There are a couple of unisex/handicap restrooms that I would prefer to use for privacy and they claim to have changing stations, but every time I have been here these have been locked. I'm not sure why. During the week the park is PACKED with kids once the neighboring school lets out. Overall not a bad park for a little picnic and some playtime.

My son has been coming here for about 6 years now for swim lessons and all the instructors have been nice. They have classes for infants all the way to adults. There are two pools where they do the swim lessons. It also seems like they do lessons for teenagers who are doing more competitive swim. Not sure if they are from a specific school or just train here but seems like they do all types of training here. We also have been to the water park side and it was fun. We went once day during the week and it wasn't to packed. I can imagine on the weekends it does get more packed and since its not a huge place I can imagine it does get crowded in popular areas such as the wave pool. I've also seen advertisements for when they have movie nights and other events so it seems like there is something for everyone. Overall this is a nice complex with someone for everyone. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

Worst check in experience ever. Loud noise all through the night of kids screaming and running around. There was also a gas leak event that happened in Garden Grove that they didn't even alert us all about. Absolute negligence for the customer. Will NOT return and caution everyone who is looking to stay here, that they don't value the customer.

Now, it's a pretty good place to bring the kids for a few hours of cool swimming on a hot day. The park is small, limited to a large pool for regular swimming, a splash pad for younger kids, a three story tower with multiple slides, a quick flowing lazy river, and the aforementioned wave machine. On crowded days, you can end up brushing elbows in the water with strangers, and it can be a 10 minute wait for a slide. But, even in the middle of summer, I never felt like it was too packed to cause any problems. Prices are reasonable. Around $70 will get you a season pass that will let you come all summer. And, if you're like me, there's a $11 Happy Hour option that let's you hang out for a couple of hours before the pool closes ... a perfect once or twice a week choice to bring young kids that want to swim, but you don't want them baking too long in the sun. The pool itself is as clean as you'd expect; the surrounding area has some wear and tear, but nothing too bad considering the age of the place. And all of the lifeguards are well trained, very attentive, and still friendly while doing the unenviable task of making sure people don't get overly rowdy. All-in-all, The Wave isn't as grand as a Raging Rivers or the water park at LegoLand, but it's still well priced and fine enough to keep your kids cool and happy. I'm sure I'll be back next summer.

He has always had some difficulty getting comfortable around water, but something about this place completely changed that. By the end of the day, he didn't want to stay away from the water at all! Even though he wasn't tall enough to try some of the attractions because of the height requirements, he still had an amazing time exploring the areas that were available to him. There was more than enough for him to enjoy, and we ended up staying from opening all the way until closing time. The park was a wonderful family experience, and seeing my son gain confidence and have so much fun made the visit even more special. We can't wait to come back again. Hopefully by our next visit he'll be a little taller and able to enjoy even more attractions. This definitely won't be our last trip! The only thing I hope the park can improve is the cleanliness and safety of the restrooms. During our visit, some areas of the restroom floors were quite wet and slippery. It would be great if they could be cleaned and monitored more frequently to help prevent slips and keep guests safe.
