We are very happy to make the drive as Atlas Valley is an outstanding club in which to belong! Just like a previous member stated, the club is very affordable. Currently, it is only $500 to join and $250/month to play unlimited golf if you walk the course. Never a mandatory caddy or cart. The COURSE is very challenging with water, sand and many trees. The course is always pristinely groomed. It is well appointed with gorgeous flowers at each hole. The pro and all the assistants treat you like family. They call you by name. They help you with anything you need. The Pro shop is very well appointed. There is a nice driving range and you can arrange reasonable lessons with the pro at any time. The members are VERY FRIENDLY! There is none of the "nose in the air" attitude of some clubs. We have made many lifelong friends at the club and will continue to meet more wonderful members. This club LOVES KIDS. The kids play golf, they go to the snack bar for hot dogs and snacks, they swim, and they have wonderful kid events from March until December. St. Patrick's Day Putt Putt golf inside the clubhouse, Easter brunch, Halloween, Brunch with Santa, etc etc. THE FOOD IS AWESOME! And, may I say, very reasonably priced. Last night, for instance, I had a beef tenderloin atop a flavorful potato pancake, a salad and vegetable at the price of $19.95. I added a glass of wine for $5.50. There is not a steakhouse in Detroit that could present a meal as good for the price. The SERVICE is outstanding. Every server is top notch. They know us by name. They treat us as if we were family coming for dinner. The POOL has a great SWIM TEAM. It is clean and has a brand new play structure adjacent to it. They have poolside meal service! Yes, the wait staff comes to take your order you can call in your order and someone will deliver food poolside! They have a wonderful BAR called "The Century Club" where you can come on a Thursday evening in jeans to drink (craft beers on tap) and listen to music. The bar food is not typical bar food. It's awesome salads, pizzas and snacks that will wow you! If you need a special place for a WEDDING ceremony/wedding reception, this club does it all! Look on their website for the examples of weddings they have hosted. They are breathtakingly beautiful and are reasonably priced for groups up to 300. There are fabulous LADIES NIGHTS! I for one, am NOT a great golfer, but I will attend the ladies nights with fun entertainment, wine and food. You can PLAY FREE for a day and try out the club. If you have thought about joining a club, for the price of a new big screen TV you can live the country club life instead of watching it on television!!!
