This is a review of this business two years after I went last. Sadly Porkchop closed shop almost two years after I went. Yes he was rough around the edges but you know what, he was a biker and lived it. Not some corporate shirt who would just try to upsale you. If you shut up and used your ears when he spoke and answered intelligently or honestly when you didn't know something he would explain it to you while having you help him so you learn how to do what you went to him for. If you showed no interest than that's your damn fault because there are no better teachers to motorcycle enthusiasts than the Greybeards. I say that with the upmost respect possible. You guys missed out who didn't know about this store or who had such fragile egos that a rough old man crushed your ego. He's rough because he didn't put up with BS and was on guard because well society doesn't want them around because bikers are the final bastion of freedom and liberty that are around nowadays and they wear it on their sleeve proudly. They deserve that little respect. I know that he had been sick as that's what he said to me while teaching me to true my laced wheel and remove and replace my tires. I appreciated that immensely. I'm not sure if he's still with us but I would like to tell him thank you even if belated and hopefully his family will see this and know that he was appreciated and missed by one of his newer customers. I arrived at the shop at 11 am in the rain seeing that the reviews say he's at the shop usually. I waited for 20 min to see it the owner or and asso would show up no one shows. very disappointed in how this has been a bust and waste of time (5/9/23) . it's hard to give sound reviews. (5/9/23 ) 2:03 I had a terrible experience with this shop #Chat. The owner was extremely unprofessional and made me feel belittled and threatened. He even went so far as to make fun of the work that had been done on my scooter rim(8.5mm)."Owner to my understanding read the earlier review using profanity to me saying why would I think he did that kind of work? Upon which he explained he had health issues and I should "know" what he going through. Great service - no wait - professional tire mounting and balancing. OK to bring in your wheel and your new tire to be mounted. The old tire was carefully removed, then the tire mounting area of the rim was cleaned to ensure an airtight seal. The new tire was mounted in the correct rotation using judicious application of tire mount lubricant. Finally the bead was seated on both sides using air pressure. Careful balancing using press on weights completed the job. Very convenient for home mechanics that can do most of the routine bike maintenance but don't want to invest in the specialized equipment needed for tire replacement. read more

I have done business with Dan, aka PORK CHOP for 10 years. He has ALWAYS done me right. His prices are very reasonable compared to other shops. Pork Chop specializes in TIRES...changes, sales, balancing, etc...and he's DAMN good at it. If you specialize in something you better be damn good at it; Pork Chop is damn good with tires. And he does other maintenance; he loves BIKES. I'm an older fossil; so is Pork Chop....older folks have less tolerance for BS and time wasters, so if Pork Chop seems crotchety just keep all that in mind. Many jerks are too quick to complain or RIP someone a new one in a review therefore tainting a shop / persons reputation. In the end what matters is that tire maintenance is done WELL at a fair price...and I have always got both at Pork Shop's place. I highly recommend Pork Chop if you need tire or other motorcycle maintenance. read more

"I DONT WORK ON MOTORCYCLES" was this guy's response on the phone to me...figure that out. Called to get a quote on a tire replacement and get yelled at. Cool. Why does your business say "Motorcycle Tire Shop" if you don't work on motorcycles? This guy is a joke, don't waste your time. read more

Porkchop, the owner, is a crusty old guy, no doubt--but he has lived motorcycles his whole life and can do anything with them, and if he likes you he is extremely reasonable. I had a bent crash bar on my Road King, he blacksmiths it, and straightened it for under a $100! Who can even blacksmith anymore? He rebuilt my brakes on a dynaglide and installed forward controls for $150! He repaired a broken belt for $50. He is $50 an hour for honest clock time. I think the guy rocks. Just don't waste his time and have the money as agreed. read more

This guy is a rude mofo. Went there to get a tire mounted which should of been a straight forward transaction right? Well think again this guy gave me a ear full about my brake rotor not being on the wheel etc. I was ready to walk out but he agreed to do it. Came back 20 min later tire was mounted. He originally quoted me $20 on the phone then jacked up the price to $30?This guy is a awful business man. I walked out of this place just steaming. From his rude demeanor, awful customer service and bait and switch price tactics and on top of that I don't believe he balanced the tire because there were 0 wheel weights on it? I vote with my wallet and this thief will never see a dime of my money that's for sure. read more

He was very fair. I order tire on line called several shops and they were rude. If you order tire on line they will not install. Then went to one they were going to charge $60 to put tire on rim. $20 more than I paid for the tire. A rip off. The $100 for labor for bearing. This shop lubed my bearings, said I did not need new ones and put tire in for $20. I will definitely be back. Women he is a mechanic that you can trust. read more

The guy is very rude!! I took my bike for an estimate. He was a total jerk. I would never ever bring my bike here.
