Ordered oil change (which they did not do first) and then smog. Smog failed so I took it off the mountain, had the oil changed and the star smog guy down there said the smog numbers were great and didn't see how I could have failed. Clearly I was ripped off. I pulled in about 10 minutes or so after the shop opened and was greeted by a very kind and understanding mechanic, who directed me to their new office location and assured me I could likely get some help the same day with my car. I didn't have an appointment and didn't know what to expect, but Rory and everyone made me feel so at home and were able to fix my issue in no time -- a blessing, I assure you. This place does have a lot of loyal customers, so be sure to give them a call and try to set an appointment before coming in. They are undergoing many new developments and renovations, but they are still very reliable, honest, and communicative -- rare things in this industry. When I called to inquire about a steering problem I was having, Ken told me to come right over and they'd see what they could do. Three other shops I had called previously said they were completely booked for 7 - 10 days, so of course I was pleasantly surprised to find someone that could deal with the problem that day. They wanted to keep my vehicle overnight and, since I had no way to get home a few miles away, they gave me a ride - another pleasant surprise! I come here for smog every time one of my vehicles needs it and have gotten some maintenance on my cars done and they do a quality job and are honest with their work and prices. One of my vehicles needed smog after snowmaggedon and my battery died in that car during all the snow which made it fail the smog check but they didn't double charge me due to the circumstances and I was able to pass smog for no extra charge once I completed the battery cycle after driving a 100 miles or so. On February 9, 2021 my car was picked by Twin Peaks Auto Service for maintenance. Unfortunately when my vehicle was returned to me the lug wrench and the key for the lug nuts was missing. Given that this is the only place my vehicle has been where someone had access to these items I find it suspicious these items are missing. I was informed they had no reason to use them except that they were asked to inspect the brakes and it states on the invoice that the brakes are ok. Needless to say I will no longer use their services. read more

Excellent. Most friendly. Got me in and out quickly. Easy to make an appointment. I called them up and they went out of their way to fit in.

The mechanics are good and knowledgeable but the owners are crooks. They wanted to charge $300 for an oem part that costs $63. Then the labor rate is $125. This is after the wanted to charge $250 to diagnose the issue. Problem I have with that is I have them the code that was being shown and told them what part needed to be replaced. Their was no need for diagnostic work to be done. Had the work done elsewhere and total was $225 compared to the $700 they wanted to charge me. read more

BEWARE!!! I typically don't like to write these reviews but what a horrible experience getting a smog. We typically go to the same place for years Jim's Auto in Crestline. I made the horrible decision to support a fellow chamber member BAD call. With a new battery the car won't pass smog until you do freeway driving. So after the car fails they tell us this and proceed to charge us $72. Then tell us to drive around to come back and pay another $26 plus the $8 for the certificate. Just to make sure new laws hadn't changed I called 2 other places they both said no they don't charge again just the certificate so not only do they charge the most on the mountain for the initial smog they charge to retest. The owner was so disgraceful it was pathetic. Lessons learned but would never use them ever again. read more
