She stumbled upon a few of these local stores that have maternity items that she can try on and it really made her day. She was able to find a number of clothes both for now as well as nursing shirts and dresses for afterwards. Having a place like this is also great because you're supporting local businesses. Additionally, they had a little space out front with some free items for those stopping by. Various clothes that can really brighten your day.

When I inquired about a few dresses on the floor, she said they were only for rent (why not put them with the rest of the runway items, then?). When I was checking out, the salesperson made a comment that one of the items I was purchasing came in damaged so she just jerry-rigged it back together. Overall, I was pretty disappointed this time around.

I'm not sure why there are items on the floor that are not for sale - seems counterintuitive to have them in a place where people can browse. The store itself is incredibly small -- I felt somewhat claustrophobic in there, especially when the wait for the fitting rooms took a while. All in all, it might be worth checking out if you happen to be in the area when it's open. I wouldn't make any special trips there though.

With Thyme Maternity (which I have NEVER been disappointed with) they include a return shipping label and THEY cover the cost IF I need to return. Once Upon a Child isn't perfect. The staff is hit or miss, and some items are in better condition than others, but it's a gold mine for children's toys, clothes, and much, much more. You can find all the boots, and gloves, and hats, and toys, and more, at very affordable prices. The sheer size of the selection is mind-boggling coming from NYC, where space is so limited. I understand that you want to buy some nice, new clothes for your kids every once in a while, but (1) you can find some new or nearly new stuff here and (2) they've got to wear clothes every day, and they outgrow stuff in a week. I had a terrible experience at this location, I called in…read morethe morning before I arrived at the store. They told me the wait time and the container the items would have to be in. I prepared everything and drove 1 hour and 20 minutes, just to be told that they won't accept my container cause there was a crack down the side of it, which happened while I was struggling to open the door to enter the store. No worker offered to help me get through the door despite watching me struggle and then no worker greeted me on top of that. Just stared and watched as I approached the counter. I put my bin down and she said 'she can't accept the clothes cause the container was torn' I tried to explain that I don't live near to grab another container and she said I could go buy one across the street. I am very disappointed cause my baby clothes were new with tags still on and I know they would have taken at least half of the clothes... I will never use this business again. Terrible customer service. I almost started crying and they just stared at me. And told me that most people call ahead for that type of information and I did! I called when they opened. I had everything ready, I cant control that my hands were full and the door at their location was heavy and cracked my container. Just an awful experience.

Emailed for tracking # so I could be there to receive the dress since their tracking app doesn't work. No response. Over the course of a month left several emails, social media messages (instagram & facebook), & tried to leave voicemails on the phone # listed on facebook. No one ever replied, I never got a tracking number, and NEVER GOT MY DRESS. Ended up disputing it with the credit card company. I understand that it might be a small business & orders could take longer, but I think the lack of contact sucked. I'd leave zero stars if yelp would let me.

Okay so, this is gonna be a long one…read more TLDR; not a scam but do not trust the shipping time, it's much longer than advertised. Initially, I had left 2 other reviews indicating this place being a scam, however THEY ARE NOT and I have since edited them to reflect accurately. With that being said; I initially purchased my dress on 8/31/24. This was advertised with a delivery time of no more than 10 days. (It was probably shorter than that but I can't remember now). This dress was intended to be a last minute bridesmaid dress but the delivery time was supposed to give more than enough time, however, that was not the case. I was 1 of 5/6 bridesmaids who purchased this dress, all of us different dates of arrival and different shipping and delivery locations. At one point, 1 bridesmaid had this dressed shipped from Poland. Mine was shipped from Florida. Still not too sure what was going on with that. When reaching out to customer service, the person I spoke with was kind and respectful, but another bridesmaid received rude responses to the effect of "too bad you didn't tell me this was for a wedding". (IMHO if you advertise something it should be honored) but this was not my direct experience. Maybe they have multiple people working this line, maybe it's just one person, who knows. Anyway, my dress didn't arrive in the Seattle area until the 23rd, 2 days after the wedding I was in and 4 days after i flew out of state to attend. I REALLY REALLY wanted to wear this dress. It would've been a dream! That being said, 2 bridesmaids DID receive the dress and wore it to the wedding and it was GORGEOUS. I am not mad at the price, the dress is worth it, my only issue is the advertised shipping time and the lack of ... everything customer service. I'm assuming this is a start up site and so my heart is able to give way to human error, such as delayed response times and things, but the advertised shipment is an absolute need for change. The retailer does not provide accurate shipping and tracking info which should be changed due to the price people pay for the merchandise. Again, I am reviewing my experience, the stress of the purchase is what tanked my experience. Otherwise the product itself, I am satisfied with. To the shipper, you're doing great in regards to advertisement and product, that alone should boost your brand but the other stuff I've mentioned please take into consideration for consumers. Lastly, while the air takes custom measurements, ours were not custom. They were standard cut sizes. The site does state that they do not process refunds for those with tailored measurements. This added into the issue because when I requested a refund, the seller said they could not do so because the dress was shipped. They were unable to confirm in any capacity that this was true.
