I can't recommend Community Auto Repair Service enough! I brought in my 2019 Chevy Traverse for a front brake replacement, and Gary--the owner and mechanic--did a fantastic job. He explained everything clearly, gave me a fair estimate upfront, and did the job quickly. The brakes feel perfect now, and I feel much safer on the road. A few weeks later, I brought in my 2012 Jeep JK, which was having issues coming back up the Mountain. I was referred to them by my co-worker and was no disappointed. I initially showed up for a quote on brakes and rotor job and Gary gave me multiple prices and situations as to what the break down could be once he takes my tires off. After leaving and feeling very well taken care of and had all my questions answered I called & made an appointment. I dropped my car off and within minutes I received a phone call with my estimate & the work that he suggested to be done... Which was turning my rotors and keeping my brake pads because they still had 75% life left! I agreed to the work and my car was ready within 3 hours! He even rotated my tires! All for under $100!! TL;DR Friendly, honest, inexpensive and thorough. Highly recommended! My SUV over heated several times once I got into the mountains. I tried to troubleshoot it myself but I was unsuccessful. My fear was being in the mountains without a lot of experience fixing cars and limited options that I would be taken advantage of. I was so wrong. The people at community auto repair diagnosed the problem and it just turned out to be a faulty radiator cap. They test drive my car and everything checked out. They could've easily told me that I needed a new water pump, thermostat or radiator. They were fast and even squeezed me into a busy schedule. They were finished in under 2 hours and less than $100. I can't tell how much I appreciate them! These are good, honest people. read more

We were towing our trailer during the hotest time of day and were dealing with some transmission temp issues. We pulled over, called the owner and were told to come by and they would take care of us. My car wasn't starting. I called the closest shop to my house, they couldn't fit me in till next weej, so I called Garry at Community Auto Repair Seevice. He said bring it in in the morning. I showed up at 8. He found the probkem, fixed it and had me out the door shortly after noon. And he didn't charge jacked up prices on the parts just because we're in the mountains. Once again Community Auto Service has done a superb job on our vehicles. On our 94 Camaro Z28 the brake warning light came on. I mentioned that perhaps the front brakes needed replacing. When I came to pick the car up, Gary said that it didn't need any new brakes, just that they were able to bleed the brake fluid a bit and this took care of the problem and the brake light had gone back to normal. It was amazing to us that they didn't just replace the brakes, but told me that the brakes would be good for another year. A truly honest business and we appreciated that so much. I then took our 99 Mazda Miata to them and had them replace the timing belt, which is a somewhat major repair. Again, they did an excellent job and since the replacement we have driven the Miata 1,000 miles and it works perfectly. Car broke down / started to over heat in Lake Arrowhead on Sunday and could not find a mechanic. Fortunately someone recommended us to Gary. Left the car in front of his office and put the key under the door. Several local merchants in the area said they took their car to him and recommended him also. There were no AAA approved mechanics within 20 miles. Took a chance and worked out well. He was very reasonable and had the car ready to go by 11:00 am Monday.
