I was shocked at the actual square footage of this store as it looks much smaller from the street. Additionally, I never noticed they have a Starbucks within. Initially I only intended to stop in for a meager bag of tortilla chips, but I soon found myself walking other aisles just to peruse the variety of goods available. There's a full-service bakery with an impressive display case near the entrance (adjacent to the Starbucks), and the steaks at the meat counter were equally attractive. The deli section was doing a good business with several people in line for sandwiches, and I noticed a hot soup station, as well. I hate shopping at Lake Arrowhead village on weekends due to the traffic and, though this Jensens was doing a very brisk business, the ease of parking is so much better. I have been relying on the little market in Cedar Glen (a former Jensens, ironically) for emergency "basics, " but it's nice to know there is a larger, better-stocked, option available a short five miles distant.

Yesterday, Upon entering i noticed how super clean this store was, highly organized with attention to details. This ice cream store doesn't have tons so flavors but you can still mix and match, have sundaes, shakes & malts, floats, push pops, paletas, affogatos, hot chocolate, whipped iced coffee too! You can either have cones, waffles cones, cake cones dripped waffles cones, bowls or cups. On top off all of that you can also treat yourself to toppings such as: chocolate chip cookies, gummies, nuts, sprinkle, Oreos, marshmallows, pebble cereal, bits of snickers. They also have chocolate chip cookie, pie, churros, Caramel apples, Bavarian glazed nuts, chips, themed drinking cups, drinks, pins, chargers, rock crystal candies, toy machines. Alex R was working that day, she asked us if we had and question, we did, she answered them beautifully! 2 scoops of chocolate & vanilla, 2 scoop cotton candy, 2 scoops of strawberry cheesecake, 2 scoops mint in chip all in a large cup to go! Their price points are spot on! All were delicious! I would love to Thank Alex R for a fantastic & memorable visit. I would like to thank Village Ice Cream & Sweet Shoppe for wonderful visit! I'll definitely be back again! I'll tell all my family & friends to visit here!

With some outside tables offering scenic views of the lake, this is a great spot to take a rest from browsing and grab an ice cream cone, cold drink, specialty coffee, or sugary treat. The shop offers Thrifty Ice cream in assorted flavors, cone choices ranging from simple sugar to freshly-made, warm waffle cones for cradling your scoops, and a variety of additional crowd pleasing snacks such as churros, baked goods, specialty lattes, Dole Whip, soft serve, and other edible treasues too numerous to mention. Price wise, their offerings are a bit on the higher side - I paid around $10 for a large chocolate malt (shakes are cheaper) - but you will probably encounter a small, quickly-moving line upon entry. And though ice cream can be found at other village businesses, indeed, there are some confections that are unique to this site. Our server (apparently only one on a weekday afternoon) was pleasant and efficient, rapidly filling orders and fielding any questions as she moved to and fro translating the pictured menu offerings into the equally-tempting tangible goodies that excited patrons scurry away holding. It's hard to resist this little spot as you peruse the shops along the esplanade - and what's better than strolling around that walkway bend to the lakefront businesses with a refreshing treat in hand? I'm sure you'll find something that catches your eye and, subsequently, dazzles your tastebuds.
