Hands down THE BEST!! You don't need to go anywhere else, (but you might need a little patience). They are a very busy shop, so calling ahead about when to come in is a necessity, but I've had to purchase two different vehicles for my daughter, and brought them here to make them road worthy. Both were old Subaru Outbacks and she never had any problems after that, (it's only been a couple years though). I've taken my car there too and never feel pressured into anything unnecessary. I was getting a warning with my DEF system in my 2021 Ram 2500. I stopped by to get them to run a scan to give me the error codes. Jesse (sp?) and the team were extremely helpful and got us setup very quickly to repair a flat from a nail in our tire 30 minutes before closing (they were already packing up). He told us the process they use to patch (not using a plug but an actual internal patch that is permanent and fully seals the hole rather than a temporary plug). They got the work underway (no payment required until the work was completed). Declan (sp?) was on top of things and quickly repaired the tire in under 30 minutes (with our rim kept in pristine condition). With all the paperwork, explanation, work, and payment we were in and out in under an hour. Our family greatly appreciated them taking care of us last minute and staying past their 5pm closing to make sure we could make it home safely. I would highly recommend Action Automotive to any local or vacationers that need help with their car troubles. AA's prices are fair for the extremely thorough work and effort that they put into even a simple repair like a tire patch. I think most people would rather pay a little more to get the job done right the first time than pay bottom of the barrel prices for subpar work. A really great, honest auto shop. Had a check engine light last week. I stopped by, they pulled the codes right then and told me what needed to be checked. I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. They got me in on time, no waiting around like at a dealership or chain. Then they called the dealership for me and found out the broken part was under warranty. They didn't want to charge me anything for all the work that they did. There are times in one's life when you meet people that simply make you happy that you met them. Regardless of the circumstance. This was the case when I met with the owner and services of Action Automotive. My car had a radiator issue this past December while my family and I were visiting the Arrowhead/Running Springs area and I was in need of help. It was a Sunday afternoon and when most mechanics are home with their families and not taking 'business' calls, Robert Davison, answered his phone. He didn't have to answer his phone and didn't have to offer to hold my car until he could work on it the next day, but he he did. He was almost too nice to be real. He told me that he would wait at the shop for my tow truck to bring me and my car over. Robert went above and beyond being helpful, honest, professional and trustworthy. He is exactly what each and every one of us hope to meet when we are in a jam and having car trouble. The very next day, he diagnosed the problem and ordered the replacement radiator from down the hill and had it installed and ready to pick up by 530pm. I felt his price was fair and well worth all he did for me, on what was supposed to be, his day off. I can highly recommend Robert and his services to anyone who lives or just passing through the Big Bear/Arrowhead/Running Springs area. He's just a good person, treating people the way we all want to be treated and working hard to earn our business. We need more like Robert and Action Automotive. read more

THE BEST!!! Always are great! Every single time!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. It is SO hard to find an honest mechanic- I know the are. I don't take my car anywhere else. Today I had an emergency-my tire was leaking like crazy & I didn't have time to call-drove strait there & they fixed it so quickly-and as always with a smile. Even though they are always so busy (everyone knows they're the best), they got me right in, immediately. A real class act! I highly recommend! Took my car in to have the wheel bearings checked. The inspection took some time and required removing the front tires and disassembling part of the front end. Have been taking all my vehicles there for years bottom line is when I pick it up it's repaired correctly great deals on tires also. Almost forgot they are Smog specialist with all the top-of-the-line equipment. The crew down at Action Auto has surprised me. For years I have heard the uninformed opinions of many preferring off-the-hill services compared to what is offered right in town. Action has performed real automotive work for sensible prices on two of my vehicles going on two years. I have not had a bad experience! They literally go the extra mile. Their prices are in line and sometimes better than what I find elsewhere, and they are completely honest about everything I need to fix or whatever can wait. No bait-and-switch games, no phony "immediately needed" lists.... .
