A recent move back into the area makes this my home course now. It is a challenging "mountain" course... well maybe not mountain, but definitely hilly. Lots of sidehill lies and depending on the hole, the hill can either work in your favor or just completely against you. Here's my take: Positives: - Hardly ever backed up on the weekdays. Longest wait between shots was approx 5 min, but that group only played the front 9. - Hills that extend your drives a few yards. Usually have to use a 7 iron to reach, now can use a 9 or P! - Usually solid greens, if they're not punched the week before. A few dry spots here and there. Most divots are fixed! - Nice fairways with less dead spots than some other courses. There's a drought so that's understandable. - Some nice views of the valley. - A good workout if you're walking. - Range: Hit off the grass on the certain days. - Good deals on Golfzing. - A 214 yd Par 3 hitting over a canyon. This hole is a major test. Negatives: - Hills that extend your drives. Your pipeline drive lands on fairway and gets funneled into the rough because of the hill layout. (#5 and #8 I'm looking at you). - Range ball machine typically has some kind of malfunction. Every time I've used it, it only gave me a small bucket size although I had a medium or large code. By the way the staff reacts seems like a known issue. Get it fixed! - Some holes funnel down into canyon no matter where you hit the fairway. I enjoy this course quite a bit and will return often. read more

If you think golf isn't a sport, trying walking this course. I promise it'll kick your butt if you carry your clubs after 9 holes. This is a very hilly course and good practice for testing your stamina if you walk. Many elevated tees help the ego, but beware if you don't drive it fairly straight, you'll be in a world of hurt trying to hit up hill out of the rough. My favorite hole is the par 3 9th. Pin is usually white near the right side next to the water. You'll have to carry just the tip of the small water hazard. Better short than long because the green slopes back to front and can be a tricky 2-putt from the back of the green. The most challenging is the par 3 13th stretching 190 yd and you'll have to carry a large ravine on the right. If you slice, don't even bother watching, re-tee and aim to the left where you can safely layup. Balls that land on the green (few and far between) are usually short. It's very hard to reach the pin when it's in the back. Overall a good experience with a mix of easy and challenging holes. read more

This years Christmas luncheon was held at Mountain Meadows. The food was delish, we had sliced beef in au jus, chicken, red potatoes, green salad, pasta salad, zucchini and assorted veggies. This was my first time playing at this course and I was impressed to say the least at the quality of a city owned course. My friends and I played a round at 10:15 am during the week thinking it would be empty - NOT. I don't understand why there were so many people playing golf? ahem ahem - so many "older" people. To say the least, our round was slow - very slow. The tee boxes were in decent shape, the fairways were good and the greens were alright at the beginning but became slower towards the end of the round. This course is challenging for the green fees which by the way, are regulated by the city of Los Angeles. No GPS on the carts and no beverage person during weekdays. Snack bar was typical and the pro shop was weak unless you needed a sleeve of balls and/or tees. Other than that, I would definitely play here again and I recommend it to anyone looking to play a decent round in the Pomona/San Dimas area. This course is conveniently located off of the 10 freeway. However, be warned that the pace of play is slower than average. I would say carve out at least 5 - 5 1/2 hours to finish. read more

Mountain Meadows could not have been any easier of a choice for my husband and I. When we first met with Gaby and Cori in July 2015, we were amazed at how awesome their team and packages were. Not only are their packages flexible to what you want, but they come with everything. Including a list of preferred vendors who make the entire process easy! We really did not have to outsource at all and were able to find everything we need to be above and beyond what we even hoped for. Both event managers were always helpful and got back to me in a timely manner, and the rest of the staff was always so nice and helpful with anything I needed. From the initial meeting to the day of the wedding, everyone was so helpful. We even used the bridal suite from 7am until the moment the husband and I had our grand exit and left. Like I said, Mountain Meadows really does have everything!! We were engaged for 7 months and had it practically planned in 4 months. What bride wouldn't like an easy process! read more

