This is a beautiful park. The equipment is so well kept as well as the landscaping. There's a gazebo to have a party, a sidewalk to ride your scooter, bike or skateboard. The theme is prehistoric animals which include fossils, dinosaurs and a mammoth. There's several slides and swings as well. They have basketball courts and a baseball field. The playground is shaded so I'm sure that helps a lot in the summer summer read more

Super cute playground. The bigger playground with the woolly mammoth is completely shaded. The little playground has just a little shade. Would like shaded area for parents to sit, the chairs around the playground and in full sun. My grandkids ask for this playground every time they visit. read more

Definitely one of the nicer parks near us and my son loves this playground. He especially loves the dinosaur & mammoth! The park is huge! There's also a few tennis courts, a basketball court, an area for baseball & tons of tables. It would be a great place to host a birthday party!! Arguably one of the best public parks in Corona. It is right by my house in a nice neighborhood. The huge green area behind the main baseball field is stunning when the grass is green. It's big enough, but not huge, for all kinds of private event as well as some public ones too. I really like this park, but a few improvements I'd like to see: - Not just exclusive to this park, but Corona really needs some actual designer involvement for parks & recreations and other public works. everything they update/build look like they are about 2 decades behind in design trend (the new playground and shade strutures...) - trash cans throughout the park can use an update and more maintenance. basketball court can use new nets and paint Not really the problem with the park itself, but: - a lot of people damaging park stuctures (street lamps, playground structure, signage) - people setting up fireworks every other non-holiday nights - unleashed dogs / owners who don't pick up after their pets read more

I randomly found this park driving around as I was visiting family in Corona but wanted to get a quick walk in for steps! I'm fond of walking in parks & was so happy to find this park because once I started walking the path, I ran into the Mountain Gate Green Belt which extends the path & good for walking/running. They even have exercise equipment along the path. And the gorgeous jacaranda trees are in bloom right now. Win, win! I love seeing people having picnics, walking, riding their scooters & the field being used for sports. This is my second time here so whenever I need a quick exercise, I'll come here if I'm in the area. Gotta love the outdoors! read more

The City of Corona has a lot of nice parks and Mountain Gate is a great one. The park features a couple of nice waking paths that are well lite for early morning or evening walks, several baseball diamonds, a play area for the kids, tennis and basketball courts and multiple picnic areas. The picnic areas can be reserved by visiting city hall or the community center. I held a friends retirement party there and it was a huge success due to the venue and it's flexibility. The park is located on a hill and provides commanding views of the Cleveland National Forrest and the Angeles National Forrest. read more

I'm so grateful to live near this wonderful park. Ever since I was a kid I've been coming here to go to potlucks that were held on the picnic tables with a shade structure overlooking the playground, have picnics on the grass with lots of options by one of the many trees, exercise, read a book on one of the many benches that are always available, get professional photos taken, play tennis as a beginner and even get pointers from some friendly fellow tennis players. I haven't utilized the the basketball court or the baseball field but those are some fun leisure options too depending on what you like. Anytime I go for a walk which is typically at least 3 times a week I always walk from my house which is about half a mile away and I continue my walk through the park until I reach the section of the park that's adjacent to the fire station. The walking path towards the fire station is really peaceful. It's in between neighborhoods so it's really quiet, the only noise present is the amazing sound of the tall bushy trees swaying in the wind. I love walking this route to think and enjoy myself AND on top of all of this there's a steady incline all the way to the end of the park. If you briskly walk you'll probably break a sweat and feel it in your legs at least a little bit. When I get to the end of the park there's usually a lot of bunnies running around, I try to be gentle with my steps because they get scared easily and run away to hide. Almost everyone is really friendly here. I smile and say hello to my fellow walkers and runners and 9 times out of 10 they'll smile back. I genuinely feel a sense of community here. Corona added a "Story Walk" program in 2021 for kids so that they can walk around the park and read each "page" to promote physical activity and literacy. I think this is a good idea but I every time I glance over at the stories they have here and it's never anything intellectually stimulating. I took a picture of pages from 2 different stories that they had and it wasn't anything that you could really learn from, like the black little girl being proud of her textured hair doesn't teach kids anything it's just a bunch of fluff. It would be nice if the stories were centered around learning new things that could spark curiosity in children like a book that has a few fun facts that inspire kids to ask thought provoking questions and makes them want to learn more about a topic. Self acceptance is important, but I think it's no where near as important as learning new things and being curious. That's my take on it, hopefully the writers of the story walks realize that their content isn't as good as it could be when it comes to teaching kids new things. read more

