1 Star - Disappointed - Poor Workmanship & Questionable Practices I brought my Aprilia RSV4 to this shop for a valve adjustment, and the experience was extremely disappointing. After nearly a week, I picked up the bike and immediately noticed it didn't sound right--rough and unhealthy. I raised my concerns, but the tech insisted it was normal and said everything was fine. It wasn't. Shortly after, I discovered the bike was nearly 3/4 of a quart low on oil--something that should never happen after a major service. When I brought it back, they acknowledged the oil level but chose not to recheck the valve adjustment, which was the main reason for the visit. After getting nowhere with them, I contacted other shops for a second opinion. Every one of them agreed the bike didn't sound right. I ended up checking the valves again--they were out of spec. That should never happen after a valve adjustment. Additional issues included: * Clutch cover gasket was not replaced, despite being charged for it. * My race air filter was removed, replaced with a lower-quality aftermarket filter, and I was still charged $87 to "clean" the original--which was never returned. * Crankcase bolt cover was left loose and leaking oil. * I provided oil and a filter, yet they still charged labor for an oil change that should've been included in the valve service. * Tank bolts were stripped. * There were inconsistencies between what was said on the phone and what was done in the shop. This experience showed a clear lack of attention to detail and care, and in some cases, what felt like dishonest practices. I would not trust this shop again and would not recommend it to others. It's one of those places where they don't really talk about the ending price and really just surprise you with an astronomical price list. And if you have these guys work on your bike, the price will always be vague. No transparency, and you will be surprised at the end. They basically expect you to keep an open checkbook. And if price is no object, well then this is your place. Make sure you read what you're signing Because they will not disclose it until it's time to pay. Look at the receipts and you can decide if it's worth it to go here. After paying and on my first ride a few hundred miles in I notice oil leaking from the crank case. Was able to hand tighten 2 bolts. They did not bother to re torque all the case bolts. Not good. Next thing is I ordered new chain and sprockets. Well they couldn't get my size so they just put on whatever they had in stock to make the sale. And never told me till I road the bike and felt the difference. I added a BT Moto stage 1 flash. Was told by Jared that it wouldn't help the bike without the emissions block off kits. Just to up sale and make another $800. All I wanted done to start was headers installed and flash. They made the up sale then made it seem like they did me a favor by getting the work done. I did email and they offered to retorque my case bolts. Took blame for "forgetting to mention" the other. It's not worth my time to drive 3-4 hours for a 5 minute job that should have been done to start with. Be aware they charge a convenience fee to help keep prices low. Look up and item here and I'm sure you'll see you could had gotten a better deal. read more

They kept me up to date by telephone and text the entire way and even sent me photos along the way. They completed the job in a very timely manner and the bikes looked amazing! GARBAGE!!!! I took my 2022 Yamaha R7 to get Dynotuned a while back. I got a HalfA$$ tune or probably nothing at all. One day after wearing light colored shoes and pants I noticed my right leg covered in oil. I noticed my engine had almost 0 oil left according to the sight glass. After further investigation I found out the engine had no way of breathing, so it pressured up and started to spit all of my oil out of my clutch rod assembly seal. So, I was running my engine with little to no oil for God only knows how many miles. Most sportbikes need block off plates, that is not the case for an R7/MT07. You need to Un-restrict the air box since the CP2 engine does not have openings for block off plates. (refer to pictures) What they did was cut the only breather hose from the airbox to the engine case as shown below. They plugged the airbox with a cap and then cut and plugged the hose with a bolt. I reached out to them and asked why they did this; I was told for "emissions purposes". No solution was given. I was told to simply just "bring it by the shop for them to take a look at it". Why the hell would I bring it back to you guys after you did a Mickey Mouse job on my bike? Also noticed that the tire probably rubbed up against plastic undertray of the tail section of my bike while they had it on the dynotuner or whatever they had it on. I added the picture of the printout they gave me of my "gains". All and all I pretty much just got an ECU flash if that. I hope nobody has to go through this. HUGE waste of money. I hope nobody has to go through this. Whoever did their website did a good job. Judging by the website it looks like a professional shop, IT WAS NOT. They were in a neighborhood behind a mom-and-pop shop. Place is about as big as a two-car garage looked pretty ghetto honestly. Surprised they had so many bikes there when I showed up. I showed up to my appointment and waited about 20-30 minutes while one guy moved a small container with a forklift and the other 4 guys guided him the entire time as he moved it 20 feet. The place literally a driveway and small garage. Don't be fooled like I was. This is the first and last time I will ever let anyone else do work on any of my bikes. (Noticed they moved locations I was talking about their old location in North Hollywood) Response to Jarred..... I waited to post this review because #1- I work 72-84 hours a week #2 -I've never reviewed anything before in my life so the last thing I want to do is put down a small business, sadly I have to #3 - I like to gather all information before I accuse anyone of