Welp, I just purchased my new 2021 Ducati Panigale V4SP and wow am I happy. I couldn't have done it without Nicco's help though, he's a salesman and took about a week for me to get this bike from beginning to end using my personal credit union. Beware and stay away from this shady dealer!!!!!! I'm a motorcycle technician working at an independent Ducati shop, and I went to there after seeing a 2016 Multistrada 1200 listed online. The entire experience was a disappointment from start to finish. I asked for service history documentation, and they couldn't provide anything - which immediately raised red flags. After inspecting the bike myself, it became clear why: The bike needs a Desmo service (around $2,000) The front fork is leaking and needs service (~$1,200) Tires are worn and squared off (~$500) Coolant needs to be flushed and replaced (~$120) Brake fluid needs flushing (~$120) Battery is old and needs replacement (~$300) Chain needs replacement (~$350) Wheel bearings need servicing (~$250) Spark plugs need replacement (~$200) Air filter needs replacement (~$150) On top of all that, the bike only comes with one key - no master key!!!! and they don't even know the PIN code. I tried to negotiate based on the obvious issues, but they were firm on price. To make things worse, they attempted to add a reconditioning fee on top of everything. That's completely absurd given the condition of the bike. Very unprofessional and not transparent. I would not recommend buying from this dealer. read more

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the level of service and professionalism I have experienced at Wheels in Motion, particularly in my interactions with Jimmy, the Service Manager. Over the years, I have trusted your shop with multiple services and have spent over $3,000. Based on those experiences, I expected a high standard of workmanship and customer care. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been disappointing and have raised serious concerns. First, after servicing my 2002 Ducati--kept in pristine condition--the motorcycle began leaking a significant amount of gasoline the very next day. I contacted the shop and Jessie assisted in arranging a tow back. Upon inspection, I was informed the issue was caused by improper reassembly, specifically that the gas tank had not been properly clamped or secured. Second, during a separate visit, I had a new coolant tank installed. After approximately 30 miles of riding, the tank began leaking immediately. I returned to the shop and was told that carbon fiber tanks can sometimes be defective. While the tank was replaced, I was asked to sign a document stating I would be responsible for labor costs if the issue occurred again. Given that the failure was due to a defective part, which I found concerning given the defect was not caused by me. Most recently, after riding only 19 miles since the last service (as confirmed by Jimmy), the motorcycle again began leaking a large amount of gasoline from beneath the tank. When I brought this to Jimmy's attention, he declined to repair the issue, despite its clear connection to prior service work. Given the repeated issues and lack of resolution, I am extremely dissatisfied and request a prompt response to address this matter. read more