Mountain Gate park doesn't have a mountain. I don't understand why this park is called Mountain Gate? There are some nearby hills, but they're no where near the size of mountains. Other than that I certainly do love taking runs around this park. There's so many things to look at and enjoy if I don't run, such as the play ground with slides and swings, a few tennis courts, and even 3 baseball parks. If you want to enjoy a nice picnic, just lounge on the grass with a blanket. Or you can go to the table area which has a roof over. The running path intertwines through a neighborhood. No, not the streets and drive way kind of path. It's a path that goes between the neighborhood where you just see the back portion of the houses. The path also includes several workout stations, like poles for pull ups. My favorite is the height jump one: you have to squat and jump up as high as you can. Short me can almost reach 7 ft. What I also like about the pathway is that there are portions for up hill or down hill, depending which way you are going. I definitely want to come back and perhaps do a little BBQ picnic of some sort :) read more

This is a great park to ride bikes, scooters or just go for a walk. I've never seen homeless at this park.

This park is a great park for the kiddos and any family gathering to be honest. There's lots of space to run and have fun. The grass is always trimmed and the park looks clean. They have tennis courts, a basketball court, baseball fields, etc. I enjoy taking my son here and letting him get rid of all that excess energy that all toddlers seem to have. It's also great because we get to be social with other people and make new friends! Also, if your little one needs a cup of milk or you needed to buy something to eat, there's a little shopping plaza that is literally within walking distance of the park. I find that very convenient since sometimes my little one gets extra hungry from playing so much. The neighborhood here is safe, and quiet for the most part, which is a plus in my book! read more

Nice big park, plenty of parking and really clean. Went for a kid's birthday party and the kids loved it-- plenty of room to run around and even a playground. It rained a lot halfway through the party but the covered gazebo/picnic area is huge and allowed the party to go on. I don't live in Corona, but if I did this would be my go-to park. read more

This is a very nice neighborhood park with lots to offer. It has 2 baseball fields, 4 tennis courts and a basketball court, but also a jungle gym for the kids and plenty of green grassy area. The walking paths are extensive and well-maintained. They're great for taking a nice stroll, brisk walk or even a run. It's also nice for walking your dog, but make sure you bring something to pick-up after them. The parks lights are bright at night around the fields and courts, but the walking paths do tend to get dark at some points. The parking lot is a decent size, but does fill up whenever there are games going on on the fields. This park is also conveniently located right across from Albertson's in the event you forgot to bring something to your picnic or game. read more

Mountain Gate has two baseball fields, a basketball court, and four tennis courts-which means plenty to do besides picnic when you make a visit. A playground for kids and sheltered picnic tables. You can get a permit from the city to have a huge party in the park to have a jumper or whatever too. Tons of parking for all your guests too. This is my favorite park in Corona because it is spacious. The park goes through a lot of nearby residential areas, making it convenient to get here walking if you live in the area. The two green areas out of the main park are great for playing with your dogs or if you need some privacy from a busy Saturday afternoon. read more

Awesome park! You can take the path through the top side of the park through the residential area and work out on the path with the exercise equipment provided (i.e. parallel bars, ladder, benches, pull ups, step ups, jump ups, etc.) It's an awesome quiet place to work out! read more

There is a playground with swing set and slides. There is plenty of space for kids and adults to come play or walk around. There are 4 tennis court, basketball court, and 3 baseball field. Overall this is a pretty decent park in terms of space. It does get crowded at times here and parking gets difficult. read more

I love Mountain Gate Park. I love the walking path with exercises along the way to try. I like that the path has light posts all the way along it.
