I have been to Mountain Aire Dentistry for a teeth cleaning, X-rays, and a checkup. I also had a crown replaced by Dr. Boclrath. The entire office is clean and the staff are very friendly and professional. They have state-of-the-art equipment, and they made my new crown right there at the facility, so no waiting, no temporary crown. I did not have any discomfort or pain during my treatment, and everything was explained to me as they worked. They seamlessly processed my insurance claim. Updating the review as the business has been shifted from Dr. Berry to Dr. Bockrath. I've been coming to MountainAire Dentistry since 2015 and has had good experience with Dr. Berry. What keeps me coming back to this practice is Tina, my favorite dental hygienist. She's professional, thorough and most of all, amazing at her craft. She knows I'm not a 100% 3x daily flosser but has never once made me feel any kind of way but to continue to encourage me to keep at it. Def notice the difference on more frequent flossing vs not super frequent flossing and how long I'd be in that chair with her.... so that in itself is an encouragement to keep at it. I also really love Olivia as she's assisted with my cleanings as well, I love her energy overall and just happy to see both of them when I come to the office. The reason I felt the need to come and leave a new review is for Dr. Bockrath. When he first took over, I didn't know how to feel but only hoped he's really good and that he has enough experience - because looking for a new dentist is the last thing I want. I had to have a crown replaced recently and was nervous as my first go around was probably the most unpleasant experience ever, and this is coming from someone who's had multiple heart surgeries in the past.... Dr. Bockrath addressed my concerns and really reinforced how he's really particular with his skill. (I think he said he's a 'diva' when it comes to the details of his work.) Also the technology has updated at his practice that I no longer would need a temp crown for a week while I wait for the new crown to be created as he can do that in his office. I was in and out in about 4 hours, and that's including a cleaning appointment as well, of course, with my favorite Tina. The placement of the crown looks great and it was overall a very smooth appointment. He was attentive and ensured I was not in pain during the whole process. My jaw was a little sore for the rest of the day but surprisingly I didn't need any follow up painkiller, bite was good but I did go back next week to see if an adjustment was needed. Overall it was a great experience, the process was so quick and smooth, and pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Bockrath to anyone who is looking for a new dentist and not just a new crown. :) Clarize was amazing during the process too, she ensured I was taken care of and made sure I was comfortable. I decided to stay on board when Dr. Berry left which was so disappointing I might add. I am glad I stayed! The staff there is so friendly, always laughing, concerned, attentive and also very up front about charges, treatment, etc. Dr. Bockrath is friendly, he remembers all my grandkids, our vacations, etc. and always asked about them... this shows me how well he listens to me! Dr. Bockrath takes the time to explain in detail every treatment question I have along with the ESTIMATED prices he quotes! He is upfront and honest about dentistry being expensive, so he makes sure YOU decide on the treatment he suggests or not suggest! He gives you all the pros and cons first, sometimes even letting you know if it's even worth it at all or what he would do himself. I like that honesty! He's friendly and respectful to his staff which is a huge statement in itself to me! I understand age, personal hygiene and heredity, etc. that is out of Dr. Bockrath's control all play a part in one's needs and treatment so no matter what dentist you chose we will run into things we may not like to hear or that might dip deeper into our pocketbooks at times. After a recent extraction and bone graph done on me, he sat beside me and explained everything he did in detail and how he did it adding several suggestions beyond the after treatment print out! Although I have always dreaded going to the dentist Mountain Aire Dentistry makes the experience as good as it can possibly be. Everyone is very friendly & caring. From Jessica at the front desk to the dental hygienist & especially Dr. Berry. After leaving you feel very well taken care of. After my last filling I had some pain d/t what we think was muscle spasms and Dr. Berry took the time to text my husband with things we could try to ease the pain & was with us every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about mountain aire! I have very severe dental anxiety (think living with a broken tooth and abscess for months because I was too scared to go in) and mountain aire has taken incredible (and non-judgmental) care of me! They provided an amazing referral for an endodontist and have continued to care for me incredibly well. I have yet to have anything but a great conversation with anyone on their staff. This is my first time writing a review but I always pay attention to review when researching places. PS: the extensive amount of reviews are from a previous dentists that must have retired of left recently. I feel the need to write this review because the dental care I received could have been better, the people working in the office and Dr. Bockrath are very nice but not a great experience. I was told one of the current onlay's I had on initial visit here was cracked and needed to be replaced. We moved forward and 4 onlay replacements later I am being told I need a crown!! After replacing the onlay for the 3rd time it was in place for about 4 months and just randomly came out while eating a cookie. It was very expensive the first time around now looking at out of pocket cost for a crown is unsettling. The quality of the onlay does not feel strong and has had multiple problems. I have since moved dentists and would not recommend coming to this dental practice. read more

