I was out here in the Princeton area and felt like having breakfast, this out of the way diner was great. The ordering style is something I'm not accustomed to with a restaurant. I walked up to the counter, the American breakfast was recommended. The potatoes were done with a little crisp and I love the seasoning they used. It comes with eggs, potatoes, choice of meat and a pancake, or waffle, or French toast, or regular toast. I chose the pancake and of course I added toppings. I ordered a water and coffee. They give you the mug and point you to the direction to fill your drinks. Once you pay, you'll get a number and they bring the food to you. read more

I've lived in Princeton for about 6 years. I have been to Jocy's plenty of time during a Professional Development Day. I usually stick to my usual of the chicken club sandwich or a Caesar salad..extra dressing...yum. But tonight I wanted some hearty..been under the weather lately...I needed something solid. OMG!! This was the BEST chicken fried chicken I've ever had. As soon as I open the box the aroma of this plate was amazing. Chicken ...crispy and tender..cut like butter Mashed potatoes...mashed just right... String green beans...usually not a fan but the seasoning on these was great...and the crunch of eat bite... Best tacos I've ever had! We drove 45 minutes to Farmersville to get our 2 puppies neutered. We were told it would be about 6-8 hours before we could pick them up. So we decided to stop at Jocy's for lunch. It looked like a hole in the wall restaurant. It was like going back in time when you can hear the kitchen crew from the dining room; the loud clanging of pots and pans, a pretty dated dining room (but clean) and some tear on the upholstery (adds character in my opinion ) and business ads laminated on all the tables. We didn't expect much but then....it was LOVE AT FIRST BITE! Their soft tacos were so good! We also ordered French fries and it was so well seasoned, served hot and crispy! So does this mean I have to now drive 45 minutes to get me some yummy soft tacos? Heck yes! read more

Such a cute hole in the wall place! We came in for a chill lunch and you just go up to the counter, order and they bring your food to the table. I got a few tacos and some fruit and the tacos were yummm! And they were freshly cooked. Everyone was really nice in there and it was just great place for some chill food for a good price. read more

I placed an order online yesterday only to find out my order would be delivered in the morning and not yesterday evening. Apparently they were too busy and I wasn't even able to call the number listed for them. Then this morning when I got my order, I had no cake so I was out five bucks for the cake. I was very disappointed because I wanted my meal yesterday evening not this morning. Apparently they stop taking orders online when they're busy in the restaurant and won't deliver that day. So beware people this can happen to you. read more

Originally when opening this place was good but over the past few years the quality of some of the workers on several occasions isn't there. The young woman taking orders isn't friendly and hasn't ever acted like a typical order taker. Ordered breakfast At first she said There's no options for no pork with your eggs. Then said I could have a side instead. My bill was 24.01 I payed 25.00 cash. She started to give me back .99 cents in change. I said don't give me .99 cents back She insisted she was going to pull all that change out and give it to me rather than give me a dollar back. I said you're not giving me .99 cents back are you? I said if you do I won't ever come back here. She seemed happy to have one less customer interrupt her day. She said she will get fired if she is a penny off. I said , I don't want the .99 cents just keep the .99 in your drawer for When you have someone else that may need a penny. And I'm not bringing any of my people there again. read more

The food and people were great here. The family and I stopped in for supper one evening. I had the Ruben, the boys had the blue cheese burger and my daughter had the grilled cheese. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no upcharge to sub sweet potato fries. My one complaint and the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is because it was hot as heck in there. read more

Ok This is one of the only restaurants in Princeton TX We usually come in the morning for breakfast... this is my first time coming in the evening... Just a suggestion to the owner... your staff in the evenings is little to be desired... usually in AM the staff if familiar with the menu... but , to be fair... maybe this evening this new young man might be new 1/27/23... Not sure but he seriously needs some training! Please give a chance and please train him...r you will loose customers read more

I've enjoyed eating at Jocys for the past 5 years that I have lived in Princeton. The food is always fantastic and fresh. Their American breakfast with eggs, meat choice, their perfect delicious breakfast potatoes, and pancakes are one of my top fav! The Migas is my go to, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, my self control goes out the window and I eat the entire plate. With chorizo, eggs, and all the other goodness mixed in, you can't go wrong ! The chicken fried chicken is another good one! And the burgers are the best in town! My husband loves the bbq slaw burger more than anything! The staff is kind, and I see them working hard to keep the establishment running smoothly for the town of Princeton ! If you haven't tried it yet, you won't regret it ! read more

We had the pimento cheese spread, two orders of the chicken fried steak and two orders of redfish. Everything was spectacular. We can't wait to go try other items on the menu. While waiting for our table we wondered up to the 3rd floor. They had live music. The place was jumping up there. We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. He was rude and severely lacking in communication skills. If anything else had me "meh" I would have taken stars away but everything else made up for his shortcomings.

Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. Nice building and staff working hard - just set your expectations accordingly.
