Completely burned me. Took my dodge van in for a transmission rebuild and took them 3 months possibly even more. Transmission didnt even last 100 miles. Took it in again and they rebuilt it again and it took them a month or so and drove it home parked it in my driveway and after that the transmission wont go into any gear. And he doesn't want to warranty his work. Its still stuck in my driveway. I've given them $2200 for nothing.I have to pull teeth to get them to return calls to me so my next step is to go to the bureau of automotive repair. read more

These guys are incredible. I've never experienced service this personal--ever! Mark, Andy, Ryan, and Roxanne are absolutely the A-Team. It all started a couple of years ago when I got stranded on the mountain while looking at property. My Porsche completely blew the top end of its cooling system. Roxanne stayed with me on the phone for hours, coordinating everything until they could get a tow truck out to haul me all the way back to my preferred shop in LA. Fast forward--now I live in Crestline and own a '67 Mustang that's notoriously tough to work on. Most shops won't even touch it. But Mark and the crew? They've got it dialed in. They know my car inside and out and never hesitate when I roll into the lot. These guys ROCK. Highly recommended! read more

Went there to have my engine replaced. They said it would take 1 week and cost $5200. After 30 days and many excuses I pulled my car out. The owner, Mark, called once to jack up the price. I deposited half of what I signed for. Now the owner disappeared and won't return my calls. Looks like the court will decide their fate! I haven't met 1 person that recommends this shop. These guys replaced the fuel pump in my Tacoma, when i got it back Andy was really nice taking the credit for the whole job shaking my hand, After a few days the gas gauge was on empty - i filled up the tank and was only able to put11.5 gallons in a 18 gallon gas tank also was still smelling gas, i checked the gas filter that i bought for Andy to change and it had a slight leak on the tank side. The following day i called to let them know what the issue s were and that i would bring it back that fallowing Monday since it was going to be a holiday weekend, so the Monday i brought it back i saw Andy outside he told me why did you wait so long to bring it back he told me go talk to mark - i explained everything to him he said no problem bring it first thing in the morning next Monday, when i brought the truck back i saw the flatbed driver and stepped into the office and heard the guys talking in one of the car bays smelled as if they were having a weed party, after waiting for 20 min i heard Andy say Oh now i can hear the customers saying - (can you fix my car) just like a child they all went out to look at the flatbed truck not one came to greet me , at that time Mark came and told one of the guys to write up an invoice and get the key. the next day i called and the lady at the desk told me it had been ready, they claim that something is wrong with my gauge although it goes from full to empty and i can still drive for another 50 miles on empty before the gas light comes on, the best thing the truck runs but i would never recommend them to anyone, There is no professionalism there what so ever! read more

Mountain Auto Service is an extremely unethical auto repair shop that should be avoided at all costs. My wife and I brought our car to Mountain Auto Service to address a check-engine light issue and payed for multiple recommended repairs, none of which resolved the light. My main issue, however, is that they damaged our car during our last repair and tried to cover it up, even removing parts of our car. They agreed to fix it until they got an estimate for the repairs and then denied responsibility for the damage and refused to fix it. One employee, Andy, attributed the damages to the owner, Mark, explaining that he is visually impaired and test-driving the cars but then claimed he never said that. Due to their dishonesty, we don't know exactly what they did that led to the damage and missing parts. I highly recommend staying far away from Mountain Auto Service. read more

Wish I could give a 0. These people are joke, the whole team. Went in for a simple tune up, should've only taken a week or so, ended being over a month, and had to take the truck back 2 separate times and now runs worse than ever. Mark is inattentive and irresponsible (especially the amount of loose tools that were left in my engine bay and cab was ridiculous) , and it echoes with the rest of the mechanics at the shop. There is no communication between any of the mechanics when you ask , "do you know what he did to my truck" they all give you blank expressions as if they don't even know what a car is. They broke a coolant gauge and oil pressure gauge (didn't even notice the oil pooling on the floor of my cab) and did not replace either, ran and drove my truck around with zero coolant after I had told them multiple times that there was no coolant in the vehicle (it had been towed there) and when leaving the shop they had left two of my wheels loose almost causing a wreck. THESE PEOPLE ARE DANGEROUS NEGLIGENT AND DO NOT CARE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY CLEAR. Go any where else on the mountain or just take it down the hill. Towing is the only thing keeping this place afloat cause it def ain't the service or quality. read more

These guys are awesome! Andy especially, he was super helpful and easy to talk to. I was having problems with my car and took it in. They told me they would have to keep it there until the next day, and they offer a ride back home! And once they're finished they'll pick you back up. Found out my timing chain needed to be replaced, bummer. So I took it back home and ended up getting a new car. The best part though; they didn't even charge me anything!