Decided to change their operating hours without looking ahead at appointments. Canceled my appointment with only a few days notice. I planned business trips and my work schedule around the appointment, yet they cannot do the same?!?! Offered an "earlier in the day appointment" as a replacement. Given I work downtown Denver, not an option. Claimed they called me multiple times and emailed me once. Looked at cell phone records which showed one call, no voicemail, so I had no idea who it was from. The one email from them was dated Oct 9th CONFIRMING my appointment, and I continue to get texts (1) and emails (2) confirming my appointments from them. They cannot even get their stories or systems straight. Was not thrilled with the first visit to begin with. Emailed my dental records and x rays to them, and they never bothered to look. The hygienist told me I needed x rays, and I told her I just had them and sent them several weeks ago to the practice. She said she never looked at my records, so I had to pull up the email on my phone, show it to her and she then went to the desk, confirmed they got them and finally looked. Waste of time to get from my old practice, email to Mountain Aire and call them to confirm receipt as nobody bothered to even review before my appointment. Dentist commented multiple times during my exam that he "was not going to make any money on me" as I take excellent care of my teeth. He then insisted I needed a fluoride treatment, which I never have heard or needed in 40+ years of dental visits. The reason I chose this practice was due to the reviews of the dentist on their website. My appointment text confirmed my appointment with her as well. When I arrived I found she left the practice months before, yet was still all over their website and literature. Had I known she was gone I would have looked elsewhere. I have had very intense jaw pain for the last 6 years. After one visit with Dr. Berry, that pain is gone! Overall? This is the best dentist I'm pretty sure you can see. I've been going to Mountain Aire more than i'd like to lately and its my own fault for not taking care of my teeth really, but every time I visit the entire staff is super chill and Dr. Barry is next level. I had an infected wisdom tooth out of my head faster than i ever could have imagined. He was like 'We're gonna numb you..." Then next thing i know the tooth is out in less than 10 min. Most insane and fastest extraction of the 3 or 4 I've had and i didn't feel numb or even pain really after. Makes me wonder why i haven't had all my teeth pulled lol. Dr. Barry is awesome. He's super chill, charismatic and is a music lover and most of the music there is super chill so its easy to relax. There's a little black sabbath in the repertoire which I love but maybe we can see some Iron Maiden someday... and more 80's pop ;). He's like: "Dude lets do this" and honestly with him at the lead (even a bit nervous) I'm like: "YEAH!" The dental assistants, and front staff have been great too. Way beyond what you'd expect from anyone. Helpful and Kind is deff the name of the game here and it shows. If you hear this weird piano tune from the distance: its someone getting a crown or some kinda scan done. I was wondering forever what that was until I got a crown recently. This has been the case with every experience here. Everything has been exceptional. I feel like getting work done here; is more of a solution than temporary fix to dental issues, and to me, that's a drastically better option than anything else. Getting proper dental treatment is awesome but that with how nice everyone is.. that's just awesome. read more

This office has many great reviews, and maybe it will be great for you! They seemed very nice to me at first, but this ended up being the worst place for me. I'm new to Denver and had suddenly broken my tooth, so I was scrambling to find a good dentist by reading hundreds of reviews - which is why I feel like I need to leave this one! Mountain Aire gave me an overwhelming and unfortunately huge over-diagnosis of issues with my teeth (I have been to 3 other dentists now confirming that most of what they told me wasn't true). I needed half the work they diagnosed me with initially, and on top of that, all the other dentists I have been to told me that the X-rays I got here are blurry. It's sucks to find out you paid $200 for blurry X-rays. It is horrifying to have to suddenly find a new dentist in an emergency situation, in a new state. We hope that we can always trust these health care professionals charged to care for us, but its just not the case. Please follow your gut, and if something doesn't add up, get a second opinion!! I'm so glad that I took the time to see other dentists, it has saved me a fortune (low end, around 7k). I am not writing this to be nasty, it has just been such a nightmare for me, and I want to share to help anyone else who might end up in this kind of situation. read more

I came to Mountain Aire last August based off of all of the positive reviews & referral from a co-worker (I later found out that that most were offered movie tickets for a review). I put off my review until today because of another negative experience with regard to my son, who is 18 & decided to give them a chance after I decided not to go back. I've had routine cleanings every six months since I was old enough. I changed employers resulting in a change of insurance. I needed a cleaning & went in with no pain or signs of any issues. I'd never had a cavity in my 36 years & apparently I had three - extremely surprising. I was hesitant going back to have these filled & should have trusted my gut. I arrived for my appointment to have the fillings done & asked the dentist to explain & clarify a few things. I was nervous & was looking for reassurance. She explained what she was going to do & I allowed her to proceed. There was no explanation of potentially needing more work, just routine fillings. I left that day & had nothing but severe pain & problems for 4 weeks. I went back five days later for my first adjustment to find out the dentist who did my fillings was no longer with them. I went in a total of three separate times for an "adjustment" for severe pain from a simple, routine filling. After the third adjustment, I was told that I was going to need a root canal & a crown! I was told "sometimes when a filling like yours is done, there is a chance for the need for a root canal." Why wasn't that information given or explained to me BEFORE my filling was done, when I specifically asked questions regarding the procedure? Now I need a root canal AND a crown?! As someone who has never had issues with my teeth these are things that are a big deal! When I went in for a 12:45 p.m. root canal & 2:00 p.m. crown, I was there for six hours! I cannot and do not recommend Mountain Aire. read more

