U have to go find your waiter & ask. They apologize & say they are short staffed- it will be out soon. Eventually u get the steak-but it has a chunk cut out of it & is only 3/4 the steak u ordered. U ask the waiter. He says "yeah, the beef supply chains are messed up. We had to reduce portions to be able to serve all our guests." No apology. No reduced price. No simply serving less guests. U r expected to pay full price for a 3/4 steak. Then the guest one table over says "it's not perfect, but it's the best in town. The place down the street is only giving people 1/2 steaks"

My mother has been at Arden Courts of Anderson for close to 5-1/2 years. Honestly, there were some…read moremajor issues there a year ago which you may have heard about (or others may have commented about), but the new staff have turned the place back around to the quality facility it had always been. The caregivers there are extremely kind and attentive to the residents. The daily activities are structured and varied, and the activities staff encourage the residents to participate. The facility itself is always clean, has recently been refurbished, and the layout with 4 individual dining and living room areas make for a more home-like atmosphere. Food is prepared fresh daily on-site. The staff is also very supportive of the family members who are dealing with the hardships of a loved one with dementia. Living 300 miles away (with no other family in the area), I rest easily knowing my mother is in good hands. Actually the reason I have not moved her closer is that she is so very content there, plus I know I could not find as caring and as nice of a facility/staff (and I live in a large metropolitan area with numerous facilities). I highly recommend Arden Courts of Anderson if you have a family member in need of quality memory care.

No doctor or nurse practitioner bothered to evaluate the patient when she was complaining of extreme pain before making medication decisions, and ignored recommendations from hospice nurse. Arrogant LPN who asked patient to state her pain level from 1-10, and when patient replied 9, the LPN said "you don't look like you're a 9." Definitely a "we know best" philosophy that does not prioritze the patient. When patient was being cleaned by nurses, family was subjected to listening to patient screaming "I hope you are killing me because I can't take any more of this." Horrific experience. We moved her to the nursing facility at the Kenwood Senior Star where she had wonderful, patient centric and empathetic care. What a mistake to subject our mother to MPL.

do not work here or send your loved ones here. i am a worker here and the workers are snobby and…read morerude, and they are outrageously rude to the residents here. the workers put on a show for people who come visit their loved ones, all the nice, and happy, and smiles you see is all fake! today October 23, 2025 a nurse here was telling other nurses that a resident here was not liking the idea of him have a catheter, so he got upset and was saying he didn't want it on himself, and he was moving around, and the nurse told the other nurses she snatched him by his feet and yanked him to the edge of the bed and yelled at him in his face "you're going to keep this f**king catheter on rather you like it or not" she was demonstrating how she was pulling him as if she was proud of herself. this is a elderly who has pain and is fragile!!!! anything that you accidentally missed of your loved ones belongings after they've passed away, the nurses either throw the items away or give them to other residents or take them home for themselves.... to me that is just very disrespectful. about 2 weeks or so ago, i over heard a resident telling a nurse that another nurse slapped her in the face :( this place is just awful, and it's too expensive.

The staff makes us all laugh. They work hard to cheer us up. They interviewed me to find out what I like and others there then arranged activities to enhance our stay. The Chef cooked special orders cheerfully. I found the food fresh & delicious. Loved getting breakfast in bed when I slept in. I was bed ridden until physical & occupational therapists worked with me to get me walking again and reducing my oxygen from 4 down to one. I feel it is possible to be back in the league playing tennis & golf again next summer. Thank you everyone peers & staff at The Anderson ". For the gentleman who went to Heaven instead of home. His family was well liked too. The funeral director took care of everything. We mourned and did an activity he would have enjoyed by watching "The Haunted House" with Eddy Murphy. I felt closure talking with my peers. If you or a family member needs special care? I strongly recommend "The Anderson".