Came here to golf, right away experience started bad as I was told that they were behind on tee times and carts. I had a 12:00 tee and showed up at 11:40 to try and avoid the issue of this place being run poorly especially in these challenging times. Anyway I noticed people had small coolers as I was waiting for my cart to arrive, so I decided to go get mine. As I was walking in 2 of the men working there came to me straight away and started accusing me of having beer demanding to see inside the cooler, which was weird because they had to walk past 3 people with coolers to get to me. So after that chat I waited probably another 20 minutes to get a cart. Btw 2 of the carts they gave us were broken. In order to make the gas pedal work, you had to pull back on it before pressing it down. Definitely a safety issue, that wasn't the only one but that's just an opinion that's comparing them to the golf courses as the Pacific Palms resort. So after I got my cart at 12:40 (yes I looked at my watch) then we headed to the tee. I noticed right away the marshal for the course that sat on his phone by the clubhouse the entire time I was waiting for a cart suddenly followed us onto the course. Seems like they just sent him to look for a reason to kick us out. Weird that he started doing his job as soon as we went to the tee. We all teed off then we were informed half way down the first hole that we couldn't have my 7 year old nephew with us because it would be too many people according to the CDC. I understood that they only wanted 5 people at a time but the man that came up to us right away started being very rude to my nephew specifically which is when the tempers got hot because I couldn't believe a grown man was trying to bully my 7 year old nephew in front of me. We tried to help the situation by telling them we'll split up so it would be a group of 2 and another of 3. The man then told us to leave and get a refund or he was going to call the cops. We waited for the man to call GolfNow because we wanted a refund and we book our tee time through that app. My story is subjective though, I gave such a low review because of bad social distancing and the only cleaning they do to the carts is a spray with the power washer. I do have to say that there was one lady that was totally helpful and nice. Every man that was wearing a light blue shirt seemed to have a bad bully attitude in my opinion though. Course looked ok but I can't give a good review to a place that sent a grown man onto a golf course to bully a child instead of work with the 4 grown men standing there. read more

Very nice course to play on. I loved the fairways on the holes throughout the course. It is a bit narrow, but it's a good lesson for beginners. My friends and I paid the standard rate with carts, and was very happy with the service from the staff. Definitely will come back and try out the course again, hope to join in on the tourneys that they offer. The one star missing from this course is the amount of n00blets that come and play on the course. On the last hole, some idiot was in my line of sight, and decided to pitch his ball back to his fairway. I did hit my ball, while he was on my fairway, and it hit his cart--nearly missing his head. In general, they should have more marshals on the course, as these type of idiot golfers (actually, are not golfers, but idiots in general) are bound to get killed by a 200+ mph golf ball one day. read more

One of the worst rounds of golf I have ever played, and I am not talking about my performance. My club played a tournament here today and the greens were the worst greens I have ever played in my 20+ years of golfing. The greens were shaggy, cut uneven and covered in fungus patches. I've had better times putting on freshly punched greens. Perhaps they were preparing the greens for aeration but if that is the case then they should have been offering a discounted rate. The 2-star rating is for the staff that was working the check-in desk this morning. They were impatient and rude; there was a misunderstanding about whether we had already paid for our group or not (we had) and when it was finally cleared up the guy was unprofessional about the whole thing. The delay at the front desk made us late to tee off and then he sent his goon to harass us on the course to tell us to hurry up (they booked two groups of five back to back). Some of ended up not even playing holes so we could "hurry up" as requested. I liked the back 9 best; not as cramped. read more

Not a bad course as it wraps around the hills etc, with a few blind shots as you approach the green. Couple of dead spots on fairways, drought and all that. Grass driving range. What's with American Golf owned courses and its pace of play?!?!? This place, Brookside, Diamond Bar, Los Verdes, etc. Argh. read more

