We decided to try this new addition to Princeton and we were pleasantly surprised! From the…read morefriendliness of the owner to the taste of the food, this really is a place you need to try. We didn't get any sides, since we have three kids who don't like normal bbq sides, but we got a 1/2 pound of 5 different meats and I will break them down one by one. Pulled pork: maybe the best pulled pork I have had since moving down to Texas. It was pulled to perfection and it really packed some good flavor. Paired with either the sweet or original sauce, it didn't lose its flavor and made a super good bite. Sausage: this sausage was my wife's favorite of the bunch. It has a kielbasa flair to it, and was super good on its own or paired with their sauces. We really got a lot of it. My kids really liked it as well (which is saying something if you know them). Turkey: My only complaint was that it was dry. Flavor was on point and paired with the sauces you could barely tell. Ribs: we were split on these but my son and I both agree these were pretty dang good. I loved the rub they put on them (way better than the Traeger rub I used on mine last week). My wife didn't like the texture, as they were not fall off the bone. These definitely had a tug on them, but were really meaty, and the flavor was SO good. I am a big stickler for ribs as so many big chains can't seem to get them right. These were done right. I am also jealous of their rub. Brisket: this was my sons favorite. I will omit my thoughts here as I am not a fan of brisket (at all) so it isn't super fair for me to judge. Everyone else loved it. My son REALLY loved it. Most of that half pound is in that 6 year old stomach right now. Overall, they had something for everyone. They were friendly, relatively quick (since it is one guy in there and we ordered a bunch) and best of all DELICIOUS! Not to mention we spent half of what we would a couple miles down the street (you all know who I am talking about). Thank you for bringing your talents to Princeton. We will be back!

I was not disappointed and this will be my go to bbq spot in this area. Highly recommend and well worth the try. Great service and customer friendly. This is what what we tried: Ribs: 10/10 tender, juicy, flavorful, you can taste the passion and the developed technique. Jalapeno cheddar sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, seasoned just right, great quality, good snap. Cheddar and jalapeno is balanced. Very distinct and not one you can find just anywhere. Beef sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, great snap, great quality and also one you can't dine just anywhere. Potatoe salad: 8/10 creamy, potatoes well cooked not over cooked, good ingredients. I would have preferred a bit more seasoning and mustard. Bbq beans: 8/10 beans and ground meat based. Nice flavor, creamy, and good quality. I would have like a bit more seasoning. I did add some spicy bbq sauce and the chopped onions provided with the meal. That brought them up to a 10. Collard greens: 8/10 Smokey, seasoned, well cooked, has soul. I prefer a sweet and hot vinegar profile. These are not that but are in a class of their own. Very good and I will purchase again. Cornbread: 10/10 fluffy, moist, buttery, flavorful. Peach cobbler: 9/10 just the right sweetness. Hint of lemon. Cinnamon, brown sugar.. seasoned well. Great flavor. This is not a traditional peach cobbler due to the pie crust not being present. This one has more of a dump cake consistency. Still well worth trying and enjoying.

It's anything but small when it comes to flavor and portions. The fried Brussels sprouts are incredible--packed with flavor and easily one of my favorites. The green beans with smoked turkey are a must every time; honestly, even a medium isn't enough for me. I could finish a large on my own without a problem. And the turkey leg? Huge. It's easily enough to share with two or even three people. It's comforting to have a place like this right here in our town. If you love barbecue and Southern food, this spot is absolutely worth trying.

It is a little nicer than your average barbecue joint, tucked into an old renovated warehouse in downtown McKinney, but it still feels laid back once you settle in. I came in mostly for the chicken fried steak after hearing people rave about it, and it lived up to the hype. Crispy crust, tender inside, and that smoky twist they put on it makes it stand out from any other version I have had in town. My buddy ordered a Wagyu steak and could not stop talking about how well it was cooked, which tracks given they cut their own beef. We split the mac and cheese with chopped brisket on the side and that thing is dangerous, rich and loaded with meat. Prices run a bit higher than a typical smokehouse, but the quality earns it. If you care about where your beef comes from, this is the place to go. Excellent service every time!

It was a warm pink middle and a crusty exterior. The sauces were a great accompaniment. I didn't much care for the red wine reduction, but the chimichurri and the creamy horseradish were outstanding. The Caesar salad was delicious and executed well. All the food hit the spot and made me want to try even more of the menu. Our waitress was very kind and had the southern hospitality and accent down pat haha! She gave us fast service and was very attentive. The unique factor for me here was the back story. I heard the owner has a ranch up north which is where the meat is sourced from and he also has a Local Yocal Farm to Market shop close by the restaurant which I'm looking forward to checking out as well. I give it a five stars because I am looking forward to going back for more delicious food and sharing the meal with friends!

The cooks know what they are doing. But just keep in mind that this is on a farm in the middle of Princeton Texas. And there were flies EVERYWHERE. You will see them fly and land and walk around all over the uncovered food. All of them. And nobody cared. So note to self. Lechon is $20 a pound. When I was there they maxed at 2 lbs per person. Some people called ahead. But be informed with their process on their Facebook page. Grilled squid was my favorite. It was $20. Not all options they pictured on their Facebook page that they stated were available actually are. I was looking forward to some pork blood stew and some barbecue pork on a stick and they didn't have any even tho it was mentioned that it would be there. Their process is not efficient as of yet so it takes a while to actually order and then pay for your food. So if you are in a rush- this is not a good idea. There is a little karaoke stage next to the open kitchen. A little stall with desserts being sold. Which were delicious!!! The Ube Leche flan was legit.