I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance for my RZR, and when I arrived, they acted like there was no record of it. No apology, no accountability just blank stares and attitude. Even after that, I still left my RZR and told them I needed it back by November 20. I gave them plenty of time to get the job done and was more than reasonable. But they couldn't even give me a clear timeline or update. It felt like they didn't care at all. The service advisor, Jesse, was consistently slow to provide updates and eventually emailed me a document to sign approving work I had already declined. They claimed the main frame and subframe were bent and tried to charge me $4,500 to fix it. Worse, they pre-selected the approval box in the document as if I had agreed to the repairs. Thankfully, I work at a law firm and read everything before signing. As soon as I saw what they tried to slip past me, I went to pick up my bike immediately. To make matters worse, when I arrived, my Grom was already outside -- but Jesse took it back inside and made me wait over an hour. He said it was because I hadn't signed the document they emailed, even though I was clearly there just to pick up the bike, not approve any work. For reference: the oil change and inspection were done within the first two weeks. Then they took another two weeks just to give me an outrageous estimate. This entire experience felt dishonest and manipulative. I will never go back here -- and I strongly suggest others steer clear as well. EDIT: I took the Grom to another shop and it was a $150.00 fix. EDIT: I reported them to the bureau of automotive repair. I will be demanding every last dollar I paid to them and loss of use for holding my bike for 4 weeks without reason. I don't know if I just got a bad experience or the sales rep was having a really bad week. To be nice, I won't name names (you know who you are). I never had such a piss poor experience at a dealership so 2 stars is generous. I've purchased 4 vehicles from dealerships (new car + 3x new bikes) in the past 2 years so I have some familiarity with how dealerships work and their service quality. Not only did the rep not know his own inventory, but he actually asked me to go look it up for him... They also asked me three different times to confirm the bike I wanted. When I was fed up with dealing with him and told him I would take my business elsewhere, he magically found the bike I was asking for (but I thought I never stated it?) and also quoted such a ridiculous price, it was laughable. As it was 50% more than MSRP, I'm sure he was just being facetious but damn dude, have some pride in yourself. FYI - I understand invoice and what mark ups are legitimate or not; i have buddies who are in the industry. I know quite a few people in the So Cal bike community (both the street and track scene) and I will definitely not be referring anyone here in the future. They advertised a damaged bike without first disclosing on the website that the bike was damaged, but since I called the business and they got my full name and phone number before telling me the tank was badly damaged, they then sold my personal information to a third party, and subsequently I began getting spam calls within forty-minutes of my conversation with "Cam." I do not recommend you trust "Cam." He comes off as a nice guy, but he's slick and dishonest, and this business, like most dishonest dealerships, will advertise falsely and then sell your information as a secondary means of making money. read more

This place is pretty chill, and has a huge selection of used bikes, so I give them an extra star for that, but please do your research before buying anything used from here. I stopped by to check out a used 2023 Lowrider ST priced at over $21,000 out the door--without the OEM side cases. I pointed out that, without the bags, it's basically the same bike as the 2023 Lowrider S they had on the floor, just with a bigger fairing. I was told they were "flexible in the hundreds, not thousands." To their credit, they were honest about likely lowballing my trade-in--but that's the problem. If you expect customers to be flexible on their trades, you should be just as flexible on your used inventory. The reality is, it's not hard to figure out what dealers are into it for on a used bike, especially when they all use the same wholesale valuation software. I had done my homework, and for this exact model/VIN, Antelope Valley Harley's own site estimated a trade-in value of $11,575-$13,270. From my experience with my own trade-in negotiations, dealers are pretty firm on anchoring to this range. Add a healthy 30% margin, and you're still looking at around $17K on the high end. This one? Listed for nearly $19K--and again, no side cases. Oh, and they don't do test rides so this is all to massively overpay for a used bike that I can't even ride first. Needless to say, I walked away without even having to take a second to consider or look at anything else. This was a canary in the coal mine for me. Very disappointing experience. Bottom line: do your research before handing over your money here for anything used. I can't imagine having a better experience on new bikes, to be honest with you. WIM Santa Barbara advertised a new 2025 KTM Super Duke R Evo for $3,500 off of the MSRP of $21,499. Via telephone, WIM advised they did not have the bike in stock but would receive them within two weeks. I placed a $1K deposit to reserve one. Later that day I was told that I would have to pay for the bike within five days prior to WIM receiving the bike to continue my reservation. During a later conversation, WIM stated that this was a mistake and the deal would continue with payment required when they received the bike. The following day I was advised that the $3,500 discount pricing was actually for 2024 models and KTM would not honor the discount for 2025 models. I cancelled my purchase as they changed the conditions of the deal/price. Hopefully, they will return my $1K deposit without a fight. After getting a quote on my bike I route down to wheels motion. After seeing Alan I was told that quote online for my super tenere was wrong it was worth 1.5k not 4.7k. I filled out the paperwork for financing and was told that all the banks are not answering so he would call me tomorrow. So what was the point of coming in the first place? After not receiving call back I called him twice only to be told me no bank would help and in his notes said my bike was only worth 1k and I would have to use my own bank. Don't make the same mistake, they are selling lemons and then stepping away from responsibility once they have your money.