The staff is super helpful and caring every step of the way, both Corey and Sam made theirselves available to me the day of our wedding and I Couldn't be more grateful. Nice challenging course in pretty good shape. Played a round yesterday and enjoyed myself. Big issue with the 1st tee, however. There's nobody organizing the starts and the carts are lined up with no regard to tee times. I even had 724am tee time. I showed up early, warmed up in the range, then went down to the first tee to a line of at least 3 groups ahead of us. What time was their tee time? Who knows? All I know was that I waited and started at least 40 minutes late. I love to golf, but I have other things to do on a Saturday and even I schedule a tee time in advance, I expect to get out on time. We had our wedding here just recently so our feelings are fresh. Overall, beautiful wedding. The kitchen staff was amazing for the event. Very helpful/ attentive/ considerate with our guests. Set-up was gorgeous. We did both the gazebo ceremony and the reception here. They allowed us to come in early to set up our centerpieces. Everything went as planned up to the day of and after the ceremony. However... I don't want to bad mouth the coordinators/ ladies who were supposed to make sure things ran smoothly the day of but they checked out early and did not inform us of this. After my husband and I got back from taking our photos together the lady who was supposed to facilitate the day left and we were a bit lost. This was our only gripe. Our DJ and photographer helped so much in the order of the rest of the night. The kitchen manager Michelle was fantastic. She calmed my nerves when I felt lost or concerned. I do recommend having your wedding here. Just make sure you know what the plan is for the day of. I was told for previous weddings that they had a staff member coordinate the entire night. We just didn't have that but like I said... We were very pleased and our guests had an amazing time overall. read more

Typical muni set up. Course is challenging enough. Greens are so so. Not horrible but not great. Its ok to walk but can get hilly. You can find some decent deals but it can get busy during the weekends. I normally wouldnt okay this course but if my friends want t hang here, i will. A day of golf is better than no day of golf so its worth it. But id rather Play at some other courses than here. read more

The review is for the 19th hole. We are a traveling men's group and this is arguably one of the best municipal restaurants in so cal. I'm assuming it's been recently remodeled because it's modern looking with great seating and plenty of Tv's (8-10 if I recall correctly). The staff was great and food came out quickly. They have plenty of local brews on drafts. Pricing is reasonable and the breakfast was great. The golf course kicked my butt and could use some work. Plenty of rough patches that should be labeled GUR and the greens play a little bumpy and inconsistent but the views make up for the rough day. Pace of play is also an issue. read more

My experiences here are mixed. I've golfed during the weekday during twilight where I walked the entire golf course without having to stop at a hole, I just played right through. I've been here on other occasions where I have to wait for maybe two groups at every hole. So if you play twilight before 3pm, you may or may not finish. As far as the course, it is difficult because this course is on a mountain. There are a lot of holes with sideways or sloping lies. There are a few holes where you can't see the pin, so its good to play with someone who knows the course so they can tell you where to hit and where the ball will end up if you hit a certain part of the hill. The course is in good condition, with several holes that have great mountain views. I'd go back again! read more

Today I came to this course hearing great things and as soon as I try to pay for a tee time the guy at the front desk states that they are booked. Now that's not true due to I checked tee times and they were completely opened this is mind blowing that you'd treat a customer that wants to pay for a round like that and be lied too last time I come here. the course itself was nice but goodness there were too many people when I was there last weekend. In fact my family and I had to wait about 1 hour past our tee time due to shortage of the carts. The staff didn't seem to know how to manage the whole cart situation when some prefer to ride alone and needed 4 separate carts for a foursome. It's understandable that you prefer to ride alone because of covid but there were just too many people waiting for carts past their tee times. It's either they have to get more carts or not have tee times scheduled every 10 minute or so. There were also this group of 7 guys who played together as one group, came back with 7 separate carts which was a nonsense. The management clearly noted maximum people playing together is 4. I don't think I'll ever come back unless I hear their system have changed. One of the people waiting told me the situation was the same on the weekdays. read more

I rarely give bad reviews and it sucks that I have to right now. The course was great but the people there that are playing are so slow and won't let you pass them. These 3 ladies literally came in front of us to hit while we were standing on the tee. They didn't give a fk. On the 7th or 8th hole they were on the phone for over 10minutes doing God knows what. We tell the ambassador and he says shrugs. I can't do anything and they're saying they're not holding anyone back. Never had this experience before and I hope to ever have to go thru it again. It's fine for old ppl to come play but let the young guys go first. Hitting 10 times for a par 3 or 4 like c'mon. We left after the 9th hole which we skipped. The pace was going great until we caught up to the old ladies. When we got there 3 other guys were waiting for them. There was no one on the fairway or the green. Wtf were these ladies doing?! We had our wedding reception at Mountain Meadows this past November. Cori and Gaby were very professional and took care of all of our requests from A to Z. We "interviewed" several other venues and Mountain Meadows was, by far, the most accommodating and offered the best package with some of the finer amenities, all packaged at a beautiful location with many spectacular views for pictures. Don't let the "golf course" name fool you, this venue is far from typical and rivaled some of the higher end, more expensive locations we looked at. We were very pleased and would/do recommend them to anyone. read more