I had terrible experiences as a teen with my small town dentist and - to this day - I hate going to the dentist. Mountain Aire Dentistry, however, puts all my fears at ease with a great staff, excellent customer service, and exceptional work. I recently chipped a tooth and had Mountain Aire Dentistry repair the offending area... and it's perfect. It was a quick and painless fix and it looks fantastic. Quite possibly the best dentist I've had. I have Dr. Carpenter, who always shows up on time with a smile and remembers what I've been up to. He clearly has the best interest of the patient at heart. After a lot of dental work, he adjusted my form-fit mouth guard several times until it was just right (instead of upselling me on a new guard). The rest of the staff at Mountain Aire are also great, from reception to assistants. read more

Moved to Broomfield about a year and a half ago and chose this Dentist because they had such an enormous amount of positive reviews. That's because they offer movie tickets for reviews. I got a crown at their recommendation, because I had an old filling with no associated pain. After the crown I had pain eating anything harder than an egg. After two months, three return visits seeing four of their dentists, the issue was unresolved. A co-worker I recommended previously to this practice had the same experience, and ultimately had to get a root canal. We cancelled our future appointments, for our entire family of five with no follow up or attempt to make it right. Moral of the story; go somewhere with fewer yelp reviews and more personal reviews. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Berry, Tina and the rest of the staff at Mountain Aire Dentistry. Let's start with the staff. Every time I come in, the front desk staff has made me feel welcome with their cheerful hello's and genuine smiles. I have always been seen on time which is great when you're sneaking in the dentist on your way to work. Dr. Berry is one of the happiest people I've ever met. He seemingly remembers every personal detail you've ever told him which is so refreshing. Dr. Berry is also the first dentist to feel my jaw for cancer and to suggest a night guard for my teeth grinding. He explains procedures in clear language and makes you feel confident that his removing a tooth is really going to be a walk in the park. Tina, the hygienist, is great as well. She's good at her job, nice to talk to and quite funny. It's hard to make a cleaning a good experience, but somehow she seems to do it. Moving on to the facility. The office is always clean, bright and airy. All the exam chairs face windows which makes for a more pleasant experience than being walled off in a dark exam room. An additional perk are the ceiling mounted TV's with Netflix. Being able to watch Dr. Who while having a tooth removed really makes a bad situation much better. I love my dentist, his staff, the office and everything about Mountain Aire Dentistry. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. read more

You're not going to get a truly accommodating and personalized experience like this at corporate chains like Modern Dentistry or Comfort Dental. I booked a same-day appointment, and received a surprisingly comfortable experience from a patient and friendly staff who seemed genuinely interested in helping me. Additionally, they were in the process of being accepted by my insurance company. During my visit, they made a couple of calls, and made sure that they were listed as a preferred provider before any major work was done. This place does everything they can to make you comfortable, and truly puts the patient first. I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

Well, after having work done by Dr. Berry. All of his work has been re-done by my family dentist. Dr Berry recommended I had two cavities done, the work ended up being so bad, I had to go several times just to get it adjusted in order to bite correctly. After many failed attempts. I decided to go back to my family dentist to find nothing more than a bunch of work that was not needed, and causing the tooth crack now leading me to having an unnecessary crown. After fighting his insurance company for 6 months, I was not compensated for his poorly done work. Has they are just as shady as Mountain Aire them self's. I would not recommend this dentist to my worst enemy! This individual should not be allowed to come near anyone ones mouth for the rest of his career. Beware!!!!!!!! read more

Didn't feel like I was being pushed into services I didn't need. Dr Melissa and the rest of the staff at the office were very personable and friendly. I've been to a lot of dentists and specialists over the years for crowns, fillings, root canals, and other repairs. Dr Berry and the whole of his staff have consistently impressed me with their speed, professionalism, care, but most of all: their anesthetization skills. If you're like me and have both a high drug tolerance and a general hated of needles, then you too should be impressed by the fact that they have never had to stick me twice with novocaine for a given mouth area. Seriously, everywhere else I've gone, I've had to be injected anywhere between 3-6 times for simple stuff. However, with Dr Berry (and crew), even the root canals I've had were able to get done with a single injection and zero pain. I've had my wisdom teeth out here as well, and with just the one injection, felt almost nothing. They have a TV with Netflix above each chair, which is a great distraction from drills and poking. I've also been impressed with their billing and appointment reminders, which have been great for scatterbrains like me. I can't recommend these guys enough :) read more
