We normally stay for five days each year. I especially like sitting on the porch each morning watching the sun rise over the mountains. It is so quiet and peaceful. The pool water is crystal clear and the perfect temperature. Byron and Donna are the most easygoing, friendly, and accommodating people that I know. I highly recommend the Shamrock Grove.

Dunkin in the parking lot so that was super convenient! Ample parking, clean areas, No pool (we knew before we went) but that is essentially the only downside.

Breakfast on the weekend started at 6:30 am, a bit too late for us to take advantage of before hitting the road. Front desk folks were pleasant and helpful.

We had 2 different rooms. our bad as in retrospect we would have been happy with just the original 2 bed setup, but boss lady wanted a suite which is much larger and equipped with a desk, a second TV and a sleep-able couch. It was super roomy and more money but not necessary and I wouldn't do it again. Regular room is sufficient. The AC was great and quiet. That is huge plus to me who didn't have to use earplugs! I had no problem navigating the cable and Netflix. The bath and shower were good, (the suite had a bathtub). Didn't utilize the heated pool or gym but both looked fine, certainly adequate if you must use the treadmill on your stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Both days the hosts were super friendly and let's see scrambled or hard-boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, bagels, English muffins, cereals, yogurt, banana etc. The coffee which was very much needed was excellent. Here is where they won the "above and beyond award". Left my pillow LOL how could it be, it's my best friend. Anyways I called up Monday afternoon upon arriving home and after saying OMG 5 times I called the hotel and spoke to Collin who assured me that it happens all the time hmm ok there are other idiots like me. He said UPS will pick it up and they would run my card for the exact cost and ship it to me. Lo and behold today is only Wed and I have my pillow back! Great job Collin my employee of the month!

The small kitchen works if you are prepared and smart. We brought our cast iron pan which worked well. The cabins are on two sides of a busy road. The newer air conditioned ones and larger cabins are by themselves and the smaller units are by the office and pool on the other side of the road. The comforter was dirty and the bathroom needed another pass. The garbage from the last guests had not been removed which meant we couldn't really enjoy the porch because of the garbage smell. You can't stick people with your last guest's garbage!

Breakfast was included and everything was cooked in house with really delicious and unique options like rosemary potatoes, high quality yogurt, and homemade jams. It all felt very homemade - because it was! The dining room was adorable and matched the rest of the property, which is filled with antiques. There are antiques everywhere in the hallways and the rooms carry that same vintage feel, which makes it really fun just to walk around and explore. There is also a library room with a pool table that feels like the cutest vintage lounge space. The pool area was amazing with a large hot tub, a nice pool, and a sauna. At night they have fire pits and complimentary s'mores packs so you can go outside and roast marshmallows. There are also games to borrow, a bar, river access, and so much more. The on-site restaurant 506 Bistro serves up pretty decent fare (including Maine mussels and fries for a mere $18) and you can sit at the bar and chat with other guests while Ryan or David provide you with stellar service. The clientele here has a nice, friendly vibe that isn't so abundant at some other hotels in town. HIGHLY recommend!!

Walked back downstairs and the attendant reset the key. Walked back upstairs and the key still didn't work. Went down again and she acted like we were inconveniencing her. She let us in with her master key. Dirty sheets, stains on comforter, stains on carpet. Went down yet again to the front desk. All she would do was offer us another room to which wasn't much better. Asked to speak to the manager and she informed us that he was gone for the day (3pm) and wasn't available. Not a great stay to say the least.

There are cheaper accommodations locally but didn't want to drive after the party. Event appeared to go well. Food was typical banquet food. Service was sometimes slow but generally ok A tip of $2 per night was automatically added to the bill which found out from the literature in the room and saw in the bill at checkout.
