Have had the pulled pork sandwich and potato salad very good. Also have had the peach cobbler good also. Would recommend this place.

Spent $50 for a to go order on a meat stuffed potato, 2 additional meats and the street corn. What a disappointment all around ! We got it home and it was SO GREASY! Not sure what they consider street corn but this wasn't it. There was no seasoning and no flavor. Tasted like corn cooked in a ton of oil. Everything else was ok, nothing special. I would spend the extra money and go into McKinney or Farmersville for better BBQ. read more

My hub placed a to-go order at the window and brought it home for us to share. It was our first visit, so we tried the meats:. 1 lb brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, 1/2 lb pork ribs, 1/4 lb regular sausage and 1/2 lb spicy sausage. The brisket is fatty, but it's juicy and very tasty. The ribs were my favorite, fell off the bone, great smoky flavor. The sausages didn't have any snap, but were easy to chew. Had goid flavor. The spicy isn't very spicy. Not sure I'd be able to differentiate in a blind taste test. The pulled pork was least favorite. It almost dissolved in my mouth. I needed some chew to it. It had okay flavor. I'm sure it'll be good in a b-fast taco tomorrow morning. They offer an original sauce, sweet sauce and a spicy sauce. We only tried original and spicy. Both good. Spicy wasn't too spicy. We will 100% visit again. The bill for that order was $63. They do have family meal packs and specials they run. Check FB for those details. read more

Being new residents to the area, we were stoked to try this place for lunch yesterday. We were beyond disappointed. The brisket was mostly fat and not edible. That's usually my go to, so to not be able to eat the main show was sad. We spent over $100 to try the ribs and sausage with a variety of sides and desserts...and they didn't include any barbecue sauce. I had even included it on the notes and special instructions. We decided to try this new addition to Princeton and we were pleasantly surprised! From the friendliness of the owner to the taste of the food, this really is a place you need to try. We didn't get any sides, since we have three kids who don't like normal bbq sides, but we got a 1/2 pound of 5 different meats and I will break them down one by one. Pulled pork: maybe the best pulled pork I have had since moving down to Texas. It was pulled to perfection and it really packed some good flavor. Paired with either the sweet or original sauce, it didn't lose its flavor and made a super good bite. Sausage: this sausage was my wife's favorite of the bunch. It has a kielbasa flair to it, and was super good on its own or paired with their sauces. We really got a lot of it. My kids really liked it as well (which is saying something if you know them). Turkey: My only complaint was that it was dry. Flavor was on point and paired with the sauces you could barely tell. Ribs: we were split on these but my son and I both agree these were pretty dang good. I loved the rub they put on them (way better than the Traeger rub I used on mine last week). My wife didn't like the texture, as they were not fall off the bone. These definitely had a tug on them, but were really meaty, and the flavor was SO good. I am a big stickler for ribs as so many big chains can't seem to get them right. These were done right. I am also jealous of their rub. Brisket: this was my sons favorite. I will omit my thoughts here as I am not a fan of brisket (at all) so it isn't super fair for me to judge. Everyone else loved it. My son REALLY loved it. Most of that half pound is in that 6 year old stomach right now. Overall, they had something for everyone. They were friendly, relatively quick (since it is one guy in there and we ordered a bunch) and best of all DELICIOUS! The food was delicious until I found a foreign object in my 1/2 eaten chopped beef sandwich. I went back to the window and showed it to the girl (who was very nice). She showed it to the guy sitting by the back door. He looked at the sandwich and told her it's "just a piece of saran wrap the beef was wrapped in". She relayed the message and asked what I wanted to do. I told her I wanted my sandwich because it was good. He proceeded to wrap a half sandwich, place it in a bag and that is what they presented me with. Not an apology, a fresh whole sandwich, refund, complimentary item, NOTHING! Sir... this is NOT how you handle business. Accept accountability, apologize, and do whatever it takes to make it right. Treat your customers right especially considering I could have died right there in your parking lot due to your negligence of removing all foreign items from your food. read more

