    Funghi Pizza

This restaurant has been one of our favourites for years now. My partner and I love coming here for an authentic Italian meal. They have daily Chef's recommendations that's worth checking out. The restaurant is spacious and the staff are very welcoming. Tons of parking spaces coz it's in a plaza.

Had a fantastic meal @motorinorestaurants We first started with the guavarita, mushroom mafaldine, burrata and a side salmon. Everything was cooked perfectly, but we especially loved the creamy mafaldine; service was also on point. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're I rhe Vaughan area!

We have been coming here for years and I would never stop. I remember the first time we ubered food from here- I thought to myself if it's this good being shipped 9km away I can only imagine eating there! -and I was right. The ambiance, the service and the food are always on point. This particular time we were served by Thomas- attentive, awesome and so nice :) Jason the bartender slings cocktails you feel immediately and you can't go wrong with the pizza. All in all this place is ALWAYS a solid 10.

I would rate the food a 3.5 but the service bumps it up to a 4 :) We got a pizza, the spaghetti carbonara and the calamari. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The spaghetti was slightly undercooked but that's how I like my spaghetti anyway! The service was great! Everything we asked for was attended to right away. It was empty when we went (4pm) so the ambiance felt a little odd but definitely because we were the only ones there, it started to pick up right when we were about to leave.

3.5 Definitely a good spot for a catch up - in Vaughan and they have a robust menu. Ambience is pretty nice as well. Wasn't too hungry so got a buratta salad. Service was prompt and friendly. I think I paid close to $30 though after tip so a bit on the pricier side.

Good place. Great customer service. Our wait staff was on top of it and attentive when needed. Food came out in good timing and as we had a larger table of 16 they were easily able to manage and accommodate our group. Food was good. We all tried a large variety of pastas apps and pizzas. All of it was good. Most of us wished the pasta sizes were a bit larger. But it was good overall. The Roman style pizza came in two alternatives. The woodfire was good. Id go back with a group but not likely on my own. The large tiramisu was a good shared dessert to end the meal. The carbonara was one of our more favorite dishes in the group.

Found this little place through Yelp and google reviews. I've had this on my checklist for the longest time and finally got the chance to visit last night on a Monday. This restaurant is PACKED! When I arrived at 9pm with my boyfriend, we were shocked to see how busy it is despite closing at 10pm! We proceeded to take to ask for a table of 2 and just our luck, we got a table. We ordered the calamari ($22) , nyuba? pizza ($20) and gnoochi bolognaise ($18-20). All of these dishes were really good. I really enjoyed their fried calamari, it was super thick pieces and big portion compared to many other Italian places and it was lightly batter, the sauce was SO good. The pizza was good too, the spicy kick as well as honey made me REALLY love it, it was also recommended by our server! As for the gnoochi, it was ok, the least one of our favourites as we didn't feel like it had much meat, just a lot of tomato sauce. The manager was great and really entertained us when he came by with serving the food and providing us with extra shredded cheese. Greats service, good food! Just a tad far for me to visit but definitely worth checking out if you're in the area or live in the area!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Was not too busy. It has a very nice vibe and friendly staff that were all very accommodating. The red and black retro theme inside is pretty nice with a ceramic finish. Food...hmm honestly for me...it was ok. A little underwhelming. The lamb chops were good. The lasagna was ok but a little watery. I don't see myself going back here. Have heard their pizzas are good.

My colleagues and I came here for lunch on a weekday. One of them had been here before and had a great experience. Hence, she made a reservation and spoke highly of this place. We were quickly seated and placed our order within a few minutes after we sat down. Our appetizer, Italian spring rolls, came out shortly after. It was fried to crispness on a bed of spicy cream sauce, which was a nice touch to the flavor. However, here's where it went wrong... our main course - 2 salads and their weekly special pasta, arrived 45 minutes after. Frigging 45 minutes for 2 salads and a pasta. We have asked our waitress to check for us, but she gave us an attitude when we explained to her that another table that had arrived AFTER us had gotten their food, even finished eating at the time, and we were still waiting for our food. However, she didn't seem like she cared, as if that's the least of her problem. Despite the manager bringing out the food and apologizing, we couldn't enjoy our lunch fully as we wasted most of the time just sitting there and waited for 2 plates of veggie and cold pasta... yes, you heard it, COLD PASTA! I wished I have better things to say about the experience, but it was absolutely disappointing, and the way our waitress treated us, just totally unacceptable.

