An Italian restaurant in Woodbridge. Came before the holidays with a reservation and the restaurant wasn't too full. They originally seated us in front of their kitchen area and there was a whole bunch of fruit flies that were flying around our heads and stationed at the booth seats - this was pretty gross and we all immediately got up from our seats and requested for a new one. This was quite shocking because of the vast amount of the fruitflies there were. Luckily - the spot we moved to sit afterwards didn't have any of those annoying pests bothering us during our meal. Now onto the meal itself, it was delicious with some hit or miss dishes for sure. Server was good but at times, things came out slow and we couldn't find our server. Here's what we got: Wood Oven Roasted Olives 5/5 Cavolfiore 5/5 - Fried buffalo cauliflower Frittura Di Pesce 5/5 - Loved this! Fried shrimp and calamari, it was so good and delicious. Burrata 5/5 - Creamy burrata with heirloom tomatoes. Loved this - it was refreshing and creamy all at the same time. Chicken Parm 4/5 - Big piece of fried chicken smothered in the tomato sauce. Was good. Penne Vodka 4/5 Spaghetti Carbonara 3.5/5 Funghi Pizza 3.5/5 Nduja 4/5 Nutella Pizza 5/5 - Loved this as a finisher. This was so good with the nutella spread on the pizza dough. Though we had a lovely evening, the food and service fell short of what we were expecting. For an italian resto woth a visible pizza oven, you would think the pizza would be great-- it tasted like cardboard with a little bit of dried cheese and sauce. gnocchi was an odd shape and lacked flavor. 4.5/5 We were in the neighbourhood and thus visited this Italian restaurant for lunch today. We brought our toy poodle so had to sit at patio. They have a good menu and we sampled many different dishes. The Penne Vodka was a bit salty and the polenta fries were quite bland in taste, other than these, all dishes were delicious. Patio area was spacious, airy and comfortable, foods were nicely presented and delicious, service was friendly and good. Music was a bit loud indoor but overall vibe was good. We have been coming here for years and I would never stop. I remember the first time we ubered food from here- I thought to myself if it's this good being shipped 9km away I can only imagine eating there! -and I was right. The ambiance, the service and the food are always on point. I would rate the food a 3.5 but the service bumps it up to a 4 :) We got a pizza, the spaghetti carbonara and the calamari. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The spaghetti was slightly undercooked but that's how I like my spaghetti anyway! The service was great! Everything we asked for was attended to right away. Food came out in good timing and as we had a larger table of 16 they were easily able to manage and accommodate our group. Food was good. We all tried a large variety of pastas apps and pizzas. All of it was good. Most of us wished the pasta sizes were a bit larger. But it was good overall. The Roman style pizza came in two alternatives. The woodfire was good. Found this little place through Yelp and google reviews. I've had this on my checklist for the longest time and finally got the chance to visit last night on a Monday. This restaurant is PACKED! When I arrived at 9pm with my boyfriend, we were shocked to see how busy it is despite closing at 10pm! We proceeded to take to ask for a table of 2 and just our luck, we got a table. We ordered the calamari ($22) , nyuba? pizza ($20) and gnoochi bolognaise ($18-20). All of these dishes were really good. I really enjoyed their fried calamari, it was super thick pieces and big portion compared to many other Italian places and it was lightly batter, the sauce was SO good. The pizza was good too, the spicy kick as well as honey made me REALLY love it, it was also recommended by our server! As for the gnoochi, it was ok, the least one of our favourites as we didn't feel like it had much meat, just a lot of tomato sauce. The manager was great and really entertained us when he came by with serving the food and providing us with extra shredded cheese. Greats service, good food! Just a tad far for me to visit but definitely worth checking out if you're in the area or live in the area! read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Was not too busy. It has a very nice vibe and friendly staff that were all very accommodating. The red and black retro theme inside is pretty nice with a ceramic finish. Food...hmm honestly for me...it was ok. A little underwhelming. The lamb chops were good. My colleagues and I came here for lunch on a weekday. One of them had been here before and had a great experience. Hence, she made a reservation and spoke highly of this place. We were quickly seated and placed our order within a few minutes after we sat down. Our appetizer, Italian spring rolls, came out shortly after. It was fried to crispness on a bed of spicy cream sauce, which was a nice touch to the flavor. However, here's where it went wrong... our main course - 2 salads and their weekly special pasta, arrived 45 minutes after. Frigging 45 minutes for 2 salads and a pasta. We have asked our waitress to check for us, but she gave us an attitude when we explained to her that another table that had arrived AFTER us had gotten their food, even finished eating at the time, and we were still waiting for our food. However, she didn't seem like she cared, as if that's the least of her problem. Despite the manager bringing out the food and apologizing, we couldn't enjoy our lunch fully as we wasted most of the time just sitting there and waited for 2 plates of veggie and cold pasta... yes, you heard it, COLD PASTA! Went for a late dinner with friends last night and all was excellent! Our waiter, Mike, was fantastic. Charm, personality and friendly. He knew the menu without any hesitation, like a waiter should. So many unique and delicious options....including many vegetarian and gf. The polenta fries were amazing and I had them without the cheese. The eggplant meatballs sounded amazing but has bread