I came here with my Husband before we had kids and was expecting myself to have to eat in the room to keep my feral kids out of the way of the guests, but that could not have been further from the truth! Stayed at the Omni with my three kids, 5 and under, and in laws for a few nights and had an incredible experience. As soon as we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly. Nick gave our kids a very warm welcome and handed them all super nice kids welcome bags. He was also the last person we saw when we left and he did a great job, super friendly! The resort has plenty of outdoor areas for the kids to run around and get some energy out. The indoor pool was perfect for kids. Only went up to 4 ft and there was a 1.5 ft wading area for the babies. There is a toy store on site in case you want to get the kids something. Of course the arcade was a huge hit for our kids. All of our meals were wonderful. We had the best servers. Elena, Peter, Dilek were awesome. Elena made us feel so special and treated me and my mother in law so well! Adam was super helpful and always hustlin around the covered porch area. After the kids were asleep we were able to sneak out to the Conservatory bar (beautiful views of the mountains) and Ben made delicious drinks. What we experienced instead was an absolute disgrace. When we opened the curtains of our expensive suite, we were greeted not by the majestic White Mountains, but by garbage cans, dumpsters, HVAC units, and an unsightly service/utility yard. At no point during booking or check-in was it disclosed that our high-tier family suite would overlook the hotel's back-of-house trash operations. When we brought this to management's attention, expecting basic empathy and a reasonable resolution, the response was shockingly dismissive. The staff was completely unaccommodating, and the manager was entirely unempathetic and uncooperative. Rather than trying to make things right or move us to a acceptable room, the manager blatantly told us that if we didn't like our accommodations, we could always just check out. To add insult to injury, after making us feel thoroughly unvalidated and ignored, the manager offered a insulting token compensation: waiving a single night's $50 resort fee on a stay costing over $800 per night. This stay was a complete and total disappointment. The quality of the accommodations and the terrible attitude of management were completely inconsistent with Omni's reputation and nowhere near worth the price we paid. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

Their check-in was supposed to be 4:00 pm and by that time only one of the rooms was ready, they were told by the front desk that they had "no timeline" on when the others would be ready and available. By about 7:00 pm a second room was ready and available but still no word on the 3rd. It took until 11:30 pm for the front desk to provide keys to the 3rd room and when the girls went to bring their belongings there was already a random man settled into the room and he immediately became confrontational and threatening towards the bridal party, assuming they were in the wrong room and he attempted to intimidate them to make them leave. When they went back down to the front desk the staff couldn't have cared less and admitted to giving this man the wrong key to the wrong room while refusing to take any ownership for the error otherwise. They simply shrugged their shoulders and told the girls to go tell him to leave and come to the front desk... This leaves a huge stain on what was supposed to be a really nice weekend spa trip for my fiancée and her bridal party, to screw up 2/3 rooms for one night and put them in such a precarious position so late at night is completely unacceptable and incredibly disappointing considering the prices guests pay to stay here. There were 2 weddings booked at the hotel for the weekend and there were many other guests who had issues with their room reservations and I'm sure it was a chaotic/stressful weekend for the hotel staff; however, if you don't have the proper staff to handle multiple weddings in a weekend maybe don't overbook and force the guests to suffer from management's lack of preparation for these large events.

Apparently, when you live there (which some people do) you are required to keep 4 window boxes on your deck (which everbody has) filled with red and white mums. I came during the summer (obviously), and the fact they had a golf course on site was a great plus. About $20 each to play their small nine holes. You're not going to get to pull out the "Big Bertha" on this one, but it's very nice for your (if you have them) hybrid irons or low irons. I used the pitching wedge a lot on this course, some lofts (beware of the sand traps as well). If you play through the whole course, on the 7th hole you can literally drive (if you want) with the 1 Wood all the way to the 9th, it's a straight shot. If you're not down for that it's about a 70 yard hole to the 7th green. Very roomy inside, very quiet and pleasant on the outside. People were nice, it was like being in the cape. Everyone said hi to you as you walked by and the elderly (or not so elderly) walking by the course offered a few tips on my swing as we were playing through! ha! 10/10

I hit a very good tee shot but we couldn't find my ball. Same for the 13, 15 etc. drives straight down the middle but mountain golf being what it is- everything rolls downhill. After a while, I just gave up and laughed. Fortunately knowing the area somewhat, we went for cold beers to drown our sorrows. So I had 12 friends of mine up for a boys weekend away and to announce to the all that I was getting married again. What better way to celebrate than to golf right, it's what guys do. Well real men that is... This isn't true, golf isn't a tough sport, in fact if you are good at it, you are probably a spoiled little brat who didn't have to work hard. All bits aside, this place is gorgeous, it's 8 minutes from my house in Meredith and at the top of a hill. You pass the town recycling center, a cemetery and a bunch of beautiful homes to get to it. The fees are good, the people are kind and greens are in great shape. The course really is gorgeous, hills upon hills, greenery and some beautiful reservation type spots that have all the nature and wonder. Lot of granite and woods as well, I know this because this is where my balls usually end. I also checked out the function room for my upcoming wedding and the only thing that is preventing me from having it here is the room size, it only holds 200 and most likely 175 comfortably. That said, I will have twice that at my wedding and I am sad about this, because I absolutely loved the room. It's a barn type setting with an amazing stone fireplace in the center of it and beautiful wooded bar. It also isn't very busy for some reason, I golfed on a saturday morning at the end of June and got an 8 am tee time no problem whatsoever.

The course is on the North side of the road exclusively so it's a different mountain golf. Fairways slope, greens slope and rough can gobble up your ball. Although we played blue tees, there isn't much difference in length except for the 17th (100 yds).most holes are straight, although there are a few doglegs. The course is harder than it looks. Greens rolled about 10 on the stimp. Keeping the ball in play is recommended. Upstairs is a small restaurant that has beer and sandwiches/burgers that is pretty good. Worth the money in my opinion.