anything, so being that I finally replaced my airbox with an aftermarket one I had the opportunity to check to see if you actually did the work you were supposed to do to my airbox, and sure enough YOU DID NOT. I like how you responded to everything EXCEPT engine issue. How detrimental your work was to my brand-new bike. I'm surprised my engine didn't seize from running with little to no oil. The bike was brand new when I brought it to you guys after the break in period at around 1300 or so miles. With that being said since I was the only person to touch the bike before I brought it to you guys, anything out of the ordinary would obviously be on you. For the Rear Fender (plastic undertray) unless I somehow bottomed out my bike myself, I doubt that I would damage my own motorcycle in that manner, again the bike was brand new. My only guess is that the tire rubbed against it as it was ratchet tied down to your "dyno". If you want to show me these pictures, please post them I would love to see if you are able to prove with pictures that it was not you, I highly doubt it unless you have a picture of my license plate and the undercarriage in one photo. To respond to your "open door policy" on my dyno sheet. Why didn't you give me all of that information to begin with? Isn't that a standard? Why say you will give it all to me now and not when I got my bike back. You have an opportunity to rectify all of this by explaining why you plugged the ONLY source of venting the engine and did not touch the airbox at all. Please explain why I got that instead of a dynotuned bike. Instead, you chose to focus on why I didn't post this review sooner, literally everything except the work you did on my bike. For your solution of "going through the bike WITH me", as I stated I addressed the situation by reaching out to you guys, asking why you did this and was given a poor response. I don't need to "go through the bike WITH you" it took me this long to write this review because I had to find the time to go through the bike myself, I know what you guys did and didn't do that's why I wrote this review... read more

It's taken me too much time to do this, but here I am, better late than never. Earlier this year, I picked up a brand new 23 Aprilia RSV4. I'm a brand loyalist, and have owned two prior to this. We know how it is with these things. I waited a short time before going down the rabbit hole of mods and upgrades. I had one shop do the basics and was over all satisfied. I was referred by said shop to another shop for suspension work. Without blasting the aformentioned shops, the bike came back with some things that were incorrect. Missing fairing bolts, leaky master cylinders, incorrect parts, etc. However, I was lucky enough to receive a referral to MotorSport Exotica by one of the shops. Long story short, or long as the case may be, I picked up the phone and called. Jarred picked up the phone. The first call was just for missing bolts that I, myself noticed.They had the bolts I needed and told me to ride on by and grab them. Some time later, I realized my brake light was not functioning. Since two different shops had touched my bike at that point, I was very hesitant to go back. I realize right of first refusal is important, but also thought that if you work on motorcycles that people spend 20-30k on, and you're forgetting things and doing work that could be described as not exacting, maybe you're not the shop. That ramble complete, I called MotoEx again, and they told me to bring it on back. Jarred gave me a full prognosis and explanation and didn't talk down to me. Straight gearhead to gearhead. I left my bike there. I came back about a week later to pick it up. They had done a full tear down, touched everything, fixed the brakelight issue (which no one else had an idea about or any urgency about - lot of finger pointing) replaced a part someone else had made work, but not at all the right part, set up my suspension, found more missing hardware others neglected to put on. If you're looking for thorough work, good communication, real race mechanics, stocked parts and friendly demeanors, this is the place. You get what you pay for here. This was my first time at this shop and had a great experience. I brought in my 2020 Yamaha MT 09 to get exhaust and suspension. When I called Tanner was super helpful and recommended I get ECU flash, block off plates, air filter, and dyno tune along with the exhaust. He gave me a quote over the phone and followed up with emailed invoices that broke everything down parts and labor. They were able to source everything except the filter as their distributor didn't have any in stock. I was able to find one on revzilla and had it shipped to them. When all the ordered parts came in I dropped the bike off on a Saturday and it was ready Wednesday afternoon. They're closed Sunday and Monday so it was done in 2.5 working days. When I picked up the bike Jared gave my suspension a custom setup for my height and weight. I just took it to Angeles Crest yesterday which was my first real ride since the upgrades and it was a totally different bike in the best way. I brought them my new bike (2017 Aprilia RSV4) which I wanted the wheels powdercoated to match a custom wrap job I had done. Prior attempts either got me a no response or the shop wanting me select the "best match" wheel color -- something I didn't feel confident in considering I wasn't a color expert. This is where Jarred from Motorsport Exotica stepped up. Jarred asked for a sample of the color I wanted because he intended to achieve the best possible match and didn't want to rely on a printer (of pictures I provided) to get us there. He also communicated that he would personally take the sample to their partner powder coating shop to get the color as close as possible with a custom color -- all of which impressed me. His consistent communication and high quality standards made me confident that my bike was in the right hands. When I finally got to see the finished product in person, I wasn't disappointed.
