I can always count on Yelp to help me find a local lunch spot for great food. I wasn't really in the mood for a sandwich but after seeing the reviews and having 2 locals recommend this spot, my husband and I decided to give it a try. Wow, this place takes sandwiches to a whole new level of goodness. The menu isn't very large but I think they have perfected what they offer! I had the Reuben - smoked beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing on a soft pretzel bun. I lm never sure about sauerkraut, but this was an incredible sandwich. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It is juicy with a smoky flavor. We couldn't decide which sandwich we liked better. There's indoor (shared tables) and outdoor tables. A man sitting behind me lives around the corner and said this is his favorite place in town!

Staff is super friendly and restaurant offers both inside and outside dining where the outside dining has a great view of the harbor adding to the overall dining experience. Overall I was very pleased with this dining experience and would love to put this business in my suitcase and take it home with me as I would definitely be a regular. Five stars in my book.

Excellent sandwiches and coffee. We got the farmhouse classic and the tuna melt and both were so delicious! The peppers in the tuna melt really take it to another level. We loved the caramel latte- absolutely delicious. The staff is also very kind. They have a nice patio area which was awesome to sit and take in the sunshine. Was in town for work and had previously looked up breakfast spots in the area. Was still undecided when I arrived but ended up passing by this spot and made the decision then and there that I was gonna give it a try. The line moves quickly and there were a mix of tourists and regulars. I got a latte and the A Buttkicker. The sandwich was divine. The bacon was thick cut. Breakfast bun was perfectly toasted and soft. The highlight was definitely the addition of the hot sauce. Absolutely hit all the right spots. read more

Amazing sandwiches, maybe the best I've ever had!! I ordered with my fam the pulled pork, korean bbq, and california, and they were all GREAT !! I loved this place sooo much that I went twice in a row, twice for lunch. Had the clubhouse sandwich today. It was my first time here. Service was top notch, lady that took my order was very welcoming and friendly. I will defiantly come here again. I had the Farmhouse Classic and an iced hazelnut latte. The sandwich was a good portion, piled with ingredients, super tasty. It was a little spicy from the Serrano Mayo but not in an overpowering way. The ingredients were very fresh and the bun was soft and held up well. The latte was also very good. The coffee was smooth and they offer alternative milks with no additional up charge. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a good breakfast spot! read more

Looking for a quick breakfast, we came here on recommendation of folks at our whale watching outfit. It did not disappoint. Good selection of pastries. Two breakfast sandwiches on menu and one burrito. My kids got bagels and cream cheese. It's true that we only got a small taste of Victoria, but it did leave a lasting impression. There's so much more to this capital city that needs to be explored in more detail. It can be a bit spendy as it starts at CA$109 per person before tax and tip - at least for me I allocated the entire $100 USD dining credit with the Amex fine hotels and resorts benefit on this. Reservations are almost mandatory for weekend and I'm glad I made one just in case, although it was rather risky due to the 48 hour cancellation policy if I fly in the morning of, but it worked out. They're strict on time - I made a 12pm reservation and they refused to seat me even though it was not busy at all at 11am opening and made me wait until exactly 12pm. A bit harsh when I contacted the hotel and made a note to the restaurant for my arrival details. I got the traditional afternoon tea for 1 so just tea and 3 tiers of scones, small bites, and desserts. It was quite nice of them to refill the entire tier of savory small bites even though I only requested 3, so that was a nice touch that somewhat made up the poor first impression. You can request more of certain items for free, just don't abuse the system basically The food with the 1 tier refill was more than enough food for me - the service was decent as they checked up on me during the meal. I nicely asked for the tea gift box that is only reserved for anniversaries and they accommodated, but this will almost unlikely happen in many situations so your mileage may vary. I did wait 20 minutes for the gift box as it wasn't a priority for them, so do what you will to see if it is worth the time (I at least was not in a rush)

It's so fun to see each ice cream get made! There are also other desserts available if you want something to go, or a souvenir. There is free water. Just grab a clean cup and pour it yourself.

Even though it was the middle of winter and it was near closing, there was still a good number of people inside buying buns and not all of them seemed to be tourists like us. We ended up getting a number of different items: Custard Ball ($2.99) - We warmed this up in a toaster oven, giving a bit of the crust on the exterior edges of the donut, especially on the top where the powdered sugar turns into an almost crème brulee-like topping. The crumb is very fluffy fried and is filled with a sweetened vanilla custard. (4/5) Ube Custard Ball ($2.99) - This has the same donut dough base as the normal custard ball, but is filled with a dark purple ube cream. It's sweet and earthy, albeit not necessarily the most heavily ube flavored. (4/5) Original Ube Ensaymada ($2.99) - This bun, extremely fluffy and nice to eat, has an interesting spiral pattern construction at least when viewed from the bottom, but it's not apparent inside the bun. The bun is sweet and again there's not too much ube flavor. If it wasn't purple I'm not sure I could identify it as ube in flavor. (4/5) Classic Pandesal ($0.99) - Lightly sweet, great soft texture. It's pandesal, not too much else to say. (4/5) Overall the baked goods Friends & Family Bake sells are pretty good. Most of the items are soft, fluffy and sweet, perfect for breakfast or a dessert.

I recently visited Farmhouse in Victoria, and while the food was decent, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming. We ordered the poutine, which was tasty with crispy fries and a good amount of cheese curds and gravy; it definitely hit the spot. However, the service was quite slow, and unfortunately, our order was forgotten, which led to a much longer wait than expected. It was disappointing to have to remind the staff. On a positive note, we really appreciated that the restaurant is dog-friendly, which made the wait a bit more bearable.