Golf course is good, but super crowed with slow Asians.. Here for a wedding and the venue is beautiful. The ceremony was on the eighteenth hole, and the reception was in a dining hall right behind it. Very pretty hold course and a nice place to have a wedding. read more

This is one of the better muni golf courses in the la area. Played here once before a few years ago and went back today. Course was in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were level and not too torn up except for one of the short par 3s... Expect a lot of uphill golf and interesting breaks on the green. Great price for the track and yes it is pretty slow. Played on Saturday at 10am, we finished in 5.5 hours. One of the major downsides is that they allow 5somes. Saw the cart lady twice thru 18 holes. I will definitely play here again. read more

this has nothing to do with the actual golf course its self. the golf course is a nice and a great course to golf on. with covid going on this place is an absolute nightmare though! absolutely terrible service!!!!!!!!!!! they made my 9 year carry his own golf clubs and walk the whole course while my dad drove a cart next to him. both my dad and son live in the same household. as i told the gentlemen on the phone, update your website because if i would have known they were doing this i would have never booked the tee time for my dad for this golf course. we have a household of 8 that all golf and we will never be back to this course due to the terrible service and making my 9-year-old walk the course. be aware and call and ask what their covid policy are since they have not updated their website in over year!!!!!! read more

This course has a majestic landscape! It's gorgeous and has amazing views! This is not a beginners course, but is a fun place to set goals to meet. The team is always kind, patient, and professional. A kind guy that works in the pro shop named Ray , has been yelled at by patrons on more than one occasion and he always remains, calm, patient, kind, and professional. The driving range is always packed and it too has a beautiful view. The course seems to be doing a great job cleaning the carts, and most of the baskets. It would be nice to have more hand sanitizing stations. This is a wonderful golf course! read more

Nice facilities but they have trouble serving large groups (200+). They ran out of food items during the buffet and ended up rushing to bring more to restock it, but ended up bringing out under cooked food. Many people had to wait over 20 minutes in line in the sun and missed an important part of the program. On a bright note...the greens and fairways looked great. read more

I just attended a work event two days ago and haven't been able to leave the bathroom since. We had Italian food which had salad, pasta, bread, meatballs and sausage. I also work in the food industry and I know something was mishandled here. I know a few other people are having the same symptoms. This sucks my weekend has been spent in the restroom. Please be more careful as these mistakes could potentially kill someone. read more

Mountain meadows golf course is a decent track. Better hit it straight because parts of the course is pretty undulating with lots of trees and rough areas. The putting greens are fairly flat and I usually have a good putting round going on, I really enjoy playing here! Good snack bar too! read more

Pleasantly surprised by the course. The design is very good and the course is in decent condition. Some of the holes layouts are very similar to some pretty well respected courses I have played. Thank you Ted Robinson, Sr. for your design. Considering the amount of play and location in Pomona, I would consider this a relative gem in the LA County choices of places to play. My sisters wedding was just here this last weekend. The staff was AMAZING! Their coordinators are fabulous, they understand that everyone is a little nervous they couldn't have been more accommodating! They really know what their doing! The only reason I'm not going with 5 stars is because of the giant ugly dead tree behind the ceremony gazebo, and the the way the windows were not covered in preparation of the sun that was a little awkward. Oh AND the catering staff was amazing too. If it were just for the staff I would have put 5 stars all the way!! read more

This was the worst golf experience my group has ever had. I booked the tee time last week on an email special for $29.97. When we showed up today it was discovered that they had just punched the greens yesterday and guess what, they never told anyone. That's right every golfer there was as surprised as we were. When we asked why, all they could say was call American Golf and complain. On top of the greens being punched, they had their crew out applying sand. They also don't tell you that they are under construction and the rest/bar is shut down. What else could go wrong. Oh yea, they are reconstructing their bunkers, so 18 is shutdown. I think this will be the last time my group drives hours to play this course. The staff has really let everyone down. read more