crumbs and cheese so I opted out of those. My family ordered a variety of items from the menu. All were tasty but pricing was on the expensive side. This place is in a plaza in woodbridge so parking is free and easy but location is out of the way. I was thrilled that they offered a gf pizza...they make the gf dough....it's not some crappy pre made flatbread. Our server, Sylvester was friendly, funny and helpful. I had very high expectations for this place, but the food wasn't the greatest. I ordered the penne à la vodka and it tasted like Mac and cheese. Also, they don't mention that you have to pay for water. I asked for water and they just brought over bottles of water that cost $7 each. It's been a while since I've been here, as my 1st experience wasn't that great. However it was a friend's birthday and this was her choice, so what can you do? I was pleasantly surprised at how good things were. There were 14 of us on a Tuesday night and when we arrived (we had reservations) our table was ready. Our waitress was fantastic - friendly, efficient, conscientious and knew the menu and could confidently answer questions. I had a pizza, which I asked for a small modification from the menu description. No issue with that at all. Food was very good...from our Aracino (Rice balls) to my pizza. I was really wanting to like this place, but I hope friends never suggest it again. Positive: - friendly manager that did try - we had an 8:30 reservation. Waited half an hour for our table. Manager gave us complimentary champagne/wine while we waited. - great waiter. Very efficient and professional. - amazing thick cut fries coated in parmigiana and truffle. Delicious homemade - perfectly made. - great atmosphere. Italians really know style and chick. Love the Vespa red, black and white theme. - unique and cool sparkler for celebrations (like for cake, etc). - very good Nutella tiramisu. Negative: - food took 70 minutes to arrive (around 10:15 on a 8:30 reservation). We overlooked this, as our company was good. - my wife ordered a $50 steak. It was so fatty and sinuey, she hated it. Ended up cutting it up for the dogs. - I ordered a pizza with 4 toppings. The pizza had a lot of potential, but they left off one topping per the menu, the black olives were great, but the pizza had all of 5 olives, hardly any sauce and barely visible cheese. Would have been great, but was so sparse. - the other couple also ordered pizza. Both were also very sparse. Feels like they were running out. - we all ordered cuppachino. One person got a cup that smelt like chemicals (maybe dishwasher fluid). We brought to waiters attention, and he gladly replaced. We stopped by Motorino quite late at night, after 9:30 pm, for a birthday dinner and had a great experience. Staff was super accommodating and helpful. Between the four of us, there were all kinds of weird diet requests and they took care of all of them. They were able to make not one but two custom-made pasta plates just the way we wanted them - eggless, creamy and with lots of veggies. My favorite part were the different doughs. They had regular pizza dough, Neapolitan pizza dough, even an avocado and flax pizza doughs, and my personal favorite - the gluten-free dough which is great. Very tasty and even fluffy! This is a great Italian restaurant. It has a wide variety of dishes. The Italian spring rolls are a must. They are so different yet work so well. They are stuffed with prosciutto, fior di latte & basil on top of a roasted garlic basil crema. So delicious, perfectly fried and the flavours are amazing. The spaghetti carbonara was really rich and had an amazing sauce. I just wish the pancetta was more crispy. The restaurant called shortly after asking about 10 mins asking me to cancel the order. I refused as I did not want to be be billed. They then cancelled the order on their end but said we told them to do it and attempted to have us charged the full amount. Also the price is getting out of hand $17 for a glass of mediocre wine is kind could outrageous given that this isn't a high end restaurant . They've also started doing birthday crap with sparklers on a piece of cake and lots of crying children. their main courses are nothing special. The food was delicious. Every single bite had its own sensation of joy. The short rib was extremely tender and flavourful. They were able to modify the plate to be keto friendly, which is amazing!!! The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. There was no evidence of it being overcooked or over seasoned. Everything tasted fresh. The only downfall of this place is that the bread isn't warm. Otherwise, everything is perfect. I also had the tea rosemary mock tail, which tasted just like tea but with a dash of honey and rosemary. Simply unique and marvellous. We ordered the Avocado Bocconcini for appetizer. The server seemed concerned & asked us if we knew what that was , & my friend was italian so shes like yea ! When it came , we realized why. It was pretty big, & we werent aware of the size just as he had assumed haha. We had a quick dinner recently. We originally called and they told me they can only seat us at 930. But we were in the neighborhood and thought to try our luck at 8. Got the bar seats. But there were so many empty tables around us !! The food was okay. I want to highlight the octopus dishes and the charcoal veggie pizza. The octopus was soooo fishy and chewy, way more than expected. It took a few bites to get used to. But if thats your kinda thing, I'd imagine youd love it. The main reason to come here to try the pizza. It was not as I expected. It was a little dry and the black olives were extremely salty. Not a big deal, we just picked it off. We went here to celebrate Father's Day on their lovely patio and they were so accommodating with 3 children under the age of 5. Everything was absolutely delicious, you can't go wrong. We ordered the Arancini, Gnocchi Bolognese, Eggs Benedict, Chicken Parmigiana, Fettuccine Veal Meatballs, Tuscan Fries, Burrata, Warm Roasted Beet Salad, Calvin pizza and Cheese Pizzas for the kids.