Went for a late dinner with friends last night and all was excellent! Our waiter, Mike, was fantastic. Charm, personality and friendly. He knew the menu without any hesitation, like a waiter should. Food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Pricing was reasonable. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

So many unique and delicious options....including many vegetarian and gf. The polenta fries were amazing and I had them without the cheese. The eggplant meatballs sounded amazing but has bread crumbs and cheese so I opted out of those. My family ordered a variety of items from the menu. All were tasty but pricing was on the expensive side. This place is in a plaza in woodbridge so parking is free and easy but location is out of the way. I was thrilled that they offered a gf pizza...they make the gf dough....it's not some crappy pre made flatbread. Our server, Sylvester was friendly, funny and helpful. Although we stayed a little past closing time, everyone was still polite. The washrooms were clean and single rooms vs stalls.

Mama Mia! Is this the best pizza in town?…read more I finally came to check out the top reviewed pizza shop in Vaughan. Taste of Naples Pizzeria is hugely popular for locals here with many Italians in the area. The 16" pizza yielded 8 large tasty slices with a soft light pizza crust, fresh tomato sauce & good topping ingredients. Crisp thin crust bottom gave a nice finish. This is a real Neopolitan pizza that's a touch better than I've had elsewhere. You do pay a bit more for the quality compared to another local fav next door. Be sure to order takeout early as we encountered a queue but our pizza was ready in a timely manner. Just wait for your number to be displayed outside before heading in to pickup. As they say on the restaurant wall, you owe it to yourself to try. Let me know what you think!

It wasn't mentioned at the time of purchase, and I didn't realize it until I got home. We are the pizza about 30 minutes after pickup, and found the crust to be hard and chewy. For the reasons of the pizza being burnt, the surcharge, the tough crust, and that there are many pizzarias to consider in Toronto instead, so I will not be returning.

An Unforgettable Evening at Zafferano Ristorante…read more Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating two of our family members at Zafferano Ristorante. Although we're not from Toronto and had never been to this restaurant before, our friends had booked a large section of the venue for over 30 guests--so we really didn't know what to expect. What followed was nothing short of amazing. We started the evening with some beautifully crafted cocktails. The drinks were delicious, and our waiter was quick to offer creative twists on our usual favourites--setting the tone for the night ahead. When it came time to sit down for dinner, the experience only got better. They kept bringing out plate after plate until we could barely move! The food was phenomenal: every dish was full of flavour, perfectly served at the right temperature, and visually stunning. A special shoutout to our waiter, Alex. He was outstanding--attentive without being intrusive, always ensuring our glasses were full and that every new course arrived with perfect timing. It was an incredible night and the perfect way to kick off our vacation. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and memories we'll talk about for a long time.

The meal kicked off with some nice warm, bread that was crusty on the outside and moist on the inside. We shared a few appetizers including Burratina, Gnocco Frito, and Margharita Pizza. The pizza had a nice mildly spicy sauce which made for a very delicious pizza. The Gnocco was fried pizza dough balls with garlic, Parmesan and a drizzle of honey. It normally comes with Prosciutto but we ordered it without to make it vegetarian. The mix of flavours was really unique and delicious. The Burrata was good but the other two appetizers stood out more. For entrees, we had the Spaghetti Genovese and the Stuffed Gnocchi. Both were excellent. Highly recommend this place.

He's in his twilight years of working so these days he mostly spends his time making his own red wine from scratch, hunting turkeys, and growing vegetables in his garden. He clears the vibe check. I'm yapping now, but all this to say he picked Il Gatto E La Volpe for dinner so I knew this food was gonna SMACK. We started with margherita pizzas for the table, arrancini, calamari, and a couple bottles of red wine picked by Uncle Dan. My Mom got the gnocchi bolognese, which I knew I would get 80% of as she eats like a mouse, so I went with the Florentine steak. I hate to be corny and say "everything was sensational," but everything was sensational so Imma leave it at that. My favorites were the gnocchi bolognese and arrancini though, as I had never seen gnocchi bolognese on a menu. It honestly should be a more common dish. I'm making a prediction that by 2029, gnocchi bolognese will be a standard item on all Italian menus. Service was great, vibes were up, and this was just a great place to enjoy some much needed family time over some red wine. These haters got me stressed. SHOUTOUT TO UNCLE DAN!
