After the service, the owner of the shop stood with me and my partner in front of my vehicle and showed me all of the different components within my engine, found an issue with my oil and taught me how to keep it at bay until we could get it fixed, and really explained everything in detail with patience. The price was not bad at all! He also mentioned how my car wasn't supposed to sound a certain way when starting and with our permission, fixed it. I had no clue my car could sound like that! After a trip to Myrtle Beach with five colleagues, we were preparing to drive back to Virginia when my 2017 Suburban developed a serious rattling noise. Stressed and unsure if it was even safe to drive, I went to Firestone on Hwy 17. At first, the front desk wasn't very responsive to my concerns -- but then Don, one of the mechanics, stepped in. Don didn't just glance at the issue -- he personally brought my vehicle into the bay, lifted it, inspected it thoroughly, and quickly identified the problem: bolts on the flywheel had loosened. He took the time to show me exactly what was wrong, patiently explained the situation in a way I could understand, and reassured me about what needed to be done. Not only did Don tighten the bolts, he also applied Loctite to make sure the repair would hold during our long drive back. Thanks to his quick thinking, expertise, and real compassion, we were able to make the journey home safely. Don didn't treat me like just another ticket number -- he treated me like a person under serious stress who needed real help. His professionalism, kindness, and dedication turned a scary situation into a manageable one, and I'll be forever grateful.
