently, that little tiny refrigerator, the one that didn't have a thermostat knob, was obviously going into defrost so, it wouldn't burn up the compressor. Hence, that is WHY there was water on the floor! Once we said we would use the towels in the room she said, you better not, because you will get charged for dirty towels. OMG...WHAT?? What do think people do after they use the shower? Air dry? No, you use towels. Are you gonna charge people for "dirt towels" after they take a shower?? Finally, she said, I'll give you some pool towels. Ok, fine, we will do your job again. We got back to the room and put the towels on the floor around the refrigerator. ( see pictures ) After that other snafu problem #3) We walked down to office and asked for extra pillows. The woman in the office asked what room and we told her and she said, ok, give me about 15 to 20 mins. Ok, fine. After roughly an hour, we went back down to the office AGAIN to ask were the pillows were and once we rounded the corner I looked out by the pool and she was outside "vaping". I told my sister in law: that's why you didn't get your pillows, she to busy "vaping". Once she seen us she said: can I help you? Yes, where are the pillows we asked for? Oh, sorry, "I got busy checking people in". Yup, sure you did. Looked pretty empty when we were down there both times. Why didn't you just say: I forgot plus, I had to go vape? We know, to much to remember. ( ever think of writing it down? ) NOPE...But, you didn't forget to vape or play on your dumb cell phone now did you? By now, we're use to it. Finally, after we just mentioned our issues to another person that worked there, she said, um no, I will room change you. OMG....THANK YOU!! Someone that finally feels our pain. After a room change, we got into that room. Problem #4) we got everything moved into the "new room". Once we got settled in we turned on the TV and guess what? Yuup, you guessed it, IT DIDN'T FU**ING WORK!! Ok, we're done at this point. I / we just gave up and went to bed and couldn't wait to check out! We're from Vegas and I can sure tell you that this Motel 6 is way beyond a dump! Fremont street here which is the old part of Vegas and can be pretty sketchy at times makes Fremont street hotels / motels look like the Taj Mahal or the Waldorf. That Motel 6 should either be torn down or fully renovated, which will never happen in this lifetime because the corporate people that buy these places don't give a shit and are only in it for the money!! Wreaks of SMOKE!

Airport Spokane location is no exception, there is a nice pool which is the perfect temperature after a long day of driving during the heat of the summer.

Unfortunately, their experience was genuinely awful. They dropped off their luggage and went out with friends. When they returned later that night and pulled back the sheets to get into bed, they found pubic hair on the bedding. They immediately called the front desk to report it. They were told someone would come up with fresh sheets. When staff finally arrived, all they brought was a single top sheet -- wet and smelling strongly of bleach. The employee left before my parents could say anything else, and no additional bedding was provided. They had no choice but to put the damp, bleach‑smelling sheet on the bed and try to sleep. My mom ended up with a rash that lasted four days from that sheet. They have tried calling multiple times since to speak with someone about the situation, but no one has returned their calls.

We stayed on the top floor facing north with a view below of the First Interstate Center which is a short journey using the covered skywalk. It wasn't busy at this time in early February and the common areas were quiet, though we've been there during New Year's Eve when it's pretty bustling. We usually book the Penthouse King Suite with fireplace, which is as spacious as a small apartment with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette/bar area with mini fridge. Rooms have always been spotless. The bed is super comfortable. Robes are provided as well as extra blankets. We always bring our own Firestick with us when we travel, but we've noticed in every room that we've ever stayed at here that the TV input is not able to be changed to accommodate plugging into the HDMI port. Table 13 restaurant was closed for renovations, but the dining lounge was open and we get consistently good service and food at a reasonable price there. Room service breakfast for two cost about $70 (including service fee and tip) for a full breakfast entree, a fruit plate, and a kid's plate of pancakes. I wish that parking was more economical. At $28 per night, it's a bit steep. For comparison, we stayed the next night at the nearby Montvale Hotel where parking is $10 in their lot. Overall a very nice hotel and conveniently located in downtown Spokane.

Located on the south side of the river and what appears to be the heart of downtown, it was relatively easy to get to, and literally across the street from where we were seeing a show. The place is really large with something like 14 or 15 levels, and a room that we very much enjoyed! The beds were large, the mattresses were really nice and the view was lovely! The shower was also quite solid. It was one that did not have a door, but was fashioned such that you didn't get water all over the bathroom floor. It also had one of the best showerheads we've ever experienced! It was like getting sprayed off with a warm hose. It was a bummer that they didn't have a pool and hot tub here, but the workout facilities were really nice, and if you are looking for a pool, staying here, you get access to the pool and hot tub at the sister hotel downtown. We didn't make use of it, but it's a nice offer. We were about five minutes from downtown, and walked to a couple of restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Parking was easy with an option for self parking or valet. The parking garage was connected to the building, and overall made things very easy. I really went back-and-forth between a four and five on this property, but overall it was a really nice spot with nice amenities and the pool was really the only thing that was lacking. It gets the five star bump!

It's easy to get to but there are pros and cons to that - as it's in a very popular area, with a college nearby, tons of restaurants with zero tables (all reserved, even in the middle of the week), and just a medium walk to the big Riverside mall and the famous Spokane falls, not to mention an events center where, apparently, a major concert was happening on the night of our stay (thus the sold out-ed-ness of everything, I guess?). Bummer about the crowdedness and the busyness. Very cool about the gorgeous hotel, the premium lobby with the most delicious lemonade water we have ever had, and free cookies, the comfy room with a sliding door onto the grass so we could easily walk the dog. We heard rumors about this being one of Spokane's most haunted hotels and I can see how one might get a vibe that there's presence in the hotel. It was built in 1899, was abandoned for decades, and renovated. They did a beautiful job keeping up the historic aspects of the furnishings, and even the music in the halls was a little spooky. But rest assured, there were no spirits haunting our unit! Our room was adjacent to the Events Center and the building is structured such that we didn't hear the noise from the event going on at the time unless we put our ear to their door down the hall. It is easy to get lost because our room was in the 300's numbers but on the second floor, while other rooms in the 300's are on the third floor. There are two sets of elevators that take you to different parts of the connected buildings. If you're looking for the fitness center in the basement, don't use the elevator from the lobby or that will put you into the restaurant below. The amenities were great. It was like an entire apartment with a full kitchen and all the kitchenware to make it feel like home, plus it had a walk-in pantry. There was a big screen TV in every room and it was easy to hook up our own Firestick. I wished it had a second bathroom, and more hangers, as it does accommodate 4 people. The shower could use a shelf -- you have to put your bath toiletries on the floor of the shower. Bath robes and decor throughout made it cozy. The water vapor electric fireplace was a nice touch in the living room and we had a north facing view of the city surroundings. There was a dedicated room for washer and dryer, and they provide the detergents. The parking lot is small (about 15 spaces), and there's an overflow lot further away. There are several entry/exit doors on both First Av and Monroe St so that's a little confusing, but load in at the front entrance. It's conveniently located near the Fox and Bing theaters and several dining options. Our stay included free breakfast at Rosie's Restaurant. Overall a very nice stay!
