Parking is easy with a large lot right next to the lake, opposite of the lake are some hiking trails if you have more time. It's a nice loop going around with some different areas along the way such as a small creek, reeds near the shore, and some water works that looks like they have been turned off or no longer function. Even in Winter there are a lot of different birds around. My kids loved following and chasing the large pelicans in the lake. You can fish here and there are children's fishing competitions. Just keep in mind to have a permit because when we went there was a police officer checking and ticketing people.

There are plenty trees and shaded areas in the grass to cool down. The bathrooms were close by and well maintained. The flooring beneath the playgrounds was a squishy turf and good for if a kiddo slipped, but it does absorb a lot of heat. Please make sure you stay hydrated! They have a water fountain available outside of the restrooms.

Parking was easy since there is a parking lot. However, it can get filled quickly and luckily I was able to snag a spot. Not sure what the other parking options are when the lot runs out. The park itself is super nice! It's hilly and vibrantly green. My favorite part is you have a great view of the city up top from the hill. The grass is also comfy to sit on. They have a playground, several picnic tables, and a bathroom too. There were several other groups celebrating occasions there, but it was not too crowded. A perfect option for nice weather. I would definitely recommend this park as a great picnic option and would visit again.

They do have a few terrains that need to be introduced by an adult A small Pickelball and Basketball court with a beautiful view Terrain and walking path that has a few hills and a small set of stairs. I didn't walk it myself but I'd say 20minutes round trip. Clean restrooms Plenty of parking This location is recommended for afternoons over summer months. Check winds and weather!

I was grateful to have participated in the event this year. I look forward to be a returning participant in the future. It was my first time visiting Brookside Park. It is Pasadena's largest fully maintained park located south of the Rose Bowl Stadium. It is indeed a beautiful park. Huge parking lot available off Arroyo Boulevard. There is a baseball stadium, football and soccer fields, tennis courts, swimming pool facilities, many picnic tables, good size children's playground area, restrooms, drinking fountains, etc. Barbecue pits are available in most picnic areas. I would love to return to this park on my own personal time and enjoy its amenities. If you're in the Pasadena area and need a place to walk, rest, hang out, have lunch, or play, Brookside Park may be the place for you.

It's home to Jackie Robinson Baseball Stadium, has two softball diamonds, a multi-purpose field for flag football & soccer, a small stage with seating, an aquatic center, numerous picnic tables, and three play areas. At the center of the park is the Rose Bowl. The Gamble House is at the South end and the Brookside Gold Course is to the north. Kid Space Museum is also located here. Music Festivals such as Cruel World, other big events, and the monthly Rose Bowl Flea Market also take place. Another main attraction is the 3.3-mile loop trail that goes around the Rose Bowl & Gold Course. Occasionally, I'll come here for an early morning run and I'm here once a year to participate in Pasadena Human's annual fund raiser - the Wiggle Waggle Walk. The park is spacious and there is plenty of room for vendor booths, demonstration areas, and doggie costume contests. Participants have the option of walking the 3.3-mile loop or the one-mile route around the multi-purpose field. The park is nicely maintained as are the restrooms and parking is plentiful.

You can go over some of the little bridges to get from one side of the park to the other easily. The surrounding neighborhood is really nice and has lots of trees. If I lived closer, I would be here every day!

We were there in the early mid-morning and listened to a talk about the watershed preservation. I was impressed with how clean everything was and most especially the restroom. They were super clean, well maintained, and well lit. Me and my daughter felt safe. I was surprised to note that when we returned later in the day that there is an attendant available to answer questions or provide support. This place is a winner in my book.

This park is one of my favorite parks in Studio City. They have recreation areas and can let you sign up for sports/classes that interests you. Recently, I had taken few classes with couple of their teachers/coaches and they are WONDERFUL! Earlier this morning I went to play tennis with one of my friends. Tennis is one of my favorite sports to watch and to play. We don't keep score. We just like to play and have fun. You can walk, jug, people walk their dogs, kids, they have picnic areas and do a lot of kids birthday parties.. or you can just simply sit in silence and enjoy nature, the sunlight and have a good, peaceful time. Private lot parking, or street nearby parking. They are closed on Sundays. Kind of weird, but it's their rules, not mine. That's when people usually spend time with their families.
