Not exactly health food, but this rich, thick, delicious Nepalese food really hits the spot on a dark and stormy winter day.

I noted with some amusement that they sent new staff to serve me, and I figure that's fine, I'm closing in on 5000 Yelp reviews, I'm a veteran at this. I ordered slightly unconventionally, getting a spread of dumplings and a side of dal with some bread. The momos were delightful in texture. They way the were served with sauce in between them rather than on the side was a little unconventional, but the end result worked well. My dal was richly flavored, with a fresh tadka clearly evident on top. The bread wasn't quite enough to mop up the whole thing, but I don't mind just eating straight lentils from time to time with a spoon, so ultimately this meal was a winner. I would be more than happy to return.

It is the kind of place that you can smell tempting you from about a block away. Almost everything we had was amazing. The naan was filled with sauteed onions and I could have eaten the entire basket. The biryani dishes come in your own personal Le Creuset Dutch oven and are truly the size of a family meal. The mirch malai tikka is basically a deconstructed chicken tikka masala. It was excellent. The chicken was grilled with crispy edges and the sauce was complex and decadent. We also tried the goat curry, which was rich and delightful. Sadly, the plan rice that came with the meals was terrible. Like, it felt musty, almost? It did not smell or taste right and we did not eat it. Our waiter was great, attentive but no hovering, and was helpful with choosing the right spice level. Overall, a very good meal.

Ambiance is nice- set in tables if two and four with seating for ~12 parties. The restaurant was very clean and had a good feel to it. It's a more romantic place, cozy but not setup to feel overcrowded. A great spot for a date Service is very friendly, with recommendations if asked and staff who care about your experience. A nice change from chains and carry out restaurants. Food is on point. We had chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, bhindi masala and garlic naan. Very good seasoning overall and the tikka masala had the right amount cream. Flavors were well developed and savory. Quantities of protein were good yet still plenty of sauce for naan dipping. Spice levels were a little mild compared to many Indian restaurants I have tried so I would recommend ordering one spice level up. The restaurant offers alcoholic drinks and has a decent wine selection. Prices are very competitive. We were very happy with our meal and overall experience. I would definitely recommend Tandav to you with high marks across the board. Cheers!

I placed a large takeout order through DoorDash yesterday, and everything exceeded expectations…read more The food arrived hot and fresh, all items were correct, and they even included cutlery and napkins which I really appreciate these days. My mother ordered the chicken tikka masala and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chicken vindaloo (medium), which was flavorful and delicious. One of the items we ordered that was a standout for everyone was the Mango Lassi . Every single person in our group ordered one, and we all loved it. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be ordering from this restaurant again!

A friend and I were seated quickly, and provided menus. I knew I wanted mango lassi and ordered that. We decided to split beef samosas and garlic naan. I went with a veggie saag dish but asked for it extra spicy. The mango lassi was amazing, it was hard to stop myself from chugging it. The beef samosas were well made, perfectly flaky, however, I realized in that moment I prefer veggie samosas. The entrees arrived and my dish smelled amazing. I tried my best to spoon rice onto my plate, but the rice was oddly stacked high on a plate and would just tumble down like an avalanche. I prefer my rice in a bowl. So, my saag dish, while well prepared and was hot, was lacking flavor to me due to the spice used to provide the heat I wanted. And that's on me. I realized this meal that I should get maybe medium spice at most, then ask for whatever their version of "hots" is on the side. Overall, it was a very pleasant visit. Service was amazing. I just made bad choices, which is not Little India's fault.

I decided to order take out. It was still lunch time but near the end…read more They have lunch buffet from I believe 11am-230pm. It has select items available for buffet. Im not a buffet kind of person but I have taken part in this buffet previously when the doors open as I can see patrons visiting such. This has been my favorite AUTHENTIC HALAL Indian restaurant. Unfortunate for me its across town and with traffic could be almost 2 hour travel round trip. I ordered the tandoori chicken (mild) with spinach and an order of the vegetable samosas. While waiting I spoke about the items on the buffet menu to someone I was speaking with and to my surprise I was given a bowl of curry chickpea (I enjoyed in the past). The service and attentiveness has always been great. Today was no different. During my wait for my order to be prepared I was offered a beverage and my selection was cold water. My order came out within reasonable time and hot. The vegetable samosas did not stand a chance once I got into the car. They were with thw right crisp, authentic spices and mix of tasty potatoes and peas dipped into the "green" sauce. I then indulged in the curry chickpeas and as one could imagine they didnt stand a chance beyond the car. Most delish. Once I got home, my tandoori chicken after travelling in the mad ttaffic across town; food was still hot. The portion size is always enough for 2 meals for me. I plated my meal on to anotger plate and enjoyed every bite of the authentic dish with juicy tender grilled chicken and fresh sliced cucumbers, onions and carrots. Over rice. Prices, like everywhere else, has taken a hike. I use to pay $16-$18 for the tandoori meal and its $22 now. The samosas use to be $5 and I think they are $7. I knew in the past the lamb meal took a drastic jump increase in price and that strayed me from purchasing but the portions of would can be justified for some of the cost. I dont remember a bad experiece here. I definitely will continue visiting this establishment for my Indian cuisine fix.