Pretty sure the great reviews are the result of small town small business support. I've never had a spud from a BBQ joint that wasn't stuffed to the brim with meat and only enough sauce to drizzle on top. Lackluster. Also, I watched the guy chopping the brisket to prep the potato and he discarded the fatty ends BBQ blasphemy. If you're gonna get a potato with meat just order the spud alone and order the .5lb of meat on the side, you'll make out better in the long run. And get extra sauce because the bland potato to topping ratio gets really boring after a few bites. Also tried the jalapeño sausage... again, not terrible, not great. Springy and tender, but salty and not much spice. They didn't give me enough sauce to have with it, only the potato drizzle one ounce (cup holds 2oz) cup. Not sure if the spicy sauce is really even spicy, gets too drown out in the potato. Prefer Redwines just a couple more miles down 380. read more

LET ME PUT YALL ON!!! First off, amazing service. So, so friendly! These Texas Twinkie's are to die for! And the cowboy elote oh my goodness. Slap your grandma in the face good. Really good bbq at a fair price. Bark on the brisket is excellent. Baked potato with meat on top is enough for 2 people. It's huge! We also love the Cole slaw because it is not sweet at all. Goes well with the Q. Seating is outdoors only so plan on getting it to go or dining at one of their picnic tables. Great value! read more

We tried their brisket and ribs. The brisket was covered in grease, there was literally a puddle of grease under the brisket and the ribs smelled and tasted spoiled, so we could not eat any of the food. We've eaten tons of BBQ from many different place, so we know that was not normal. read more

They have all the typical selections you would expect from any of their competition with a couple of extraordinary bonus items. 1. The meat stuffed potato is enough food to feed two adults. Absolutely overflowing with whatever meat you choose, unlike the skimpy portions you see elsewhere. 2. The Brisket Chili is delicious and costs next to nothing. 3. Brisket Tacos, my favorite item on the menu. Flour tortilla is made in house and tastes homemade, that is topped with a generous amount of brisket, shredded cheese and sour cream. 4. Finally, Banana Pudding. Creamy, good, and a perfect compliment BBQ meal. read more

My husband and I ordered brisket, chopped brisket, Cajun Corn, and Texas Twinkies. Everything was fresh and delicious. Ones BBQ sauce can make or break a rating in my option. It was homemade and perfect to taste. We tried each one they offered and they were efinitely on point. This place is a family owned and operated business and could tell by the quality of their food. I believe hands down their food was one of the best we've eaten in a very long time. Props to the owners and son for bringing a BBQ place that reps our good ole state of Texas. We tried this little BBQ place and so glad we did. It was really good. We had Brisket, which was not too wet or dry. It had great smoke flavor. We also had the spicy sausage. It was really good and a huge portion on a sandwich. It wasn't as spicy but you got the heat at the end. The original bbq sauce was on point too, tangy and great flavor. They have a sweet bbq sauce but we didn't try it. The buns the bbq was on was toasted and buttered, I really appreciate when places do this. It just shows the time and quality they put into their products. We tried their potato salad, homemade and good! Lastly, we had their Texas Twinkies, bacon wrapped jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and brisket- well made! They have three tables outside to enjoy your food. We will be back! If you want a quick fix for a bbq crave and live in Princeton, then this place works. However, if you're going to spend money on multiple pounds of meat, id go elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, everything I've had was good but nothing great.I think this is more of a hobby for the ownership with the size of the shack, not being open a couple days of the week, and items not being available/offered on consist basis took this down a star but the service and proximity brought it up to a 4. So glad we found this place! We had a few pounds of various meats and were impressed, so we bought a smoked ham from them for New Year, to be picked up on New Year's Eve. They ended up closing that day due to the weather, and instead delivered the ham to our door (talk about service!). We just finished eating, and the first thing I wanted to do was hop on here, and leave a review. The ham was EXCELLENT. One of the better hams I've had, in my life. Very nice little food truck with a variety of BBQ style entrées.. We tried the ribs, pulled pork,/brisket and it was all good.
